Be sure to follow and love just like you all did for me. So this is a special story and shoutout, hope you all like it.
Little treasures in the sky gleamed brightly, and moon shines it's light to the citizens of New York City. The night seemed to be more peaceful than the day. Unless you have crimes roaming through the streets or rooftops. Though his adventures with his friends were a blast, Casey Jones was bored.
Ever since he had met his new friends, the turtles, along with his friend who he loves to pieces, April O'Neil, he had quite few adventures of fighting the Kraang, and stopping the Purple Dragons and their master. But despite those adventures, Casey felt he needed something more. He did intend to protect the streets on his own without the turtles, and that didn't go so well, especially how it was too peaceful.
In school, it could be worst. People like to spread rumors, and him and April were one of the top people to be whispered about. They would always say they were together, and they want no one but themselves. April denied their words, as Casey wished they were real.
He's always liked April more than some silly friend she has. Though she notices his flirting, she never tried to do or feel the same. Typical girl is what Casey calls her, but he still respects her in any way.
He thought he would never get over April. But that changed, tonight...
He was sitting on the rooftop, just like he would always do when he had nothing to do. He was writing in his little doodle journal about his adventures with the turtles and April. He would do this whenever the turtles were busy, or if April was doing homework or something else that didn't involve him.
"Sunday July 3," he wrote. "Glorious night. We don't normally get this around New York. Must be a good sign of some sort. April says from her dad it could be the sign of true hoping for this city to have; basically good luck. Nothing has really happen for me. The turtles are on patrol, and April is visiting her uncle since his wife passed away. Of course I'm not involved! I don't get what I'm suppose to do whenever they are gone. No one in school really likes me and likes to make stupid jokes for my gap, plus it's summer, so that's out. It's so boring not fighting without anyone. April surely has the good skills of a female ninja. But what good could night have? Maybe luck will come. But when?"
Suddenly, the sounds of a singing bell came to his attention as he saw some more citizens of New York enter a store. It was the new market in town, as a family was moved into the city. No one knows the family so well, but some people say they are the nicest ever to step foot in New York. Casey has never met them. But that's when his idea of luck came to mine.
He smiled as he heard clinging from his pocket of coins and dollars. Maybe he'll buy something. So then he finished his writing for the night. "Maybe a small snack could work. Maybe luck is coming, or more adventure."
Eventually he made it to the sidewalk and road leaving his hockey gear and backpack behind, to reach it to the market known as, 'Apples and Veggies'. This was obviously those vegan stores, which wasn't what Casey was a fan of. He did like the taste of apples.
As he stepped in, he saw people buying some of the food the family offered, and some studying the outside for bruises. There were a lot of food that wasn't involve with much meat. He the spot the new family, as the grandma was at the front giving people their food and selling them. She seemed so sweet and harmless, unlike most old ladies.
He turned his head to find two people, one man who was large and had orange hair and red skin, as for the other was a young girl with yellow skin and red hair wearing a pink bow, putting away some apples in the bucket. The young girl put the price for the apples, and they were the cheapest thing Casey had ever seen. They were 1 dollar total. How cheap do these people wanna go?
So then Casey step towards the two people getting their attention as he approached, and said, "Hi there. You must be the new family in town."
"Why howdy there." The young girl said with a smile of sweetness. "I'm Applebloom, and this is my big brother, Big Macintosh."
"Eeyep." Said the red skin man as he smiled shyly to Casey.
Their names were very unusual to him, but he didn't mind. After all, his name is Casey, which is to be a girl and boy's name, and of course, people love to assume he's a girl. "Well, I guess welcome to New York. I hear you guys are the nicest in town."
"Why that's mighty nice of you." Applebloom spoke again. "Normally we get mean insults, like we're wimps according to some people."
"Eeyep."
As Big Macintosh left his little sister with Casey, he whispered to Applebloom, "He doesn't talk much, does he?"
