Aarav's Room

Manvi was sitting on the bed and fuming in anger. Nitya walks inside and says "mannu kyu itna gussa kar rahi hai Aaru pe?"

"Di please... uski side mat lena aap ab! Mujhe follow kar raha tha.. Kya khaya maine wo bhi usko pata hai..." she said shockingly.

Nitya sits down beside her and said "usne mujhe phone kiya tha.. Ye puchne ke liye jo tune order kiya wo sahi hai ya nahi"

"Are toh mujhe nahi pata kya?? He ruined my date.. Usko maarne pe tul aaya wo" she complained and told after that he took her to Aditi's house.

Nitya smiled and a tear escaped down her eyes. Manvi glanced at her and said in calmed tone "Di... aapki aankh mein aansu?"

"Mannu.. Tujhe ye sab ajeeb lag raha hai over protectiveness lag rahi hai lekin ye Aarav ki care hai.. Tere liye aur bache ke liye" She said.

"Di.. aap dono se bhi zyada..." Manvi spoke.

Nitya held her hand and said "karega.. Uski bhi wajah hai! Kyuki mera miscarriage uski wajah se hua tha"

Manvi was shocked to hear her "kya??"

"Aisa usko lagta hai..." She replies and the moment she thought about the biggest pain of her life tears escaped down her eyes. Manvi held her hand and squeezed it lightly assuring her she is with her.

Niyta smiles light and said "par aisa nahi tha.. Uss din main aur Aniket baby ka room decorate kar rahe they! Achanak Aaru ne mujhe awaaz lagayi..."

Nitya recalls the day....

Nitya and Aniket were in the room and Aarav had called Nitya for something. Aniket was annoyed "ye ladka na jab dekho kabab mein haddi banta hai..."

Niya shot a deadly glare at him and hits on his arm lightly "don't you dare speak anything about my Aaru.."

"Haa haa thik hai jaake dekho apne laadle ko" He said.

Nitya smiles and pulls his cheek "Abhi toh ek aur aa jayega phir toh tumhe bilkul bhi waqt nahi dungi main" she replies teasingly.

"Acha aisa kya?? Koi baat nahi hai main aur baby dono saath mein aisi masti karenge ki tumhe hum dono saath mein sambhalna padega" He said and Nitya smiles hearing him.

Aarav shouted a loud "bhai.. Kam se kam iss haal mein toh bhabhi Maa ko chod do! Bacha nahi toh bigad jayega"

Aniket made a face, Nitya walks out of the room while Aniket arranges the remaining things into the room.

Nitya came out and stood in the corridor, she glances down and asked "kya hua Aaru??"

"Bhabhi Maa aapka 7th month aane waala hai toh baby shower ki tayari karni hai aap jaldi se aake mujhe batao kaunsa theme rakhna hai" he said with excitment. He sits down on the couch and begins to work on the laptop. He was so engaged in searching for some decorations ideas for baby showers that didn't realize the chandelier right on top of him was sliding downwards.

Nitya slowly takes the steps downstairs and she notices the sound of the chandelier. She looks up and gets shocked to see it about to fall on top of him. She takes fast steps and shouts "Aaru..." and ends up missing the step. Aarav gets up and runs to her but it was too late. She had dropped to the floor and Aniket had heard her scream.

Aarav gets stunned when the chandelier falls right on the couch where he was sitting. Aniket runs downstairs and gets stunned to see her winching in pain holding her belly.

Aarav was beside her keeping her head on his lap and tears brims down his eyes "bhabhi maa... bhabhi maa.. Bhaiya.."

Aniket eyed the chandelier and a sigh escaped down his mouth. He lifts up Nitya his arms and walks out of the house taking her to the hospital. Kaushalya and Aarav go behind them into another car.

Aniket was speeding off towards the house and simultaneously eyed at Nitya. He held her hand and said "Nitu.. kuch nahi hoga hum bas pahuch gaye hospital"

Within 20 minutes, he halts the car in front of the hospital. He takes her out of the car and carries her into the hospital corridor. He places her on the stretcher and shouts for the doctor.

A lady doctor comes and sees Nitya winching in pain. She questions "ye kaise??"

"Seedhiyon se gir gayi" he said in a trembling voice.

"Foran OT leke chalo" she instructed the nurse and Nitya was taken to the OT. Aarav and Kaushalya came in about 5 minutes later. Aarav saw Aniket standing in the OT, he was filled with mixed emotions and wondered what could be happening inside. 

