Chapter 4: Harp's not the bad guy
"Cecilia! You're okay!" Janet yelled. She rushed over and pulled me into a bear hug. James and Harp stared blankly at each other.
"I'm hungry Janet. And you squeezing my waist isn't helping that," I grumbled.
"Sorry Cecilia. I'm just so happy you're okay.," Janet said putting me down.
"Your hungry?" Harp asked.
I nodded.
"Wait right here," he said as he flew off. I saw a guy with a cart full of fresh fruits in the direction that Harp was headed.
"Let's go," James said quickly as transformed into his Werewolf form.
"No," I said.
"But lady Cecilia?! He's just a stupid Harpy!" James yelled.
"He is not!" I yelled.
"Why'd he kidnap you anyway?" Janet asked.
"Orders from his witch of a mom," I growled.
"Cecilia? You okay?" Harp asked as he landed next to me. I smiled at him.
"I'm okay. Just hungry," I said.
"Then here. I got some peaches from the fruit seller," Harp said with a big smile on his face. I grabbed a peach tore into it.
"Woah! You were hungry!" Harp said shocked.
I nodded and took another huge bite.
"Hey slow down. You'll get sick if you eat too fast," Harp said.
"She won't slow down. That's how she eats," James said.
"But she'll get..." Harp started.
"Okay. I'll slow down," I said happily. I took another peach. That one I decided to eat much slower than I did the first. James just stared. James jaw dropped, which made Janet laugh.
Later that night, after everyone had eaten, I fell asleep in Harp's arms. I felt him lay down and hold me close. I felt all warm and fuzzy inside.
'Is this love?' I thought to myself.
For the first time in my whole life, I felt like I had someone I wanted to be with and protect forever. I snuggled up against Harp's warm and strong muscular chest. I felt safer than I had ever felt before. I wanted to stay there forever.
In the morning, I found Harp carrying me in his arms. I looked up at the sky, then at my watch. I gasped. 12:35 pm! I couldn't believe it. No wonder Harp was carrying my. It was past lunch time.
"Cecilia's up!" Harp called to the others.
"Great! Let's stop here for lunch. Cecilia? You hungry?" Janet asked.
I nodded.
"Okay," Janet said with a big smile on her face.
James mumbled something. I couldn't hear what it was. He didn't seem happy about the fact Harp was with us. I didn't like that James and Harp weren't getting along.
"Harp not the bad guy you know! So please stop treating him like one, James!" I yelled.
Everyone stared at me.