"Nope. You'll see he's real mighty kind, even if he don't talk much." She said. "Anyways, welcome to Apples and Veggies. How may I help you?"
He grew his grin and said, "Well I guess I would like to take an apple, since I don't really got much."
"Why that is alright good sir. How much ya got?" She said with a smile.
This was a surprise to Casey. He was expecting her to demand more food with his money. He explain he had only 3 dollars, and somehow Applebloom approved it finely. "Why that is alrighty my good man. One apple is right for you." She grabbed one handing it to him and said, "Either my granny or big sister might be up there." She pointed to the counter where the grandmother stood at giving people their food products. He nodded in understand meant, and was in line.
It didn't seem too long so much. Only 4 people had passed and 3 more were in need to be finished off, including himself. He wondered why these people are never around, because New York was never the nicest place. There were barley any kind hearted people. But he guessed the world can't change.
Suddenly, he awoken from his thoughts, and was back to reality when he heard the grandma shout for someone to take over her position. "Come out youngin, because your granny about to be your uncle Applejam on a summer's day melting."
She left the counter and left her other family member take over. But that was when Casey was in shock with who this new one was.
It was another female, but young, in her teen years it seemed. She looked very beautiful as she approached to her grandmother's station. Her long blond hair flew as she ran a bit, but was able to keep her cowgirl hat on. She had the cutest freckle cheeks that made her look even more young. She was almost as pretty as April was.
"Excuse me sir? You coming?" Her voice spoke in a strong tone, very lovely.
But that's wen he realized she was talking to him for he was up next. He was holding the line. Blushing from embarrassment, he immediately walked to the counter and handed her the apple.
She held it and ask, "You sure just the apple sugarcube?"
"Yeah. I ain't really into much, especially with my money problems." He said.
"Alrighty then. That will be 1 dollar." She began to put it in a bag for him as the receit came out.
He grabbed his money and handed her the dollar. As she took it, he noticed something about her eyes. They were very gorgeous, emerald green. They were almost like his pal, Raphael's, but different. It made her stand out and look amazing.
She noticed him staring oddly at her and asked, "Why you staring at me like that?"
He woke up again from the thought of his and said, "Nothing. Sorry. Just wondering, how come you guys are selling apples for 1 dollar? I mean it's a good thing for me to keep some change, but still."
"Well, I guess you can say me and my folks aren't exactly into pushing ourselves by making prices big." She spoke. "Plus, that would be ridiculous to pay more for an apple or two."
"It would." He chuckled. "So, when did you and your folks moved here?"
"About a week ago I believe." She said. "We still live in our little farm back at Sweet Apple Acres."
"Hm, I've never heard of that place."
She sighed. "That's what most of the city folks have said so far, especially how we're suck ups."
Seemed the entire city was worse than high school. Lucky for her she didn't have to go to school. Casey then noticed the disappointment in her freckle face, and felt the need to cheer her up. "Well, as much as it sounds strange, especially coming from me, I think you guys are really cool. I mean, we barley get any nice people in New York."
She looked back at him, a bit surprised. But then she smiled with him, and even had a small blush across her cheeks. "Well that's mighty nice of you. Thanks."
"Hey, just telling the truth." He then reached his hand out to hertz shake her hand. "Casey Jones."
"I'm Applejack." She said shaking his. But as she shook it, she felt something in his hand. It was a piece of paper. She accidentally had grabbed it from him. But as she was about to give it back to him, she realized it had his name on it and some numbers.
"I don't know if you have a phone, but if you ever need to talk, there's my number." He said grinning at her.
She smiled holding the paper tightly. "Thank you. It's very nice to meet you Jones."
"You too." By then, Casey had left the building, leaving the cowgirl in the store, almost amazed and very happy.
What made it strange, Casey was happy too. He wondered if he would ever see her again.
He only hoped soon.
To be continued...
Now I am off to bed. Goodnight
