My Brother Fiancé (14)
I know I am late actually too late.
But here is a long chapter for all of you. Hope all of you will like it.
.
New Beginnings
The morning after the reception drama was heavy with unease, but the Oberoi family was determined to restore peace. Gauri sat quietly in the living room, her gaze distant. Akshat's actions from the previous evening echoed in her mind, filling her with sadness and embarrassment.
Janvi, noticing Gauri's somber mood, sat beside her and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "Beta, life is full of unexpected turns. But remember, you're part of this family now, and we're all here for you."
"only for 3 months maa, now I am understanding why chachi was against it. she knows the consciences. and now I am feeling that after 3 months I will face more than this"
gauri reply with teary eyes. Janhvi's heart broke to hear this. she never wanted this for Gauri.
"please beta do not think like that, we never wanted you only for 3 months, you are family now"
Janhvi said holding Gauri's face. Dadi also come there. As omkara said, there is no news or drama about yesterday's incident.
Before Gauri could respond to Janhvi, the doorbell rang. The family exchanged curious glances as the butler opened the door. There stood Neha and her parents.
A wave of shock rippled through the room. Kalyani rose from her chair, her sharp gaze fixed on Neha. "What are you doing here after everything that happened?" she demanded, her voice firm but composed.
Neha is scared first, but she has to do it.
Neha took a deep breath and stepped forward, her parents following close behind. "I came to explain myself," she said, her voice steady but tinged with regret. "I ran away because I loved someone else. It wasn't about disrespecting this family; it was about being true to myself."
Her parents bowed their heads in shame, and her father spoke. "We deeply regret the pain our daughter has caused. Please forgive us. We were blinded by societal expectations and didn't see what Neha truly wanted."
As they finished, Omkara is also there, He heard everything. He is shock to see neha or, we can say pretend.
The room fell silent. Omkara, standing by the window, looked at Neha. Though her actions had hurt them all, he couldn't help but admire her courage to stand by her truth. He feels bad for neha. As he knows that he uses neha for his own motive.
"It was wrong," Omkara said, his voice measured. "But I understand. Life is too short to live with regrets. We forgive you, Neha. I hope you find happiness."
Ommkara said coming to Neha.
Neha smiles with tears,
"thank you so much ommkara. I thought you will never forgive me. I am sorry."
neha cry ad hug omkara, he patted her head and say to calm down.
"how can I stay angry from my friend? I completely understand your feelings neha. when you are in love, you can't see what is wrong and what is right. you just do everything to get what is yours" ommkara said looking at gauri.
here, gauri see them and....does not feel good. In this serious situation why she is not feeling good to see Neha and ommkara close? what kind of feeling is this? she is looking them silently.
omkara break the hug and look at his family. expecting them to forgive neha.
the family did not reply anything. Neha join her hands to them.
"I know I have hurt you, still I want all of you to forgive me, i never wanted to hurt or disrespect you. please forgive me."
neha said.
"if omm has forgiven you, we can't say anything.we can forgive you for running away because you have saved your and omkara life with this. but we can't forgive you for giving drugs to our children. do you know what kind of scandle happend due to that?"
dadi said.
"believe me dadi, i did not do anything. when rohan come and tell me he still love me. he said to leave everything and run away. i just did because i love him. but i did not drug anyone"
neha said. omkara see the situation and try to handle it.
"dadi i believe Neha, she can't do anything like this, we will find out the culprit soon" omkara said.
after a lot of talk finally the family forgive neha.
Neha's eyes flicked to Gauri, noticing her sindoor and mangalsutra. For a moment, a flicker of shock crossed her face, but then she smiled faintly. "I think everything turned out the way it was meant to," she said.
As she knows everything about Ommkara and Gauri marriage.
she said sorry to gauri. gauri did not say anything but give a small smile to neha.
With that, she and her parents left, leaving behind an air of closure.

