EIGHTEEN

Perfectly timed, once I was dressed and my hair out of my face in a pony tail, Jimin came out of his room fully dressed with a smile.

"Good Morning." He hugged me. "I'm so excited to go out and about with you."

"Me too, finally." I giggled, hugging him back.

No one else was in the kitchen or living room yet, which allowed us to grab a quick breakfast before we headed out. When we walked outside there was already a car waiting and Wonho and someone else standing by the door.

"I thought we could walk around the aquarium?" Jimin said as he helped me into the SUV.

"I love aquariums!" I cheered, as he followed in after me.

"I know you do." He said. "That's why I'm taking you to one."

"I cant wait!"

"So tell me about what happened with work."

"Oh." I sighed. I should have known he would want an explanation. "Well, I've told you about the guy I worked for before, didn't I?"

"The sleezeball?"

I laughed. "Yeah him. You know he made passes at me, and it was annoying that is for sure, but it didn't really get too bad until the last few months that I was working there. He had scheduled me to go on travel cases with him and 'forgot' to book an extra room. He even refused to pay for an extra room at one point and I ended up having to pay for it, and then write it off on my taxes as a work expense. Then the last few weeks I was there he started to get even more bold and would put his hands on my shoulders, or around my waist. I would always move away form him. But the one time that really did it, was when I went to move and he grabbed my wrist to keep me from moving away from him. Said that he paid me good money and that I should be willing to give him a shot. Well, I quit right then and there. Someone had walked into the office which was the only reason why he even let go of me and I was able to get away. I told his boss about it, but he didn't seem to care. After I quit, I was reached out to by several other women who worked there, and they told me they had also walked out. Luckily not all the men there were complete dicks, and were giving all of them swimming references and recommendation letters."

"But not you?"

"Jimin, I don't have rent, or a mortgage. I don't have a car payment or insurance. All my credit cards are paid off and I don't have student loans because of dad. The only thing I pay for right now is health insurance and my fabulous vacation here with my sweet brother. I saved my money. I'm good for a while."

"Well until Jin convinces you to never leave so his new best friend doesn't leave him."

"You think I'm his new best friend?"

"Absolutely. I think Jin likes you best out of all the guys actually."

Well....yes and no...

"That's really nice. I like him too, he's fun to be around. All of you are." I grinned.

Just then I got a text from Jin confirming my hair appointment before we leave for tour.

"Do you think it was worth it?" He asked.

"Leaving my job? Without a doubt."

"And lying to Dad all those years?"

I sighed and looked over at him. "Dad loved us. Both of us. He just...he's selfish. He never had real fatherly instincts and as we grew he thought that being a dad meant that we did as he said to do. When you rebelled against it he didn't realize it was for passion of an art. I'm not defending him, I'm just saying I understand him."

"Is that a yes?"

"It is." I smiled, taking hold of his hand. "It was all worth it. And it was timed pretty well because he had already paid for all of my stuff up to graduation and I had a house." I shrugged. "I was able to make my mortgage payments and when I sold, I made a butt ton of money off that house. So now, I'm visiting my favorite person."

"And going on tour with us!"

"Oh, I'm excited for that too."

We made small talk for the rest of the car ride, up until we got to the aquarium. Jimin and I both wore ball caps, large face masks, and jackets as we made our way through the back entrance of the aquarium. The staff was great, and I felt like a celebrity myself getting snuck around to exhibit to exhibit. We were even granted access to all the different aquarium demonstrations.

There were a few times were a couple of giggling ladies, different ages alike, would whisper and point at us, suspecting who we could be. But by the time the few hours had passed, we were ready for food. They allowed us a conference room to have our lunch in, and the walls were of fish tanks, large fish tanks.

"This is fun." I smiled to him.

"It is." He smiled back taking out his phone. "Taehyung says hi."

I then took out my phone and saw I had a text from an unknown number.

Unknown Number: Don't flirt with strangers, I'll know if you do.

I looked up to Jimin who was responding to whatever text he had received, making me do the same.

Me: Flirt in front of my brother? Noooooo.

Hope: I'm thinking about you, you know...

Me: Hopefully touching yourself at the same time.

I giggled to myself before locking my phone and putting it away. Let him stew with that for a moment. When I looked back up Jimin had gotten up to take care of our trash before stretching.

"Want to go by the river? We can feed the ducks."

"Yes!" I cried. "But we need to get them bread, not popcorn. Popcorn can make them sick."

We stopped at a store where Wonho actually bought a loaf of bread for us to feed the ducks. It was vacant near the river, only a few people posted up having a get together near a picnic table. Jimin kept his face coverings on but I pulled mine down momentarily.

There were so many different ducks there, that we had to start throwing the bread pieces further away so that more birds had opportunities to get the pieces. Thankfully we felt good about the even distribution until it was all gone. I walked over to the nearby trash bin that was close to the family that was sitting there.

As I approached the bin, a young girl, probably in her teens, approached me.

"Hi!" she smiled, her eyes intense.

"Hello." I greeted back.

"So, are you on a date?" She asked, making me laugh.

"No." I replied. "Just spending some time with my brother."

"Park Jimin?" she asked, suddenly, her friend walking over to us.

My stomach sank and I could feel my heart starting to rapidly beat in my chest. "Huh?" Was all I could manage to get out before her friend screamed.

"OH MY GOD ITS HIS SISTER!" They both clung to me, holding onto my arms, shouting questions that I couldn't even make out. Their grips were so tight that I couldn't pull away. "You have to be, I remember seeing your hair color in the photos online!"

