Saturday morning,

Adriana's pov

"Hey" Maddie says as she enters my bedroom with a tray of food.

"Hi, what's all of this?" I ask pointing at the tray of food.

"Well, this is for you and I, breakfast in bed!" She cheers.

"Aww, you didn't have to" I tell her sincerely.

"I know, but after everything you've been going through, I thought that this might help a little" She answers.

"That's very thoughtful of you, thanks Madds" I say hugging her.

After we ate, I decided to take a shower and change into a green crop top, and white pants.

"Are you ready Anna?" I hear Maddie yelling from my bedroom.

"Yeah, I'm coming." I yell back.

Me and Madds decided to go to the mall today, the only thing that I am worried about is seeing my brother.

You see, Ashton is part of the popular squad, it means that they spend the whole day out, and most likely at the mall, and not only I had an argument with him and left the house, but jerk face too.

Jerk face is also part of the popular squad, so wherever Ashton is jerk face is. I also had an argument with him and left his house.

GREAT.

"Are you okay?" Maddie says not looking away from the road.

"Yeah, just lost in my thoughts." I mean it is true, but not completely.

OH NO

WHAT IF KAYLA AND SOPHIA ARE HANGING OUT IN THE MALL, AND THEN THEY SEE ME THERE WITH MADDIE, THEY WILL BE MAD, THEY WILL THINK THAT I DON'T WANT TO HANG OUT WITH THEM.

"Adriana, you're doing it again" She sighs "What's wrong? You can tell me anything you know that right?"

After 10 long minutes of explaining everything that's going through my mind, that's her reaction.

"Look you shouldn't be nervous or worried, reason number 1, Ashton is guilty, he knew what was going on and he didn't tell you, reason number 2, if jerk face actually offered you to stay at his house just to brag about it, he is guilty, you didn't do anything wrong, you just wanted someone to be there for you and to help you, reason number 3, if Kayla and Sophia are actually there, it doesn't matter, you have other friends too, they are not the only ones you can hang out with, you called Kayla to see if you can stay at her house, and she didn't answer, she wasn't there when you needed her, I don't know if she didn't pick up the phone because she was upset that you weren't answering her calls, or maybe she was sleeping, but it doesn't change the fact that they weren't there when you needed them." She finishes her long speech.

"You're right, thanks Madds." I thank her, because her speech really affected me.

"You are very welcome, I'm always here for you don't forget." She says as she parks her car in the mall's parking lot.

We hop out of the car and walk in the mall.

"So" I say clapping my hands "Where do we go first?"

"Hum, how about... Victoria Secret?" She asks excitedly.

"That's an amazing idea" I agree with Madds and we go to Victoria Secret.

I really need a new swimwear.

"Do you think that this one will look great?" I ask not really sure about the swimwear in my hand.

"Yeah, white looks hot on you Adriana." She gives me the thumbs up.

We have been in Victoria Secret for like an hour now.

I bought a white two-piece swimwear.

"I am hungry" I whine.

"Yeah me too, wanna go to the food court?" Madds asks me.

"Of course!" I cheer.

We arrived at the food court, bought our food and sat down.

"This is so good" I moan while eating.

I bought mac and cheese, and it's really good.

"Mine is mediocre" Maddie says playing with her food a disappointed look on her face.

Maddie bought fish and chips, she said that the fries were dry and the fish is overcooked.

"You can eat from mine if you want" I suggest.

"Yeah I would love that, thanks Anna" She says as she melts from the mac and cheese.

"Thanks for today, you really did get my mind off of everything." I thank her.

"It's my pleasure, we can do this more often." She suggests.

"I would love that" I agree smiling.

But soon my smile fades away when I see Ashton and jerk face standing with their friend group laughing, well at least they didn't see me, yet.

"Hum, Madds can we go now?" I ask very nervous.

"Why? Are you okay?" She questions.

"Ashton and his friends are right behind you, I just want to leave discreetly, I don't think they saw us, so let's just go." I ask her.

"Okay let's go" Maddie says as she stands up.

When we arrived in front of Maddie's car, I sighed in relieve.

"Adriana, can we talk?" I hear a familiar voice saying behind me.

I turn around and see Ashton standing next to jerk face.

"I am busy, I have to go" I say trying to leave but Ashton stops me.

"Please just listen, mom wants you to come for dinner tonight, and your friend Maddie too if you want, Jace family will be there too." He tells me.

"I am not going back to your house" I make sure to pronounce your very well.

"Please, we all miss you, our house is empty without you." He also makes sure to pronounce our very well.

"I am not going, and it's not my house anymore, I don't live with liars." This is the last thing I say before leaving.

We hop into the car and leave to Maddie's house.

"Are you going?" She asks breaking the silence.

"I can't stay one minute in front of any of them." I tell her sincerely.

