Chapter 7: Taurtis: Start of the Test

Sam lightly punched me in the shoulder, and I sat up. Chrissy was onstage, holding the microphone. The music started to play, and she sang,

"Heart beats fast. Colors and promises. How to be brave? How can I love when I'm a afraid to fall? But watching you stand alone, all of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow. One step closer.

"I have died everyday, waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more."

~A/N: I'm sorry, okay? It was the first thing I thought of. And I know all the words to it. Don't freak out on me~

Out of the two or three weeks I had heard Chrissy sing, I had to admit she was pretty good. In fact, she was enchanting. She had her own type of voice, that fit perfectly with every song she sang, and still sounded exactly the same.

I looked to my left and saw Sam gazing at Chrissy. I mentally rolled my eyes. He was so gullible when it came to girls he liked.

"Dude," I whispered. "You're staring." Sam suddenly realized what he was doing. I laughed softly. "You're such a sucker."

"Taurtis!" Sam whisper-yelled. He was blushing like a madman. "Don't say that!"

"But it's true."

"No it's not." I laughed again. Then we both turned around and watched Chrissy until she finished her song. Me and Sam clapped. Chrissy put back the microphone, then walked off the stage.

"You were great!" Sam said enthusiastically.

"Thanks," Chrissy said. We walked out of the school and headed towards the road. Then I got a text. It was from Chan.

"@Taurtis, can you come over to my house after school?"

I typed, "@ChanYandere uh, sure!" I told Sam and Chrissy.

"Well, see you later!" they said. I ran off to Chan's house and knocked on the door. Chan opened it.

"Come in Taurtis!" she said. "You wanna watch some Hunter X Hunter?"

"Sure," I said, walking in. I sat down on her couch, and she put in the DVD (A/N: Is it a DVD?). We had barely started to watch it when their was a knock on the door. Chan went to it and opened it. In walked Yuki, and then the Yakuza guy. Chrissy's dad. I made my face expressionless.

"Taurtis, this man wanted to see you, but he didn't want to talk to Sam too. That's why I invited you over," Chan said. I got up.

"What do you want?" I asked in a normal tone.

"I was going to tell you that you are very peculiar Taurtis," the Yakuza guy said. "You interest me. Do you know who I am?"

"You are a leader of some sort of gang?"

"I'm am the leader of a business. The Yakuza. We do tests and we are very scientific. Like your friend J. You are going to be part of our new test."

"What if I don't want to?"

"You will." He gave me a cold stare. It made my insides twist and made me hold in my breath. When he stopped, I let out a breath.

"What do I do-sir?" I asked, half-scared.

"I cannot tell you everything. But first, choose which girl you like better, Taurtis." He gestured to Yuki and Chan standing beside each other, looking at me, holding bloody knives. I stopped. My everything stopped. I felt like I couldn't breathe, move, or think.

"Choose," I could feel the Yakuza guy's hot breath on the back of my neck.

"Uh-" I said. "I-I choose..."

~A/N: hahaha! CLIFFHANGER! I wanted to pull a Rick Riordon with this one. (Does anyone know who he is? Does anyone get that?)~
