Today was the real start to summer- the day when the weatherman announced that summer had officially began. I was sitting on the tan, leather couch in the living room. I could hear Katelyn's music playing from her room upstairs, since she had left her door open. She was blasting some sad "romantic" song by one of her favorite bands. The bass was killing me as it practically shook the whole house as it came from her surround sound system. I swear mom and dad should regret getting her that.

"Hey Storm?" I heard her voice coming down the stairs and I rolled my eyes... pretty much thinking along the lines of: why the heck did you leave the darn music blasting?

"Storm?!" I sighed and got a little aggressive as I threw the remote on the couch and went over to the stairs where I saw her standing, one foot tapping a rhythm on the top stair and her arms crossed in frustration.

"What the heck do you want, Kat?" By now I was slightly annoyed as I watched her look at me like I was the problem. I was also annoyed by her interrupting my thoughts so rudely.

"Can you get me a Pepsi?" I raised a brow at her in all seriousness as she smiled sweetly.

"No. Not until you turn off your music and don't bother me for the rest of the day. And I'll bring it to right here," I pointed to where my feet were standing right at the bottom of the stairs, "you'll have to come down the stairs to get it." She huffed and rolled her eyes as I thought of how dramatic she is but I laughed at her slightly. She was a drama kid in general, and she's been in plays and everything. I have to say her fame came from me as I was one of the best singers the high school had ever had. I sat there and glared right back as Katelyn tapped her foot faster on the wooden floor.

"Fine. My god, you're freaking annoying." She rolled her eyes and started back to her room but giggled quietly.

"Hey, Katelyn?" I yelled after her and her footsteps stopped.

"Yeah?"

"Who the hell said you weren't "freaking annoying?" I smirked when I heard her groan and finally the blasting music cut off. I went to the fridge and grabbed a Pepsi like she ask and took it to the stairs as she made her way down.

"... thanks sis." She all of a sudden hugged me, putting her arms tight around my waist, and I put my arms around her shoulders.

"Know that I love you, okay?" I smiled at her words as she pulled back to look at me. I did know that she loved me. She was a teenager; she just had an odd way of showing love, but I did know she loved me.

"Alright, now go back to whatever you were doing." Kate smiled ever so slightly and nodded. I decided that today was the day I would check off my first thing on my bucket list.

And to do that, I had to be heroic and.... "romantic". Even though my idea isn't exactly romantic, it's definitely heroic.

Kate had actually come up with the idea. She had heard from Grant's older sister that he spends most his time atop their home's roof. So Kate said that just as the stars come out, climb atop his roof (I still don't know how I'm going to do that) and ask him out. Well, ask him to help with my bucket list and then proceed to show him that I have to ask him out.

So when the sun set, I got ready. I dressed in my most "formal" outfit that I had. A white lacy and fluffy blouse and ripped black skinny jeans. Yeah... I'm not usually formal. With that, I grabbed my black flats and put my long blonde hair in a quick bun. It looked like I had tried to do one of those messy buns, that sometimes take forever and yet I can master it in seconds.

I put on mascara and highlighter, and I looked on my mirror on my dresser in my bedroom. There sat my bucket list that consisted of scribbles written down in numerical order on a torn yellow page. I smiled and grabbed it on my way out of my room.

"Katelyn?" I yelled for my sister since mom and dad aren't home yet.

"Yeah?!" She yelled back from her room as I could hear her opening her squeaky door.

"I'm leaving now, wish me luck that I don't fall trying to get up there." I heard a giggle and a smile was on my face as she said a goodbye and a good luck behind me.

Surprisingly, the whole school had known where Grant lived. That was mainly because he had so many parties in Senior year that if you didn't know Grant's address, it was because you must've drank too much at the party and couldn't remember anything from the past week. Which I mean, could happen from what I've heard from people who went to his parties.

I decided to walk there since we surprisingly lived in the same neighborhood. Plus I didn't want them to be alerted to my presence, though Laci (Grant's Sister) did know I would be there.

When I got to his house it was already dark and I found a perfect way to get up. A ladder, easy right?

Ha... not really. Especially because I was trying not to make any noise, but I made it up. Once I was there, I thankfully saw Grant laying there. Both arms were above his head, his eyes closed, well that was until he heard my footsteps coming towards him. Finally that's when he jumped up and backed away, his eyes wide with fear. I almost laughed at the thought of him being scared of me.

"Um.... hi?" He spoke gently. I'm guessing he was freaked out but not because he was scared of me. Mainly because he had, in fact, seen me before.

"Storm, isn't it?" I smiled ever so slightly and nodded.

"Um... I'm here for a reason. I have a... favor to ask of you..." He looked confused but nodded.

"I mean considering you climbed all the way up here to talk to me, be my guest..." He then smiled - that smile that seems so real but could be fake. His white teeth shined in the moonlight then slowly subsided back into the darkness.

"I need your help," I pulled my List out from the back pocket of my jeans, "With this." I didn't hand my bucket list to him, but I held it up to where he could vaguely see the words.

"It's a Bucket List? Aren't those supposed to be when your about to die or somethin'?" I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, but I want a change in lifestyle. I want to be wild this summer and for the rest of my life. Have a little fun, if you know what I mean? I know you probably know a lot about fun. And now, to check the first thing off..." I smiled at him and took a deep breath. Grant raised one of his perfect eyebrows at me.

"Grant Green, will you go on a date with me?"