Two Days Later
Life at the Oberoi mansion had settled into a steady rhythm. Gauri, however, felt a growing sense of restlessness. She missed her parents and felt out of place in her new home. Omkara, noticing her discomfort, decided to take matters into his hands.
They are settle for breakfast. Eating and talking.
"We're introducing Gauri to the office staff tomorrow," he announced at breakfast. "It's important she will feels connected to our world."
Gauri saw him in confusion. the other member look at him from their breakfast plates.
"good idea, I was thinking about this from yesterday" tej said smiling.
all the family members agree to this. as they know Gauri is disturb from 2 days and it will help her to feel good.
The next day, Gauri walked into Oberoi Enterprises with Omkara by her side. She marveled at the grandeur of the building and the professionalism that radiated from the staff. Omkara introduced her to the managers, board members, and other employees. Each of them welcomed her warmly, making her feel valued and included.
For the first time in days, Gauri felt a spark of excitement. Meeting new people and learning about the company filled her with a sense of purpose.
Finally, Omkara led her to his cabin. The office was sleek and modern, with a touch of personal warmth. He pulled out a chair for her and sat across from her.
"You seem happy," he said, a smile tugging at his lips.
"I am," she admitted. "It's so refreshing to meet new people and see your world."
Their eyes met, and the moment stretched. Omkara reached out and gently brushed a strand of hair from her face. "You belong here, Gauri," he said softly.
The air grew heavy with unspoken feelings. Gauri's cheeks flushed as she felt a pull toward him, a warmth she had never experienced before.
He stand from his chairs and lean to Gauri who is sitting on chair.
He holds the arms of the chairs and leans closer, Gauri stops breathing for a second feeling him so close.
Their faces are close and eyes are lock.
For the first time Gauri noticed his face, every feature is attractive, specially his eyes.
"Gauri, you are not allowed to feel sad or out of the place untill I am here. You belongs to my world. "
Ommkara said... But the voice is different.. It's husky and mix of possessiveness.
Gauri feels goosebumps on her body hearing him.
Ommkara rise his right hand still leaning, he uses his thumb to wipe something near her lips.
Gauri hold her breath and clutch her dress in nervousness.
His touch is really provoking.
Ommkara knew his actions are affecting her, and he wants that.
He smile mischievously.
You had something here. He take out his hand and smile to her. Still their eyes lock.
Just then, the door burst open, and Rishabh, Omkara's cheeky secretary, walked in.
Ommkara lean backwards and gauri sit properly. She feels embarrassed.
"Oh, sorry to interrupt your... meeting," rishab said with a smirk.
Omkara shot him a warning glare. "Rishabh, don't push your luck."
Rishabh raised his hands in mock surrender. "Got it, boss!" he said, retreating with a grin.
"What's bring you here?"
Ommkara ask.
"The lunch is ready, as you said all the staffs will have lunch with ma'am and you. So please come. Or should i come after few hours?"
He said the last line to tease.
"No, we are ok Mr Rishab."
Ommkara reply.
"Shall we Gauri?"
Ommkara forward his hand, Gauri smile and took his hands and stand up.

Later That Night
The moonlight bathed the Oberoi mansion in a silvery glow. Gauri sat on the balcony, enjoying the cool breeze and the quiet of the night. She looked up as Omkara joined her, carrying two cups of tea.
"Tea?" he offered, settling beside her.
"Thank you," she said, taking a cup. They sat in comfortable silence, the city lights twinkling in the distance.
"This is nice," Gauri said after a while. "Peaceful."
"It is," Omkara agreed. "Life's been chaotic lately. But I want you to know, Gauri, that you're not alone in this."
She glanced at him, her heart swelling with gratitude. "I feel that. Thank you."
He hesitated before speaking again. "If you ever have any doubts-about me, about us-please tell me. I want us to be honest with each other."
Gauri's chest tightened. She thought of Akshat, the toxicity of their relationship, and how different Omkara was. He was kind, understanding, and respectful-everything Akshat had never been.