Aniket saw Aarav and wiped tears from his eyes. He moved towards him and kept his hand on his shoulder. He eyed him with extreme guilt, he brought his "bhabhi Maa" and the child at risk of losing. "Bhai... bhabhi maa aur bache ko kuch ho gaya toh main khudko maaf nahi kar paaunga..." he said.

Aniket pulls him into his embrace and ruffles his hair "Aaru.. kuch nahi hoga dono ko!"

Kaushalya closed her eyes and prayed for the safety of the child and Nitya. Three hours passed by and the moment they had been waiting for ended. The red blub turned off and the door of the theatre opened. The doctor comes out, Aniket walked to her and asked with curiosity "Doctor.. Meri wife or bacha?"

"Aapki patni khatre se bahar hai lekin I am sorry she had miscarriage!" the doctor spoke.

Aniket was left dumbstruck hearing her, his fear came true and they lost the biggest happiness of their life.

The doctor seemed to be tenser, Aniket asked "doctor.. Kuch aur bhi baat hai?"

"Wo abhi kabhi maa nahi ban payegi!" the doctor said in a serious tone.

"Doc... aap janti ho kya kah rahi ho aap?" he asked for reassurance.

"Please sambhalyie khudko.. " she just patted his shoulder and left from there.

A tear escaped down his eyes, he was losing himself but composed. He eyed Aarav had been crying immensely by now. Kaushalya said "kitni baar kaha tha maine sambhalke rahe lekin sunti kaha hai meri.. Ho gaya na kalaish.. Ek toh itne saal baad bacha aane waala tha aur ye..."

Aniket sighed deeply and said "laparwah nahi hai Nitya maa.. Aaru ko bachane ke liye bhaagi thi wo! Wo nahi toh Aaru hota hospital mein.." he takes stands for Nitya.

"Wo sahi hota bhai! Kam se kam bhabhi Maa se Maa banne ka haq nahi chinta.." Aarav utters.

Aniket moves to him and cupped his face "Aaru... teri galti nahi hai.."

"Meri galti hai bhai... na main unhe neeche bulata aur na wo dekhti meri umar jhumar girne waala hai aur na wo daudti.. I killed her child.. I killed her child" he cries, Aniket tries to console him but it went in vain. He runs out of the hospital and Aniket sighed in disappointment.

Later on, Nitya was shifted to the normal ward. Aniket enters inside and saw her already awake. She was sitting up resting her back on the pillow, she had placed her hand on her belly and tears were brimming down her eyes.

Aniket took baby steps towards her, he stood beside her and caressed her head. He was in pain like her but her pain was deeper because she had already begun the journey of motherhood the moment the child was in her womb. She looked up at him recalled by morning they had been decorating the room for the baby and now he is gone forever.

"Mera bacha... Ani.." she uttered in a trembling voice. He pulls her into his embrace and she cries out loud. He was in tears too but they didn't have anything else than shading tears over the sorrow.

They remained in the hug for about an hour, Nitya parted away and looked around. She didn't find Kaushalya or Aarav with her. She excepted Kaushalya's absence but not Aarav's. She eyed him and asked "Aaru?? Wo thik hai na??"

"Tu...mhare saath jo hua uska zimmedar khudko maan raha hai.. Isliye chala gaya hospital se" he reveals.

Nitya closes her eyes for a moment and lets her tears brim down her eyes. 

The next day, Nitya was giving discharged and Aniket took her home. Kaushalya was in much anger, she confronted Nitya but Aniket stops her "Maa... abhi abhi usne apna bacha khoya hai.. Kamsekam shukriya ada kardo iska aapki santaan zinda hai sahi salamat hai"

Kaushalya gave him a look... "tujhe awaaz de sakti thi.. Wahi se Aarav chilla deti lekin nahi daud padi... laparwahi ki hadh hoti hai! Pehle ye ladki mujhe bilkul pasand nahi thi aur ab toh kabhi maa bhi nahi ban payegi! Zindagi barbar karli tune apni Ani" she said hatefully.

Nitya was worried about Aarav, she began to search for him but couldn't find him anywhere. She picks up her phone and calls him but it was switched off. She was extremely stressed and ends up losing consciousness. Aniket grabs her, lifts her up in his arms, and takes her into the room.
