SIXTEEN
The group was all at practice and Namjoon and Yoongi were locked up in Yoongi's studio. The start of their tour was coming closer by the day, and they wanted to be sure they were ready. I wasn't exactly sure what Jin was doing, but I knew he was in the penthouse somewhere.
I got up early, showered and dressed before I made my way to the kitchen, where I could smell delicious food.
"Good morning." I smiled to Jin.
"Good morning to you too, Noona. Hungry?"
"Yes!" I replied sitting at the table that is usually packed with hungry men.
"I got a lot here, because we have a long day ahead of us."
"We do?"
"Yes." He said, stirring up a whatever food he made. "Today we have to go to the main office and go over the tour schedule, what vehicle you will be in and what flight, as well as who your body guards will be."
"I get to leave the apartment?"
He laughed bringing over the bowls, placing one in front of me. "You do." He smiled.
"I have never been so excited to go outside." I giggled.
"We have about an hour before the car gets here, and there are going to be a few escorts to get us in and out. I don't want you to be afraid okay. They take very good care of us."
"Scared?" I asked, taking a bite.
"Well, yes, there are still a lot of fans and those who photograph everything loitering around out there. It can be intimidating."
"Okay." I nodded, now suddenly a little anxious. But really, I needed to get used to it so today is a good day to start. Not to mention if something were to every solidify with Hoseok and I, I would really need to not let it bother me.
Which reminded me of why I wanted to talk to Jin one on one to begin with.
"You okay?" Jin asked. "I didn't mean to make you nervous."
"Oh, no it's not that." I said finishing the bite I had.
"Oh? Something else on your mind?"
"Kind of." I said, setting down my utinsils and whipping my hands off on the napkin. "I was hoping to trust in something with you."
"Of course."
"You can tell anyone. None of the members, or Namjoon or anyone really."
"Well is endangering one of my staff?" He asked.
"No."
"Then I wont say a word. Spill. Are you having second thoughts about gong on tour?"
"No!" I exclaimed. "No, not that at all. I'm actually very excited about it."
"Good." He smiled. "Then what's going on?"
"Its about Hoseok." I simply replied. I watched as the corners of Jin's lips turned up, and then his mouth opened in a wide smile.
"What about Hoseok?" He asked, not able to contain his very clear joy of the subject change.
"Well, we have slept together a few times." As I spoke Jin's eyes grew wide, but the smile still remained. "And we talked and we don't want to just fool around, we kinda want to see if anything develops into, you know, romance."
"Okay." He nodded still smiling.
"Why do you look like that?!" I asked, laughing. It made him break out into giggles as well as he did a little dance in his seat.
"I'm just so excited. I felt the connection between the two of you from day one. Then when Taemin called Jimin on the weekend Hoseok was supposed to leave, everything fell into place magically. I swear divine timing is real and the universe wanted you two to spend time alone together."
I laughed. "I don't know about all that, but I just think I need a friend to talk to about this stuff. And Hoseok has Yoongi if he needed to talk about it so I thou-"
"Yoongi knows?!"
Oh shit.
"Well he kind of...caught us." Jin then laughed again, and I just sat there feeling silly. "Not like, in the act!" I added now wondering if I wasn't clear. "He just knew what we were doing, and promised not to say anything. I'm surprised you didn't know."
"Oh no. Yoongi is very close with Hoseok. If he said he'd keep it to himself, he means it."
"Well I'm glad to hear that." I said, as Jin started to calm a bit. "So I just need a friend. And Jimin cant know!"
"Why?"
"If you know Jimin as well as you think you do, then I don't have to answer that question for you." I said.
"That's true, I do see Jimin making a scene about this."
"Especailly after that conversation about how idols dating normal people. I couldn't believe he was being so cold about the topic."
"Well, you're not exactly normal right now are you. You are celebrity by association, and if things develop between you and Hoseok and the public find out, you will be even more in their eyes."
I sighed. "Jin, we aren't even there yet. We are just...getting to know one another at this point."
"Which is a god idea. And perfect circumstances for it. But you're not going to say anything about it?"
"We agreed to tell Jimin, and anyone else once it actually develops into something. Right now, we just make out a lot and have sex."
He grinned again leaning a little closer to me. "How's the sex?"
"So good." I laughed, making him laugh along with me. "I mean I've had good sex before, but Hoseok makes it exciting, and really knows how to work me up."
"Good." He said. "I don't want to hear bullshit about him being bad in bed, not worth it."
"Jin!" I scolded.
"I'm just saying." He shrugged.
I laughed again, and let out another sigh. "I'm not being stupid in doing this am I?"
Jin's face turned serious, and he reached over and grabbed my arm that was on the table. "Not at all. Idols deserve love and so do siblings of those idols. You and Hoseok seeing where things could go is not a bad idea at all. Especially if you keep it quite until you know. That way, if for some reason it doesn't work out, you can keep it private, and then if it does you can share with those you love."
"Hoseok feels really bad about keeping it from Jimin. I feel like I should feel bad too, but I know what Jimin is like, and I know his attitude about this, not to mention how overly protective he gets about me. I just don't want to bother telling him if there ends up being nothing to tell."
"And that is your prerogative. You both have a right to this decision."
I nodded. "Thank you. I needed some support with that, and I knew I could trust you."
"Of course, you can, bestie." He smiled, pulling his hand from my arm. "Now, is there anything else? The car will be here soon, and you need to change into something you want to be photographed in."