"I don't have doubts," she said, her voice soft but firm. "I think... I think I'm beginning to see what's right in front of me."
Omkara smiled, his heart leaping at her words. The distance between them seemed to shrink as they sat together, lost in each other's presence.
For the first time, Gauri felt a glimmer of hope-not just for her future, but for her heart.
Here’s a romantic and cute chapter based on your scene:
---
The room was dimly lit, the soft golden glow of a bedside lamp casting long shadows across the walls. Gauri sat cross-legged on the bed, nervously fidgeting with the corner of her dupatta. Her eyes darted toward Omkara, who stood near the window, sipping his tea with an unreadable expression. The silence between them wasn’t uncomfortable—it was just heavy with unspoken thoughts.
“Omkara ji,” she began, her voice barely above a whisper.
He turned to look at her, his sharp features softening as he noticed the slight tremble in her hands. “Hmm?”
Gauri took a deep breath, gathering her courage. “Aaj…aaj aap bed par so jaiye.”
(Today you sleep in bed)
Omkara froze mid-sip, his eyes widening slightly as he processed her words. “Kya?”(what?)
“I trust you,” she added quickly, her gaze meeting his with quiet determination. “Aap mere saath bed par so sakte hain.”
(You can sleep in bed with me)
For a moment, he simply stared at her, his expression unreadable. Then, with a slight tilt of his head, he placed the empty tea cup on the side table and walked toward her.
“Gauri,” he said, sitting down on the edge of the bed, his tone laced with a teasing edge, “Mujhse zyada umeed mat rakhna. Mere haath aur pair hain… raat ko kahin bhi jaa sakte hain.”
( Don't trust me so much my hand and legs can go anywhere at night )
A flush of crimson crept up her cheeks, and she looked away, embarrassed yet amused. “Omkara ji!” she protested, swatting his arm lightly.
He chuckled, the deep timbre of his laugh sending a strange warmth through her. “I’m just warning you,” he said, raising his hands in mock surrender.
Gauri bit her lip to hide a smile and reached for the tea tray he had brought in earlier. Handing him his cup, she murmured, “Phir bhi, thank you. Aap mere liye chai laaye.”
( Thank you for bringing tea for me)
“Of course,” he replied, taking a sip. “Mujhe laga, tumhein meri warning digest karne ke liye chai ki zarurat hogi.”
( I thought you will need tea to digest my warning)
She giggled, the sound light and melodic. The tension in the air began to dissipate, replaced by a comfortable warmth.
As the night wore on, they both settled on opposite ends of the bed, an invisible line of understanding between them. Gauri lay down, her back turned toward him, clutching the edge of her pillow tightly. Omkara leaned against the headboard, glancing at her small, curled-up figure.
After a few moments, he reached out and gently adjusted the blanket over her. “Good night, Gauri,” he said softly.
She turned her head slightly, her eyes meeting his in the dim light. A shy smile graced her lips. “Good night, Omkara ji.”
And as the night deepened, the distance between them seemed to shrink—not physically, but emotionally. The hesitant trust that began with a cup of tea was slowly weaving its way into something deeper, something unspoken yet undeniable.
**************
The morning sunlight peeked through the sheer curtains, casting a golden hue over the room. Gauri stirred slightly, feeling a weight around her waist. Her heart skipped a beat as she realized Omkara’s arm was draped over her, holding her gently but firmly in place.
Her breath hitched. What is this man doing? she thought, trying to steady her racing heart.
“Omkara ji!” she whispered, glancing over her shoulder.
He didn’t respond, his face resting mere inches away from hers. His eyes were closed, his long lashes casting faint shadows on his cheekbones. He looked so peaceful, so… innocent.
But Gauri wasn’t convinced. She wriggled slightly, attempting to slide out from under his arm. The movement, however, only made his hold tighten.
“stop,” his sleepy voice mumbled, lips brushing dangerously close to her ear. “ don't move now.”
