Chapter 31: Sam: Aftermath

~A/N: I bring you this chapter sadly today. Why? Because of Undertale. Yes, it's my favorite game, but the ending for both the pacifist and genocide routes are sad. ... I just need to see the neutral ending now. Anyways, here's your chapter~

I woke up in a bed. I looked around. I was in a hospital. My arms and legs ached. My head throbbed. My everything hurt.

I heard a door open. I moved my head around to see Chrissy standing at the door to the room. Her mouth was ajar.

"Sam..." she said. "Thank. Gosh." She rushed over to me and hugged me tight.

"Chrissy..." I moaned. "Still sore..."

"Oh yeah." She let go. "Sorry."

I looked into her eyes and saw they were red.

"What's wrong?" I asked hoarsely.

"N-Nothing," she said. "You'll know later."

"Are Taurtis and Grian okay? Did he hurt them?" I paused. "Did I hurt them...?"

"No, they're fine. And it wasn't you. It was him. Don't blame yourself for anything that happened?"

"But what did happen? All I remember is darkness...then you, and you kissed me, then he went away, and then...I don't know what happened."

"Well..."

She explained to me the most of it. I got angry when Insanity taunted her, and shocked when Yuki stabbed Chan.

"Is Chan okay?" I asked after she finished. Chrissy didn't answer.

"Chrissy?"

"No..." she said finally. "The stab wound was in her heart. It was fatal. She...died." Her eyes started to well up with tears.

"Chrissy, I didn't mean to bring it up. I'm sorry-"

"No, it's okay. It's just, Taurtis, he..."

"Oh."

"Yeah. He's not taking it too well."

"Anything else that happened?"

"Well, today's Chan's and the others funeral."

"The...others?" I was scared. What did Insanity do?

"Paul Blart, Rowan, Sookie and Soul," Chrissy said.

"What?!"

"Yeah. Yuki killed Paul Blart, Insnaity killed Rowan and Sookie, and Soul killed herself after Sookie died." (A/N: well, this just got dark (; )

There was a pause between us. Then Chrissy said, "You're supposed to leave today. Actually, it was right about now. I don't think you'll be able to walk. I can carry you out-?"

"Do you think you'll be able to do that?" I asked. "I mean-"

"I think I can manage it. You seem light enough." We laughed a bit. Then, Chrissy actually picked me up off the bed. I tried my best not to be too heavy, but I didn't think that was possible.

Chrissy walked out of the open door and down the hall. She walked right out the front door.

"Don't worry," she said, noticing my expression. "We can get to Chan's house quickly."

Then she carried me there. I looked around as we passed by everything. The sky seemed more grey than usual, and there was no one on the streets. All the shops and restaurants were closed. When we passed by the school, I saw a lot of people gathered at the front, and I guessed that they were getting ready for the funeral.

Like Chrissy predicted, we mad it to Chan's house soon. The door opened as soon as we got there. Grian had opened the door.

"Chrissy, Sam," he said. "Come in. Hurry."

Chrissy nodded like she knew something I didn't, and entered the house. She walked over to the couch and set me down. Then she turned to Grian.

"How's Taurtis?" she asked. The tone of her voice said that she already knew the answer, but wanted to ask anyway.

"He said he'd come to the funeral," Grian replied. "Other than that, he's the same."

"Oh, okay."

There was a pause for a moment. Then I decided to break the silence, saying, "So..."

"So what?" Grian asked.

"What're we gonna do now?"

"I guess...get ready for the funeral," Chrissy said. "All you guy's stuff is still here. Get dressed. It starts in an hour. I'll go talk to Taurtis." Then she left the room. It was just me and Grain.

"So, uh, I can't...walk..." I said awkwardly.

"Um, yeah...I'll help you up," Grian said. He helped me get off the couch, and we headed into the next room.

~A/N: hehehe. Hate me yet?~