"If you want, I'll go with you, for moral support." She cheers and I chuckle.

"I don't know" I answer honestly.

"I am telling you, you shouldn't show them that you're affected by what they did, you should keep your head up, and show them that you are a strong and independent woman." She finishes.

"You're right, I'll see, but if I'm going you're definitely coming." I tell her.

"Okay, as you wish" She laughs.

We arrive at Maddie's house and spent the day watching the vampire diaries, I love Elena, but when she turned her emotions off, she was a b**ch.

Ashton's pov

"Hey dude, what's up with you?" Asher asks "You've been really distracted these days, you sure you okay?" He finishes.

I was not fine not at all, I lied to my sister, I should've told her that our parents were getting divorce, even if they told me not to, Adriana didn't deserve to find out like that, my dad cheated on my mom, and trust me when I found out, I did not process it well, Adriana didn't either, but I don't blame her for leaving the house, or if she doesn't want to come for dinner tonight.

~Flashback~

I was sitting in the living room, watching the new spider man movie, and eating popcorn when I felt the need to go pee.

I got up, paused the movie and went upstairs, when I was done I remembered that I had to go see if mom still wanted to go shopping with Adriana and me, or otherwise I go out with my friends.

I made my way towards my parents room, and opened the door.

"I can't do this anymore Don! The last time you said that you were drunk, and that you didn't mean to cheat on me! This is the second time! I cannot hide my sadness from the kids anymore! They are going to find out anyway!" My mom yells.

"W-what?" I stutter my voice shaking.

"Honey, are you okay? Tell me, what did you hear?" My mom asks clearly worried.

I don't answer her and burst into their room yelling at my father.

"HOW COULD YOU!? YOU CHEATED ON MOM! AND TWICE! YOU ARE A SELFISH A**HOLE" I spat at him.

"HOW COME YOU DIDN'T TELL US MOM?! I AM TELLING ADRIANA, NOW!" I yell walking out of their bedroom but my mom stops me.

"Please Ashy, don't tell her, it would break her heart" My mom pleads.

"Well what if she finds out by herself wouldn't she be mad?!" I yell.

"Please, don't tell her, I will, once I'm ready" My mom begs me.

"FINE!" I yell and slam the front door shut.

Days and days have passed, I haven't been going to school, I would stay out all day, and come back home late, Jace told me that Adriana was worried, so he made up this lame excuse that I was seeing someone.

I wanted to tell Adriana, but I couldn't, or I should say that I wasn't allowed to.

~End of flashback~

"Ashton? You're doing it again, what's going on?" Asher asks in a worried tone.

"Just drop it Asher, I'm fine" I answer dryly.

"Hey guys wanna go eat?" Jace asks us.

"Yeah sure let's go" I say hiding my sadness by a huge smile.

"Hey and guess what?" Jace says again.

"What's up?" I say popping the 'p'

"The other night, there was a party at Jackson's house, Amanda was there and she humiliated herself so bad!" Jace laughs.

"What happened?" I ask raising an eyebrow, curiosity taking over me.

"She was so drunk, that she started singing" Jace says in between his laughs.

"You are kidding me!" I say laughing so hard.

"Nope, trust me, here watch the video" Jace says handing me his phone.

When the video was done I was laughing my ass off, tears falling from my eyes.

"Wow, this video gave me a stomach ache" I say wiping away the happy tears.

We turn around and arrive at the food court, this is when I noticed Adriana sneaking out with her friend Madison or Addison, whatever her name was.

Guilt flood back to me, and my feet took over control and brought me next to her.

She turned around and tried to escape "Adriana can we talk?" I ask hoping she will agree.

"I'm busy, I have to go" She says turning around but I stop her.

"Please just listen, mom wants you to come for dinner tonight, and your friend Maddie too if you want, Jace family will be there too." I say this time pronouncing Maddie's name right, I'm sure that if I didn't, Adriana would never accept.

"I am not going back to your house" She makes sure to pronounce your very well, but it made me feel even worse.

"Please, we all miss you, our house is empty without you." I make sure to pronounce our very well too, I'm sure it will make her more mad, but it's still her house.

"I am not going, and it's not my house anymore, I don't live with liars." Her words felt like someone was stabbing me with daggers, liars, this is what we are for her, liars.

I tried to talk to her, but she already left, I hope that she'll be coming tonight.

Adriana's pov

After watching tvd the entire afternoon, me and Maddie decided play 20 questions.

"Okay, I'll start" Maddie says excitedly and I nod.

"What's your biggest fear?"

"Heights" I answer "My turn, what's your dream job?"

"Designer" She replies "Do you still like jerk face?"

"No" I say "My turn now, do you like Ashton?"

"What? Of course not" She tells me "My turn, are you going to the dinner tonight?"

