BOIIIIII
"KATELYN!" Sabrina yelled out as she fell to the ground.
Amelia quickly ran over to the fallen ghost and noticed her light and hitched breathing.
"We need to get to Jin now." AK spoke as he picked up the white figure.
Amelia, Ryan, Sabrina, Maya, Nick, and Shark followed AK while Ghetto, Sky, and Jess continued to weep.
Later In Ze~Week.....
Jin concluded it was like the virus, but different.
It behaved differently and attacks much, much different than the original outbreak virus. When he had taken blood samples from everyone-including a somewhat purified version of Katelyn's-and added the virus to it, almost all the blood cells were destroyed within a matter of minutes. Only Ghetto's, Katelyn's, and Maya's blood didn't die immediately. On the contrary, they put up a great fight and almost beat the new virus.
Maya had a hard time believing that Jin had been describing her blood.
"No." Maya denied every time. "You must have gotten it confused."
"I'm afraid not Maya." Jin sighed as Maya walked over to the little private area given for Katelyn to recover and hopefully wake up.
Maya had this become a bit of a habit.
"Hey Kate." She said.
But she knew the ghost wouldn't respond.
"We have Barney's funeral in a few minutes. Jin also found that our blood and Ghetto's can fight this new virus but not sure when you'll wake up. Jin's coming to find me in the next few minutes with an estimate time of your awakening. Nick and everyone but Amelia, Ryan, and Jin have told me stories of you. Ghetto told me the story of when you punched him for knocking someone off a roof. Jess and Sabrina told me stories of you three, repeating the story of when you fell out of a tree into some bushes and walked it off like nothing happened. Sky told me the story of how you jumpscared him by jumping down from a tree into his face. AK told me stories of when you both were in the army, you seemed very brave. Shark would tell that you got angry at him once. I believe it was over who was gonna cook that night." Maya giggled, recounting the memories that the other's shared with her. "But Nick didn't have any stories. He told me that he met you not long after him and Ghetto met AK."
Maya looked at the ground, wondering if anyone else came here to vent. She didn't care if Kate wasn't listening, it was nice to have someone to vent to, even if they are practically in a coma.
Jin then stepped into the room, causing Maya to swiftly turn towards him.
"Two things." He began. "The others are starting the funeral."
"And?" Maya asked patiently.
"And what?" Jin asked, confused.
"And what's the second thing?" Maya asked, a little less patient.
"I'll tell you after the funeral, when everyone is down here." Jin explained.
Nodding, Maya stood up and spoke a quiet good-bye to the ghost.
An unnoticed smile crept up on the pale girl.
It was silent for a while, until Nick spoke up.
"Anyone want to say a few words?"
No words were spoken, just Jess sobbing.
“Barney was a great person. I didn’t know him long but I hope he is in a better place now.” Sabrina started crying.
Sabrina looked around, looking for a flower to place on his grave.
“Barney was, he was a really good friend and I may not have known him as long as you Sky but he was really a good person. I’m going to miss him.” Nick spoke, putting down Barney’s crossbow on the grave, Amelia standing next to him in support.
"I'm gonna miss the guy." Sabrina sniffled.
“Barney, my best friend, we went through so much together. I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry I left you behind. It’s my fault.” Sky cried out.
“It wasn’t your fault.” Maya walked up to Sky, hugging him.
“It is!" He yelled back, launching Maya away. "I left him behind with that maniac!”
“We all trusted Ross, we had no idea that he was going to do this. Ghetto even drank his formula.” Nick spoke, trying to talk sense into his new friend.
“We trusted him.” Ghetto pat Sky’s shoulder. “It wasn’t something we could control.”
“We didn’t know.” Sabrina spoke, being the one that hugged him this time around.
However, he returned the hug, unlike with Maya.
“I didn’t know Barney that much but, we’re going to get revenge. You can count on that. There’s no way we’re going to let Ross slide.” AK responded, frustrated.
“We should go after him.” Sky stared intensely at the group but the words left as a soft whisper.
“I agree with AK, there’s no way we can just let this, horrible act, go.” Shark agreed, looking over at AK.
“We should go after him, now.” Sky spoke a bit louder this time.
“Look, we’ve been down this road before ,Sky. We’ve lost people we care about and if we go after him, how knows where he is and how many people he has or even-“ Nick looked at the sunglass man, trying to reason with him.
“It doesn’t matter!” Sky yelled back, more tears.
“Sky, Nick is right. What if what happens to Barney and Katelyn, happens to us? We can’t let that happen again.” Sabrina shook her head, finally realising that they were still hugging and let go.
“He wouldn’t want us to go after Ross and risk our lives-“ Nick tried to explain.
“He killed him!” Sky interrupted angrily.
“And we’ll get our revenge-“ Sabrina spoke soothingly, trying reached out to him.
“He turned him into a walker! That’s worse than death!" Sky pointed out, yelling in the process. "Katelyn almost turned and now she's in a coma!”
"Sky!" Maya yelled out, tears escaping her eyes.
“The only solace is,” Nick paused.
“And then he made me finish the job!” Sky yelled, slightly interrupting.
“At least he isn’t suffering.” Nick continued his statement in a calm manner.
“How do we know he wasn’t suffering before!” Sky argued further.
“It’s over now, and that's what matters.” Amelia spoke up, softly and carefully.
“He was my best friend.” Sky looked at his shoes, then the grave.
“Look, Sky, I promise you that everyone here wants revenge too and we will not stop until we get Ross but this isn’t the way to do this. We have to be smart. Ghetto is sick and with Katelyn in a coma-like state, we don’t have any supplies. It would be a suicide mission to go right now. Especially not knowing where he went and the kind of traps he’s laid. We need to gather our resources and figure out if doctor Jin can help us and then we can go after him.” Sabrina tried to reason.
“How do we know doctor Jin will?! He killed him, he’s gone Nick." Sky paused, tears lined his face. "Jess, Sabri, come with me! We can take him out together.” Sky pleaded, looking over at Jess with such eyes looking through his glasses.
“What if we all go together? We have to stay with everyone.” Jess paused. “Barney would want us to stay together after all that time looking for Nick.”
Sabrina nodded, smiled, and pulled his hand into hers.
“He wanted to find Nick, he wanted to find everyone and wanted us to be together. He would want us to be together now. Right?” Sabrina asked, continuing Jess's earlier statement.
“Yes but he wouldn’t have wanted this.” Sky cried into Sabrina's shoulder.
“Sky, I promise you that if you stay with the group and take care of yourself, it’s going to work out better in the end. We will get our revenge, no one here is going to let what Ross did. That’s not going to happen.” Sabrina promised, whispering in the weeping boy's ears.
“We better kill him.” Sky spoke coldly and bitterly, his voice cracking while just barely being above a whisper.
"We better go after him. When. When will we go after him? When are we going to saddle up and go?”
“Soon, we have to figure out what’s with doctor Jin and if he can make more formula for Ghetto and see what he can do about waking Katelyn. Let’s go see what he’s up to now.” Sabrina whispered, carefully and softly.
=D
I think I did okay for this XD
