Pantry Party
"It's Alfred and Arthur."
"What?! Why are they fighting? Let me see!" Matthew whisper-yelled, lightly shoving Gilbert away from the door and placing his ear against it. It was definitely them. With the loud music blaring from below the yelling was slightly hard to hear, but Matthew could just about make out what they were arguing about.
"You kissed her!"
"It was part of the play you git! Why do you care anyway?!"
"Because."
"Because why?"
"You know why! Stop acting so mean to me all the time!"
"I wouldn't be mean if you weren't such an idiot!"
Matthew had heard enough. Lifting his head up from the door, he sighed. They were being ridiculous. "What's going on in there?" Gilbert asked, wondering why Matthew had such an exasperated look on his face.
"They're doing their usual 'I hate you' 'I hate you more' shtick." Matthew replied, rubbing his temples in an attempt to ease the oncoming headache out of his brain. Gilbert groaned and inched a bit further away from the door.
"Care to join me back on the windowsill?" Gilbert asked, holding out a hand for Matthew to take. Matthew nodded and smiled, taking his hand and walking back down the hallway before plopping down on the cushion where they were sitting a few minutes before.
The two talked for a few minutes about the play and school and sports and art before they realized that the shouting from down the hall had gone quiet. The two stared at each other with confused expressions but continued talking, figuring the two had probably just lowered their voices. But after 20 minutes of silence, Alfred and Arthur still hadn't left the room. Matthew started to get suspicious.
"So after Antonio tackled the security guard, Francis-"
"Shhhhhh" Matthew interrupted, holding his index finger up to silence the German.
"Hey! I was just getting to the good part!" Gilbert protested. Matthew immediately shot his hand up and covered the German's mouth. There were some muffled noises coming from Gilbert for a few moments before he finally gave up.
"Listen. Those two have been quiet for 20 minutes and neither of them have left. What the hell could they possibly doing in there?" Matthew questioned, both confusion and curiousity coursing through his brain.
"Why don't we go check it out, nosy Nelly." Gilbert suggested, gesturing towards the purple door that Alfred and Arthur were arguing behind 20 minutes prior.
"Wow! When did you turn into a 43 year-old soccer mom that drives an pearlescent blue minivan?" Matthew shot back sarcastically, snorting at Gilbert's use of the phrase "nosy Nelly".
"Just yesterday, actually! I picked up my son Brent at soccer practice and grabbed a Kale smoothie with the gal pals. It was fabtastic." Gilbert joked, attempting his best snobbish, soccer mom American accent as the two made their way down the hallway. Matthew nearly burst out laughing at the response but stopped himself as soon as they reached the door. The two were smiling like idiots and looked like they were about to burst at any minute, but they continued on with their plan as Matthew turned the knob of the purple door.
The Canadian slowly creaked the door open as quietly as possible until he could fit his head through the opening. After motioning for Gilbert to stay back, Matthew pushed his head through the ajar door and peeked into the room, nearly letting out a screech at the sight in front of him. His brother had Arthur pinned against the wall and the two were furiously making out. Matthew had never been so scarred in his entire life.
Matthew rapidly whipped his head back from the crack in the door and looked at Gilbert with wide-eyes and an agape mouth. "THEY'RE MAKING OUT!" Matthew mouthed, staying silent as he carefully shut the door and sprinted down the hallway, wanting to get as far away from the purple door as possible. Gilbert followed, trying his hardest not to laugh at the Canadian before Matthew sat straight up with a scarred look on his face.
"I'm going to have to bleach my eyes." Matthew muttered, his eyes wide and zoned out, eliciting a laugh from Gilbert.
"We've seen them kiss before!" Gilbert exclaimed, wondering why the hell Matthew was so scarred by whatever was behind that purple door.
"Not. Like. That." Matthew squeaked, his voice cracking on the word "that".
"Well then. Why don't we go downstairs and get some food so that you can forget about whatever you just saw?" Gilbert suggested as sympathetic cringe spread across his fce.
"Good idea." Matthew muttered, shooting up from the windowsill and following Gilbert down the stairs and back onto the wild first floor. The music was still blaring and the kids were still dancing, distracted by their own drunkedness to even notice the Canadian and the German holding hands in the hallway. Gilbert quickly dragged Matthew through a crowd of students and into the kitchen, where there were kids talking and mixing drinks. None of them seemed to notice the two. Gilbert made sure the coast was clear before pulling Matthew into Ivan's pantry, which was pretty much just a little closet with food in it.
There was barely enough room for one of them in the small pantry, so the two were squeezed together as they attempted to find a snack. In an attempt to get out of the closet as soon as possble, Gilbert pointed to a box of crackers over Matthew's head and Matthew scrunched up his nose, remembering the time Ivan gave him one. Matthew didn't like the taste, they were too perfumey for his liking.
"Ooo Oreos!" Matthew exclaimed, excitedly bending down to grab a box of cookies from the bottom shelf. As Matthew bent down his butt went right into Gilbert's crotch, causing Gilbert to blush furiously and for Matthew to stand back up with an oblivious look on his face. After succesfully grabbing the cookies, Matthew turned around to face Gilbert and noticed his flushed cheeks. "What?!" Matthew asked innocently, tilting his head like a confused puppy.
"Matthew Williams, you are too cute for your own good." Gilbert mumbled, his face inches away from the oreo-holding Canadian. Matthew gave him a confused glance and Gilbert responded by tilting his chin up with his thumb and planting a kiss on his mouth. Matthew, surprised by the sudden kiss, dropped the box of oreos and clutched onto Gilbert's shirt with his hands, deepening the kiss. Gilbert smiled at the reciprocation and pinned Matthew against the door before slipping his tongue into the Canadians mouth. Matthew let out a little moan and Gilbert felt his pants get a little tighter. In order to hide his excitement, Gilbert pressed harder against the Canadian until he suddenly felt gravity shift.
Suddenly, the two were toppling towards the ground. The door had opened. Matthew let out a yelp as Gilbert fell on top of him in front of the entire party. Everyone in the kitchen and living room were suddenly staring at the two boys on top of each other with wide-eyes and agape mouths.
"Schiesse."