"But that means that he's here." One of them said, turning to look passed me. When she did my eyes followed along and Jimin was already being ushered to a nearby SUV, and Wonho was running towards me.

"Uhh, I have to go."

"No! No stay we want to hang out with you guys! Jimin!" The first one shouted. "Jimin!" she started to walk fastly away from me and towards Jimin her friend letting go of me and following after. Two more body guards showed up blocking their path, and Wonho reached for me and tugged firmly to get me away.

I was being pulled away from the commotion, the family of the girls getting up to see what all the shouting was about.

It was an uneasy feeling of complete and total disregard of personal space and time. Once I was finally thrown into the SUV Jimin was there with an annoyed look on his face.

"Are you okay?" I asked him.

"Are you?" He replied, looking up at me.

"I'm fine." I told him. "But you look really pissed."

"I can't even have a normal day outside with my sister without someone ruining it. Yes, I'm a little pissed."

There is no way that I could ever really know how he feels. And not knowing what to say, I tried anything to lighten the mood.

"Its just another reminder of how successful you are." I smiled. "All the hard work, all the ups and downs were worth it because those girls love you so much that the memorized what your sister looked like." I laughed.

He rolled his eye and huffed out a sigh. "Nice try."

"Well, I mean it." I said, before the passenger car door opened and the other body guard got in. We started to drive away, no one saying much. "Now where are we going?"

"It's pretty late in the day." Jimin said, and then his eyes roamed over my hair. "I wonder if Sonny could come today to get your hair back."

I shrugged, lifting my phone to text Jin only to see the response I got from Hoseok.

Hope: if I wasn't in a room full of my friends I would be. I remember what you feel like, even more so what you taste like.

I got a chill run down my spine reading that, and ignored it momentarily before texting Jin when Sonny could be available.

Turns out is available today, so Jin asked him to come over.

Jimin then asked the driver to take us back to the house, his demeanor still a little low.

"So, you say Jin is going to try to keep me here?" I asked him gaining his attention and distracting him.

"Didn't he say that he was going to try to get you a job?"

"Is that what talking to the CEO means?" I laughed.

He smiled and rolled his eyes. "I wouldn't mind you being around." He said. "I think it would be a good change of pace."

"I agree." I smiled.

The silence overtook us, but comfortably so until we got back home.

Wonho asked me if I was okay, and I thanked him for his concern giving him a hug. Once we were back inside, they left and I could see Hoseok sitting on the couch.

"Hey Hobi." Jimin greeted him. "What are you doing?"

"Jungkook was pushing himself a little too hard so I called practice off. Whats with the hug?" He asked, quickly changing the subject.

"Oh, we had an incident today at the River."

Suddenly Hoseok's expression turned concerned, and he tensed up when he looked at me. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, a girl there recognized me. She and her friend started to freak out when they realized that Jimin and I both were there and the security had to come get me from their clutches!" I giggled out making Jimin roll his eyes.

Hoseok didn't seem fazed by my joke, but looked back and forth between us. "So, you're both okay?"

"Yeah." I answered. "But now I'm waiting for Sonny to get here. They recognized me because of my hair so we need him to put it back."

I sat down next to him as Jimin yawned and took off his cap. "Is Tae here?"

"He's in his room." Hoseok responded.

Without another word Jimin walked toward the other hallway making his way to see Taehyung.

"Are you okay?" Hoseok asked me as soon as the door was shut. His hand found my face, and his thumb strummed against my cheek as his eyes searched my expression.

I took hold of his hand, giving his palm a small kiss. "I'm fine." I said pushing his hand back. "They just kinda had hold of my arms in their excitement. It was a little weird but I think Jimin was more upset by it than I was."

"That isn't surprising."

"It wasn't that big of a deal though." I said now worried.

"To you maybe." He responded. "But to us, those simple things get so easily ruined by fans. Trust me when I say we love the Minties, but there are times we just want to have normal moments with people and can't."

"But isn't that what you all signed up for?" I asked. "I don't mean to be insensitive, but when you're as popular as you are, you expect these things, don't you?"

"We do. But it doesn't mean it affects us any less. We just handle it differently. Like right now, instead of quitting the group, Jimin is probably venting how frustrated he is to Taehyung. That way his feelings about it are not kept inside of him."

"Is it really like that?"

"Yes." He sighed, running his fingertips over my arm. "You'll see eventually."

I hated to think he was right, but perhaps he was. Jimin said this was the specific reason he didn't want me dating an Idol. Todays' incident seemed so minor...could I really handle it?

I couldn't get much thought about it through before Hoseok kissed me quick on the cheek, giving me a winning smile.

"We manage." He told me. "It's good to have a positive can-do attitude. Sometime Jimin just has his moments."

"I understand."

"Did you guys at least have fun before all that happened?"

"Yes!" I told him. "I love aquariums and it was just really nice to talk with Jimin like we used to. He told me a bit more about his solo music he's working on as well as how excited he is for tour. I'm more excited now too if I'm being honest."

"Why's that?"

"Just such a stark difference in what my life used to be. It's will be nice to have some excitement."

He smirked at me, leaning forward and used a very low quiet tone to speak. "I have some excitement too, ya know."

The suggestive words made me giggle softly, and I leaned in giving him a short yet soft kiss to his lips.

"I can only imagine." I teased back.

Just then Hoseok and I jumped away from each other, Jin walking into the living room, Sonny following after him.

Jin gave me a knowing grin, before instructing me to follow Sonny up the stairs.

"Don't get caught." He whispered in my ear, both of us giggling afterwards.