"Oh, shit that's right." I said. I look down and scarfed down the rest of what was in my bowl, my eyes watering with the spiciness of it. "Give me like, 10 minutes." I said, walking back toward the room I was staying in.
Something I wanted to be photographed in?
I found a sundress that had sunflowers on it. It was all white and scattered in the flowers, and thin straps. I decided to wear it with a jean vest, giving off some 90's vibes.
I grabbed a new pair of sandals, yellow straps to match the dress and grabbed my phone and wallet. I stuffed the small wallet in my pocket as well as my phone in the other, securing them both with a button that conveniently laid there.
When I came back out into the living room, Jin was wearing all black. Black dress pants, black long sleave sweater and black shoes.
"Uhh...should I change again?"
He laughed, handing me a face mask. "No. You look great; I just usually wear black coming and going to mesh in with all the rest of the body guards."
"And you don't think I should do the same?"
"No." he shook his head. "I think this is perfect. It is simple and not overboard but not obviously trying to fly under the radar. Sometimes it's good to not try to be hidden."
I nodded, and Jin answered a phone call, before looking over to me. "Do you have your ID on you?"
"Yeah." I said patting the pocket my wallet was in.
"Okay good, we will have to make a copy for your file as well as get you a few ID badges for coming and going into the building." He then turned back to his phone call.
Once he was done he asked if I was ready, and I said I was but I don't think I was truly ready for the chaos that was waiting outside the front door.
Jin asked me to go out first, and when I did I felt blinded by cameras flashing and bombarded with all sorts of questions from those behind the cameras. A man in all black took me gently by the arm and guided me down the stairs. There was another man to the front of me and to the side, and I assumed one behind Jin.
I couldn't even make out the questions that were being asked of me. Something about being his sister, visiting, and their upcoming tour, but full sentences were not able to be made out. It felt like slow motion before final got to the big SUV that was waiting for us. The same guy who was holding on to me, his face was covered, but he helped me get inside comfortably, Jin climbing in behind me.
"Wow!" I said once the door was shut.
"I told you."
"I thought you said when you are alone they leave you alone."
"Well I'm not alone am i?"
"But I'm not an idol."
"But you are a beloved idols' sister, of one of the most popular groups in the world right now. You're big news. Jungkook's brother keeps to himself, and Taehyung's siblings are so young they aren't recognizable yet, and Hoseok's sister has her own stuff. So you are the hot new button. For now, you and your story, and your relationship with Jimin is going to be the talk of the town."
"People need to get lives."
He laughed at that. "The fans just care a lot. You have some crazy ones, but for the most part they are just happy that the members are happy."
"I guess that's true. With all the comments I read of the selfie Jimin posted, most of them were really positive and the rest were just...weird and possessive."
"That's how it goes."
It didn't take too long to get to their main studio and office building. I know that down one hallway was the practice studios and the music booths, but I had yet got down the hallway that Jin was leading me down. Several of the body guards that were there when we got into the vehicles were now following us as he made our way down several hallways.
"Eventually, you will be able to find this office on your own, but you wont have to try for some time."
We then walked into a very large office space where there desks were set up next to each other. There was a woman in one and a man in another while the last one was empty.
"Seokjin!" the woman greeted warmly. She then gasped as she saw me, her smile becoming even more welcoming. "And you must be Jimin's sister!"
"I am." I smiled back, giving her a polite bow.
"We are so very excited that you are here. Jimin has been thriving even more than usual and we know its because you are here."
"I'm glad to hear that."
"Come, sit, sit." She said, as I looked over to the older gentleman. He was on the phone still but gave me a wave in greeting before I focused more on the woman in front of me.
"I am UNITES travel concierge and work very closely with Mr. Kim here. I hear we need to get you on our flight and a passport."
"I have a passport." I said then looked at Jin. "I would have brought it with me."
"No, you need a specific one for the tour we are going on." He explained. "Will you get out your ID?"
There ended up being a lot of paperwork to do that day, so I was glad I wore something so comfortable. They took my picture as well, making me 3 different ID passes. One I wouldn't get until the tour, but one was to get in and out of the building, and one was to gain access to certain areas of the building, like the dance studios.
They even did a criminal background check on me to have on file to get all the access that I got.
It was a few hours before we were done, and I was a little tired.
"Last thing." She started before standing. "This is Wonho, he is going to be your personal body guard."
I turned to see Wonho was the same guy who helped me through the sea of people into the SUV earlier.
"Oh good, he helped me earlier." I laughed, making him smile. I shook his hand. "It's very nice to officially meet you."
"You as well." He said bowing at the same time. "If there is ever a time you are uncomfortable with me, please let me know."
"Why would I be uncomfortable with you?" I asked.
"Noona he is basically going to be following you everywhere while we are on tour. He's going to follow you in to the bathroom, into restaurants, he will be in the vehicles with you. You will need to listen to him while we are traveling. Wonho has been trained on several safety proceedures that you just don't need to worry about. But in case of an emergency, don't worry about anyone else, just follow and listen to Wonho."
"Noted." I said, looking back to Wonho. "I'm not shy, so even if I have to change in front of you it probably wont bother me." I teased, trying to lighten the sudden tension.
I saw his face turn red for a moment, but he nodded and Jin giggled from behind me. "Do you want to go see the guys before we head back? They have about another two hours of practice."
"Sure." I smiled.
"Thank you all again."
As we made our way back out from the office I did have one question. "So when is Wonho on duty?"
"He is specifically for the tour." Jin explained. "He is here now because part of his job is to assist with transportations and security when traveling, but his responsibilities will adjust once we are on tour."
"Got it."