Her eyes widened, and a deep blush crept up her cheeks. “Omkara ji!” she hissed, louder this time. “Aap… kya kar rahe hain?”( what are you doing?)
He shifted slightly, his arm pulling her even closer. “Sone do, Gauri,”( let me sleep)
he murmured, his tone teasingly soft.
Her heart hammered in her chest. She couldn’t decide if she was embarrassed, annoyed, or secretly… enjoying the moment. “Aap sach mein so rahe hain ya natak kar rahe hain?” ( are you really sleeping or pretending to sleep)
she asked, her voice trembling.
At this, Omkara cracked open one eye, a sly smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “Tumhe kya lagta hai?”( what do you think?)
he asked, his voice low and mischievous.
Gauri’s face turned an even deeper shade of red. “Aap natak kar rahe hain! Hatt jaiye na!”
( You are pretending, please leave me)
“Arre,” he said, feigning innocence and yawning dramatically, “Mujhe laga tum comfortable ho.”
( I thought you are comfortable)
Comfortable was the last thing she felt. Her pulse raced, and her mind buzzed with thoughts she couldn’t quite articulate. But before she could retort, he loosened his grip slightly and leaned back with a smirk.
Gauri sat up quickly, clutching her dupatta as if it could shield her from the warmth of her own emotions. She avoided his gaze, her cheeks still flushed.
Omkara stretched lazily, suppressing a chuckle. “Tumhare chehre ka rang toh sab kuch bata raha hai,” he teased, his voice light but laced with affection.
( The colour of your face is saying something else )
“Bas!” she snapped, throwing a pillow at him. “Aapki yeh harkatein…!”
He caught the pillow effortlessly, his eyes twinkling. “Kya harkatein, Gauri? Tumhe toh acha lag raha tha.”
( What acts? Gauri you were feeling good)
Her jaw dropped, and she glared at him. “Aapko kuch zyada hi bharosa hai apne upar!”
( You trust yourself so much right?)
He leaned forward, his expression softening. “Aur tumpe bhi, Gauri. Tumhare bharose ke bina main yeh sab kar hi nahi sakta.”
For a moment, the teasing atmosphere was replaced by something deeper, something unspoken. Gauri’s blush deepened, but this time, she didn’t look away.
Perhaps, just perhaps, she didn’t mind his closeness as much as she thought.
*************************
It had been a month since Gauri and Omkara's marriage, and in this short time, her feelings for him had deepened. Omkara, ever attentive, seemed to know her every need without her saying a word. Whether it was small gestures like leaving her favorite flowers by her bedside or ensuring she was included in family decisions, he had made her feel cherished in a way she'd never imagined.
Now she joined the office also. Helping Ommkara in work. They spend a lot of time with each other.
That morning, Gauri decided to visit the market to buy some groceries. Janhvi told her servants will do it, but Gauri wanted to make something special for omkara so she came by herself.
The bustling streets were alive with activity as vendors shouted their wares. As she selected fresh vegetables, a voice she had hoped never to hear again startled her.
"Well, well, look who we have here," Akshat's mocking tone cut through the air.
Gauri froze for a moment but quickly regained her composure. Turning, she found him standing a few feet away, smirking.
"What do you want, Akshat?" she asked, her voice firm but calm.
"Nothing, really," he said with a shrug, stepping closer. "Just curious to see how you're doing, Mrs. Oberoi. Living the high life, are you?"
Gauri narrowed her eyes. "If you don't have anything worthwhile to say, I suggest you leave."
"Oh, come on," he sneered. "You must be proud of yourself, manipulating your way into my brother's life. Tell me, Gauri, how does it feel to play the innocent while trapping two brothers?"
The words stung, but Gauri refused to let him see her pain. Straightening her back, she met his gaze. "The only person who ever tried to manipulate anyone was you, Akshat. You lied, you disrespected me, and you showed me exactly the kind of man you are-weak and toxic."
Akshat's smirk faltered, but he quickly recovered. "You think you're so smart, don't you? Running off to Omkara for a better deal?"
