Saturday morning

Ashton's pov

Yesterday, me Jace and the soldiers were on mission to kill the Italian drug dealer because they stole our last shipment, I got shot on my right leg, that's why I'm currently in Jace's mansion resting. Adriana can't see me like that, so I just told her that I'll be staying at Jace's for a week, it's half the truth, but she doesn't need to know the whole truth now does she?

~Flashback~

I just arrived at the warehouse, Jace was standing outside with the other soldiers waiting for me, I walk towards him and say "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" I say enthusiastically.

"You are too excited for this mission Ash" Jace jokes.

"And so? Is there a problem? They stole our shipment they have to be punished" I say mischievously.

"That's my job punishing" Jace says rolling his eyes.

"As your right-hand man, I should be torturing people too" I huff crossing my arms.

"I'll think about it" Jace says as he jumps out of the car.

When we arrive at the dealing location, Jace gives me a sign to kill the Italian soldier and I do so.

When I shot him the other guards turned to me, our soldiers and the Italian soldiers started to shoot at each other, Jace was looking in front of him shooting at a guy without paying attention to the man standing behind him, I run as fast as I could and shoot the man, we shot each other at the same time, he shot me on the leg and I shot him in the chest.

I fell to the floor, trying to stay awake, but darkness consumes me and the last thing I hear is Jace calling my name.

~End of flashback~

"Do you need anything Ash?" Jace asks as he sits on the bed.

"I really want to tell Adriana everything, but I know that I can't" I say with a sad voice.

"Trust me Ash I want to tell her too, but she would be in a lot of trouble if she was involved in the Mafia business, you know that I care about Adriana, and if other Mafia's find out about this, she would be their main target, they would try to hurt her to get to me, we can't take this risk" Jace says protectively.

"I know you're right" I sigh.

"You should sleep, the more you rest the more you'll heal faster" Jace pats my back leaving the room.

Adriana's pov

Ashton has been acting weird this whole week, I mean he is always weird but now he's weirder, like he's hiding something from me, and something is telling me that what he's hiding has to do with jerk face. I'm going to find out, if they are keeping this away from me, it's probably really important, how do I know? It's because Ashton and I tell each other everything, so if he's hiding something it's definitely not his secret, so he's covering jerk face, I am going to find out what is jerk face's secret, but I have to do it on my own, I can't ask Ashton because I know how loyal he is to his friends, he would never say anything, and he'll go tell jerk face, so I have to do this alone, whatever their secret is it can't be life changing.

I really miss Ashton, he told me that he'll be spending the week at jerk face's house, so the house has been quiet mom is always at work, Kayla will be out of town this week and Sophia's parents are very strict she can't go out whenever she wants, so here I am all alone in the living room watching divergent, this movie is AMAZING, four is so handsome, he is definitely my type, dangerous, muscular, secretive, protective, sexy and smart.

Few hours later, I was laying on the couch looking at the ceiling sighing "where is everyone?" I say to myself.

I take my phone and call Kayla "Hey Adri!" She says through the phone.

"Hey Kay" I sigh.

"What's wrong?" She asks worriedly.

"Nothing, it's just that you're out of town and you're coming back next week, Sophia can't go out and Ashton is staying at jerk face's house, so I'm all alone." I say.

"I'm sorry Adri, what can I do to help?" She answers.

"Well I'd like some company but you're unavailable" I joke.

"I'll make it up to you, besides I'll be back in 2 days, it's Saturday today, I'll be back Monday, I remind you that we have school, and my parents told me 'you can't miss the school Kayla, it's really important, so I'll see you at school" Kayla says as she hangs up.

Great, now I'm really alone.

I should call Maddie, it's been a while since we talked, I really miss her :(

I dial Maddie's number and wait for her to pick up "Hey Maddie!" I yell enthusiastically.

"Adriana!! I missed you!" Maddie yells through the phone.

"So tell me, how are things going on? Do you have a crush? Do you like your new school? What does it look like in Georgia? Are you happy?" I flood her with questions.

"Wow slow down, so yes things are going great, I do like my new school people are very nice, I've made many new friends, Georgia is amazing, I do miss living with you in California but it's not bad here, andIhaveaboyfriend" Maddie rushes the last sentence.

"What was that?" I ask confused.

"I have a boyfriend" She says slower this time.

"YOU WHAT?!" I yell as I sit down on the couch.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, we've been together for 2 weeks now, I haven't told anyone, I wanted to make sure we were serious or if it was just a one nightstand" Maddie says in a sorry tone.

"It's okay Madds I understand" I say happily.

"What about you? Anything new?" She adds.

"Not really, I'm alone right now, Ashton is staying at jerk face's house till Monday, Kayla is out of town and she's coming back Monday, and Sophia's parents are very strict so she can't go out whenever she wants" I sigh.

"I'm sorry to hear that, have you been to the flying biscuit cafe lately?" Maddie asks.

"Come to think of it, I haven't been to the flying biscuit cafe since you left, it doesn't seem right since you're no longer here" I say sadly.

"Adriana, my grandmother is sad that you are no longer going, she called last week and I forgot to tell you, please don't stop going, for me" She pleads.

"Fine" I answer smiling.

"Great, now I have to go, talk to you later" Maddie says as she hangs up.

Now I'm all alone, again.

It's 7pm, I could just sleep early, I climb the stairs to my bedroom, do my night routine before jumping on my bed to fall asleep.