"I have no idea, what do you think?" I ask her.

"You should go, your parents can maybe clear up the situation by explaining themselves" She says.

"Yeah you're right, they better have a very good explanation, will you be coming, please?" I plead.

"Of course, now let's go get ready" She says grabbing my hand.

Few hours later, we were finally ready, Maddie and I decided to match dress colors, I was wearing a short black long sleeved dress that hugged my curves really well.

"You ready Madds?" I yell through her house.

"Yeah, I'm coming, I was just fixing my dress" She yells from her bedroom.

Once she's here, we leave the house making sure we locked the house, and hopped into the car.

When we arrived in my old house's driveway I took a deep breath and mumbled to myself "I can do this."

We got out of the car and walked to the front door, I noticed jerk face's car here, his family must be here then, what if they thought that I wasn't coming and decided to go eat? What if I am not welcomed here anymore? What if they were already done of dinner?

Question by question flooded in my brain "This is a bad idea, we should go" I tell Maddie as I walk back to the car.

"Adriana wait, you can do this, stop overthinking, I am here for you, okay?" She reassures me.

"I don't know Maddie, what if they weren't expecting me to come and already ate? What if I am not welcomed there anymore?" I ask very anxious.

"Adriana Valentina Jones, how dare you think that way? You will always be welcome this is still your house, and if they don't welcome you this is their problem, you shouldn't show yourself weak in front of them, because you are NOT! So we are going" She tells me in a mom tone.

"Okay mom" I chuckles and she does too.

We walked back to the front door and knocked twice before my mom opened, her eyes widen when she saw me, she definitely did not expect that.

"A-adriana? You came?" She asked clearly not believing my presence here.

"Well you can see me right?" I ask rolling my eyes.

What? I am still mad, and the first thing she says is 'Adriana, you came?', I am literally standing right in front of her.

"Sorry, it's just that I didn't expect to see you here" She replies.

"Well I can go if you want me to" I say coldly.

"No, no, you are always welcome here." She says opening the door.

Maddie and I step inside, and I turn my attention to Maddie.

"Maddie this is my mo-, this is Isabella." I say trying to catch my mistake quickly, I do say mom in my head, but out loud, I think it will take a while longer, moms don't lie. "Isabella this is Maddie."

I turn to look at mom and see sadness in her eyes, well spoiler alert, this is how I felt this WHOLE time.

Maddie and I walk to the living room, where everyone is supposed to be, and everyone turns their attention to us, all of them wide eyed.

"What are y'all staring at?" I huff rolling my eyes, and yes, I've got an attitude right now, I am not going to act all happy and nice towards them.

"Adriana, you came" Ashton says in disbelief.

"Why does everyone keep saying that, I am literally standing in front of you, can't you see that?!" I say harshly.

"Okay, okay sorry" He says raising his hands up in the air in surrender.

"Whatever" I mumble "Anyways, this is Maddie one of my closest friends, Madds this is Don the cheater, Ashton the secret keeper, jerk face the bragger, Isabella the liar." I finish and everyone, including Maddie, gapes at me.

I act like nothing happened and go sit, everyone remains silent, but me being me, decided to break it.

"So, Isabella, why did you want me to come?" I ask turning my attention to mom.

"I just wanted to talk to you, it's been a while." She says looking at the floor.

"Well what about?" I say crossing my arms.

"About everything that happened" She says her voice cracking.

"Well go on, I am not stopping you" I say motioning for her to continue.

"First of all, I am sorry that you found out by yourself, it wasn't what I wanted, I was going to tell you once I was ready-" I cut her off "And when was that day going to come? Oh, I know, never."

"I was going to tell you, trust me, but after Ashton found out, I got scared, I was going to tell both of you at the same time, but when Ashton found out, his reaction wasn't what I expected-" I cut her off again "What did you expect? Did you want us to applause? He fu**ing cheated on you Isabella! What is he doing here anyway!?" I yell, I felt tears forming in my eyes but I refused to let them out.

"Adriana, when I found out, my heart broke, do you think that it was easy telling you! Try putting yourself in my shoes! Imagine if one day you liked someone, whether they knew it or not, broke your heart, wouldn't you be sad, crying and going through a breakdown?!" She yells and I look at jerk face, tears streaming down my face.

She is right, when you like someone, and your heart breaks, it's not easy to deal with it, especially dealing with it yourself, mom had to deal with it, but also with us, should I feel bad about how I reacted?

When I looked at jerk face, I saw him already looking at me, guilt, sadness, pain and confusion in his eyes, tears were going down my face, I have to go, I can't let him know that I went through this too, and I won't let them think that I am weak, I gave everyone one more glance, took my purse and burst out of the house slamming the door shut.

I was walking to Maddie's car when I heard someone's voice behind me calling my name "Adriana"