Gauri stepped closer, her voice steady and sharp. "I didn't run anywhere, Akshat. My marriage to Omkara is a blessing, one I thank God for every day. And as for you? You're nothing but a bitter memory, one I've left far behind."
Her words left him speechless, and without another glance, Gauri picked up her groceries and walked away.

Later That Evening
Back at the Oberoi mansion, Gauri tried to focus on her daily chores, but Akshat's cruel words echoed in her mind. She didn't share what had happened with anyone, not wanting to disrupt the peace of her new life.
When Omkara returned from work, he immediately noticed her quiet demeanor. "Gauri?" he called gently, setting down his briefcase.
She looked up from the kitchen, forcing a smile. "You're home early."
"I am," he said, walking closer. "But something's wrong. What is it?"
"Nothing," she replied quickly. "Just tired, that's all."
Omkara frowned, not convinced. "You can't hide your feelings from me, Gauri. If something's bothering you, you need to tell me."
But she shook her head. "It's really nothing, Omkara. Please, don't worry."
Though frustrated, Omkara decided not to push further. Instead, he resolved to cheer her up in his own way.
He leaned against the doorway, a small smile playing on his lips. "And here I thought the kitchen staff had taken the day off," he said, breaking the silence.
stepping closer. "And what's going on here? Where's everyone else?"
"They've all gone to a wedding function," she said, brushing a strand of hair off her forehead. "I didn't feel like going, so I stayed back."
"And decided to cook a feast by yourself?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "You know we have plenty of staff for that, right?"
Gauri smiled, turning back to her cooking. "I know. But I wanted to make something special for you, with my own hands. It makes me happy."
Omkara's gaze softened as he watched her. "Gauri, you don't have to stress yourself. You've done so much already-"
"It's not stress," she interrupted, glancing at him. "It's love... I mean.. I mean I like it. I feel closer to you when I do little things like this. Let me have that, Omkara."
Her words left him speechless for a moment. Love? Is he getting successful in his motive? Is she falling for him?
He walked over, leaning against the counter beside her. "Alright," he said softly. "But on one condition."
"What condition?" she asked, looking up at him curiously.
"I get to help," he said, rolling up his sleeves.
Gauri laughed, shaking her head. "Help? You'll end up burning the kitchen down!"
"Hey," he said with mock offense. "I'm not that bad. Just tell me what to do."
"Fine," she said, handing him a knife. "Chop these vegetables for the salad. And don't complain if they're not perfect!"
Ommkara smile and start cutting veggies.
As they worked side by side, the conversation flowed effortlessly. Omkara teased her about the amount of spice she added, and Gauri countered by pointing out his picky eating habits. Their laughter echoed through the kitchen, filling the house with warmth.
***************************
Later, At the Dining Table
The table was set with steaming dishes: baingan bharta, mixed vegetable curry, fresh salad, and a bowl of gajar ka halwa for dessert. Omkara sat down, watching as Gauri served him.
He took a bite of the baingan bharta, his eyes widening in surprise. "This... this is amazing, Gauri! It's better than anything I've ever had."
"Really?" she asked, her cheeks flushing with pride.
"Really," he said, taking another bite. "If I knew you could cook like this, I would have married you much sooner."
Gauri's eyes widened, and she playfully hit his arm. "Stop it, Omkara! You're just saying that."
"No, I mean it," he said, his tone sincere. "You've outdone yourself. This is perfect."
She smiled shyly, sitting down across from him. "I'm glad you like it. I wasn't sure if I'd get the flavors right."
"You got more than just the flavors right," he said, his gaze locking with hers. "You made this meal with so much love... I can taste it in every bite."
Gauri felt her heart flutter. "You have a way with words, Mr. Oberoi."
"And you have a way with food, Mrs. Oberoi," he replied with a smirk.
As they moved on to dessert, Omkara picked up a spoonful of gajar ka halwa and held it out to her. "Here, you have to try this first."
