8. Fried Chicken
The whole night was spent with my just thinking about last night and more importantly what Wooyoung wanted to tell me last night. Once I got to the next table read I was thinking that I was forgetting something. "Seoah. Seoah?" I heard Esh asked and I looked at her. We we're currently getting coffee.
"Yes." I said to her and she looked at me.
"You've been spacing out a lot today are you okay?" She asked me and I looked at her. I couldn't tell her the truth they were too many people around us.
"No. I've had something play on my mind all night and I don't think it'll go until I find something out." I said to her and as she took my arm and we started walking back over to the building again.
"Is it about you know who." She said to me and I took a sip of my iced americano.
"Yes and about fried chicken in a way." I said and she laughed in confusion. She didn't get the fried chicken part. It would be confusing to anyone outside of the group.
"What about fried chicken?" She asked me and I looked at her.
"I ate at my brothers place last night with all his group mates. And they said they saved me some fried chicken but I still haven't got it yet. They said that one of them will come over and deliver it but still no chicken." I said to her and she laughed at me until she realized I was being serious about everything.
"Do you think someone's eaten it?" She asked me and I shook my head at her. They wouldn't do that with there fridge rules they have. Especially since Seonghwa wrote it down as well.
"No, they're not like that. They have rules." I said to her and she didn't think I was serious again.
"Dead ass?" She asked me and I nodded at her.
"Yes, it's because they're fridge kept getting over crowded with left overs so they have a system." I said to her and she shook her head.
"God they said chaotic." She said to me and now it was my time to laugh.
"Very chaotic." I said to her and we finished the rest of the table read. As we were walking out I stopped Esh.
"Is everything okay?" She asked me and I looked at her.
"Tomorrow I was thinking of doing a live and I wanted to know if you wanted to join me." I said to her with a smile and she hugged me. She was grateful for this.
"I'd love. Text me the places address and I'll be there. We can get food and eat it on live and talk about everything." She said to me. She'd been thinking of this for a while and I wasn't exactly mad when I was thinking the exact same thing. I looked at her.
"I'll order the food I know a great place and the food is always amazing." I said to her and she smiled as me before we reached our individual drivers.
"I can't wait for it. See you tomorrow Seoah." She said to me and I smiled at her.
"See you tomorrow, Esh." I shouted before we got into our cars to go home and once we did. I went downstairs to the gym. I had to make sure that none of last nights food was going to stick around. Especially when we had fittings later this week and I had to make sure that I'd fit into my clothing. Once I had finished working up a sweat and went back to my room I stopped. I saw Mingi outside my door. Fried chicken in hand.
"They you are I brought your chicken." He said to me with a smile. I went over to the door.
"I hope you weren't waiting long." I said to him and he shook my head.
"I'd only just arrived. I wish I'd messaged you before I turned up." He said to me and I shook my head. As I opened the door to let us both in.
"No, I should've said that I would be at the gym if anyone needed me." I said to him and he sat down in the chair in my room.
"How about we both say that we shouldn't sent a message." He said to me and I smiled at that. This was the worst time for him to pop by. Especially since I was stinking of sweat.
"Let's leave it at that." I said to him and I could tell that he had something else that he wanted to say.
"Seoah, can I talk to you about something. About last night." He said to him and I nodded at him.
"Anything." I said to him and he looked at his for time then back at me.
"Did something happen between you and Wooyoung last night? He seemed a bit off when he came home and I wanted to make sure that you two never had an argument. Otherwise I will sit you in a room together as you work everything out." He said to me and I took a hard swallow.
"There was an incident in the bar but he was looking after me. But he said he wanted to tell me something and the he never did and he hasn't messaged me all day." I said to him and Mingi nodded at everything that I was saying.
"What was the incident? Are you okay?" He asked me and I nodded at him.
"I'm okay now. But some guy wouldn't leave me alone and Wooyoung stepped in to help me out." I said to him and he nodded at me.
"Does your brother know about this?" He asked and I shook my head.
"It's old news now, there's nothing that he can really do. I'm fine." I said to him and he nodded at me. His phone then buzzed.
"I'm needed but, you and Wooyoung. Sort this out before anything. I can't have two of my friends not getting along." He said to me and I smiled at him. I would make sure that whatever was going on with him would be sorted and soon. All he had to do was talk to me about what was wrong.
"I will sort it out. Don't worry." I said to him and he smiled and then he left. I was glad that he did pop by. Maybe then he can see how Woo is and tell me if there's anything I should do. Once he left I had a shower before treating myself to the fried chicken. I kept checking my phone to see if I had any messages but they were mainly from my old friend Shin Yeji. We'd gotten further apart since I moved to Seoul. But it was nice that she was checking in on me. I was just excited to go live tomorrow. And with Esh as well it would be amazing but he would also be filled with chaos. I was also hoping that Wooyoung would tell me what this thing was before it was too late. Was it something that I had said or hadn't said. Who knew, apart from him.