Gauri hesitated. "But it's for you-"
"Just taste it," he insisted, leaning closer.
Blushing, she took a bite, the sweet warmth of the dessert spreading through her. "It's good," she admitted.
"It's perfect," he corrected, taking another spoonful for himself.
They continued eating, sharing bites and smiles. After the meal, they sat together, sipping tea on the couch.
"Thank you for this, Gauri," Omkara said, his voice soft. "You didn't just cook dinner. You made me feel... loved."
"That's because you are," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
He reached for her hand, his thumb brushing over her knuckles. "You don't know how much that means to me."
Their eyes met, and in that quiet moment, words were unnecessary. They simply sat there, basking in the comfort of each other's presence, knowing that their bond was growing stronger with each passing day.
************************
The Next Day
When Gauri woke up, she found the house buzzing with excitement. Curious, she stepped out of her room to see Omkara speaking with a smiling couple. Her heart leaped when she recognized them-her chacha and chachi, Nitin and Kajal, along with her younger brother Jai.
"Chachi! Chacha! Jai!" she exclaimed, rushing forward to hug them.
"We missed you, Gauri," Kajal said warmly, holding her tightly.
Omkara stood nearby, his arms crossed and a satisfied smile on his face. Gauri looked at him, her eyes shining with gratitude.
"All credit goes to Omkara," Nitin said, patting his shoulder. "He personally came to invite us."
Gauri's heart swelled. The day flew by as she laughed, cooked, and shared stories with her family, feeling a sense of joy and belonging she hadn't experienced in a long time.
That Night
After bidding her family goodbye, Gauri returned to her room. She was arranging the pillows on the bed when Omkara walked in. Before he could say anything, she turned and hugged him tightly.
"Omkara ji," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.
He froze for a moment, surprised, but then his arms wrapped around her, pulling her close. "Gauri?"
She pulled back slightly, her eyes brimming with tears. "Thank you. For everything. For bringing my family here, for always understanding me... for being you."
Omkara smiled softly, brushing a tear from her cheek. "You don't need to thank me, Gauri. Your happiness means everything to me."
"I don't know how I got so lucky," she said, her voice trembling. "But I promise I'll do everything to be a good wife, to make you happy."
"You already do," he said, his voice low. "Gauri, you deserve all the happiness in the world, and I'll make sure you get it. Always."
She leaned into him, her head resting on his chest. "I was so wrong about love before. But now I understand. It's about kindness, respect, and care. And you've given me all of that."
Omkara tilted her chin up, their eyes locking. "Gauri, you don't have to force yourself to feel anything for me. I just want you to be yourself."
He doesn't want to force her.
"I don't need to force anything," she replied, her voice firm. "I've never been more sure of my feelings."
She said, he is confused.
"I.... I love you Ommkara ji"
Gauri said lowering her eye lashes. Feeling shy and excited at the same time.
First he thought that he heard wrong. But then seeing her blushing face he realisees that yes he won now he get successful to win her heart. He get successful to listen those words from her mouth.
"Gauri?"
He ask again.
Gauri look at him and then say.
" It's okay if you don't have any feelings for me I completely understand but I wanted to share my feelings with you, and it is not suddenly maybe I have fallen for you before our marriage but I was unaware about it. Believe me when I am saying I really love you "
Gauri said with honesty.
Ommkara smile with tears and hug her.
"I love you too Gauri. I love you more than anything. I love you with my life"
He confess and kiss her head.
Finally he got what he wants.
Finally now he can called her his.
This moment is really precious. He just want to stop the moment here where he knows that she loves them.
He break the hug and hold her face with his hands.
Gauri close her eyes with anticipation as she knows what's coming.
Their faces drew closer, and the world seemed to fade away as they shared a tender, lingering kiss. In that moment, all doubts, fears, and past hurts dissolved, leaving only the promise of a new beginning.
.
I hope this is good.
As I have updated after a long time so this is a long chapter.
