Mumma , papa I promise you both that I will take care of Ashu as my own son , I will never allow a problem to reach him . I will stand as a shield in front of him ,protecting from the evils of this world . I promise mumma , papa ." This were the lines said by a mere 6 year old to the burning pyre of his parents . That one day changed everything in the life of the brothers . His tears died with the last flames of his parents burning body . He looked over two see his life line crying non stop , not knowing around him cause he was a toddler of 2 years . His senses told him that he was not going to see his mumma and papa again which made him cry arms . "What happened baby bhaiya is here !" he said ., the younger recognizing his brother smiled a harder . The elder one immediately went near him and picked him in his little and called out "DADA" , bhaiya seemed difficult to pronounce for him . He rested his head on the chest of his brother , wrapped arms around . According it was the safest place , the elder also smiled a little , and was determined enough to make his baby life perfect .

After 20 years

Location : Nigam Mansion

A boy around 26 years is seen sitting on the breakfast table waiting impatiently for the main person to come , so that they can have breakfast . The only thing in his mind "Where that Idiot is ?"It was already past 9 'o' clock . When a maid came running to him .

Maid :Abhishek sir , Siddharth sir is still sleeping . I tried waking him up but he is not .

Abhi : Jeny relax , I will go and wake him up . This idiot is spoiling day by day .

Jenny : Ok sir ! { she bowed her head and went away }

Abhishek Nigam , the elder son of Mr and Mrs. Nigam . He is one of the youngest business man of India who achieved many heights at very young age . His life only revolves around two things , his office and his lifeline - His younger brother . He is ruthless in the business world but an angle in disguise for others . He is a kind hearted and sweet person who always help others in need . For him his younger brother is everything , he never considered him (sid) being a responsibility to him but as his baby , his first child .

Moving on he went into the room of his brother , not expecting it to be clean it was the messiest room you could have ever witnessed . Books lying here and there , food packets , pizza boxes , video games , clothes some dumped in wardrobe and other on couch . Eww was his reaction , but a smile appeared on his face seeing his cute little brother .

There he lay on the bed THE SIDHARTH NIGAM , sleeping on his stomach , duvet covering his body while a leg outside it , slightly hanging on the bed . He chuckled seeing his condition . He slowly went and caressed his hair .

Abhi : kiddo wake up . Its already 9.

He received no response from the latter , he again tried this time siddharth put his head on his (abhi) lap , snuggling into him more . Abhi for some time caressed him and gave a last warning for him to wake up . As usual receiving deaf hears from his brother , he smacked the latter forehead waking him up . He (sid) woke up slowly rubbing his eyes , having a cute little pout on his face and grumbling something , umm its "HITLER " , Abhi who heard it again smacked his head , causing Sid to whelp in pain slightly .

Abhi worriedly went towards him, " what happened chote ? I am so sorry !"

Sid : Arey it's nothing dada , I was just playing around .

Abhi : Badmash , now go and get ready . I am waiting for breakfast .

Sid : ok.

Siddharth and Abhishek are poles apart Siddharth is the rich spoilt brat , rude and arrogant who enjoys with his brother's money . He have any specific aim in his life except to party till late night and get drunken . Abhi always filled Sid's wishes even before he even asks him and pampered him a lot which resulted this behaviour of Siddharth but he can't say anything to his kiddo as he can't see any tears in his eyes .

Siddharth came down looking handsome like his brother .The maid served the breakfast from for both of them .Both started having breakfast .Siddharth was playing with his mobile and eating which irked Abhishek.

Abhi : Kidoo ! I need to talk with you .

Sid : Yeah Dada say ! (Still in Mobile )

Abhi : Siddharth look at me while I am speaking . (cold tone)

Sid : yep dada !

Abhi : what you wanna do further ?

Sid : umm for now I wanna sleep after you going .

Abhi : not like that up your future plans .

Sid : When my dada is here , why do I need to worry about my future.

Abhi: I will always not be with you Sid .

Sid : will you also leave me ? Like mumma and papa (moist eyes )

Sid might be rude and arrogant for others but to his dada he is a small baby . His biggest fear is to lose his brother.Abhi who was melted with his tears , went and hugged him .

Abhi : Not like that baby , you must be responsible now , you need to stand on your own feet and achieve something. Partying and all gives fun for only sometime and all those who are with you are for your money only . If you don't have money , they will leave you . I am not saying you to not enjoy but you need to settle first in your life.

Sid : ok dada !

At Night at 1 :00 pm

Abhishek was pacing in his room here and there , Siddharth did not return home till now .He was scared , each passing second is increasing tension in him . Suddenly he received a call . It was from an unknown number . His hands were shivering to pick up .He felt the history was repeating , the unknown call he got when his parents died was giving the same vibes now.He picked up the call , what the person told shocked him to the core .He immediately drove to the place , where he saw Sid in lock up . Oh yes his brother was arrested .

Abhi : Excuse me sir ,why you arrested my brother ?

Police : Oh my god Mr. Abhishek Nigam you are here ? I am sorry  for arresting your brother. But we are doing the job we are supposed to .

Abhi : It's ok sir , you were doing your job i understand, but what did he do ?

Police : Sir it was actually drink and drive cause sir , he (pointing Sid ) was driving the car rashly , when police stopped him , he harassed us and even slapped one of men . He tried to bribe us also sir .

Abhi : I am so sorry sir instead of him. But please sir leave him , he don't know anything, I will see it will not repeat it again.

Police : No sir we need to proceed him to the court.

Abhi : Sir please , I take good care of him .

Abhishek literally begged the police officers to leave Siddharth finally they agreed . Siddharth was now guilty seeing his brown in that state , Abhi just dragged him towards the car and took him home . After reaching there ,he slapped Siddharth . He gasped feeling the pain and put a hand on his cheek .

Abhi : Why did you do it , I am ashamed of you Siddharth , how could you actually slap a police officer . It's because of your so called The Abhishek Nigam s brother identity ? Why ? *shouted *

Sid : I am sorry !

Abhi : No no ,you should not be sorry , it should be me . I am sorry for always thinking about you and caring all your wishes but what did you do in return, drinking and driving and having a argument with police officers , you know i am ashamed to ask them to leave you .

Sid : I am sorry dada .

Abhi : not now Siddharth.

He furiously went and brought two bags packed and threw at Siddharth.

Abhi : you know what just leave from here and don't enter still you prove yourself worthy . The world should know you ,TheSiddharth Nigam not as Abhishek Nigam's Brother .If you want my forgiven prove me yourself .

Sid : No dada , I will not leave you , I will prove myself but I will not go away from here . ( feared voice )

Abhi : Siddharth don't make me more angry , if you don't wanna go don't go but remember if it's case for your brother is dead .You can go tomorrow morning

Saying this he left , Siddharth fell on his knees and started crying.He was guilty to an extent like deep down to the sea . From them sleep was far away .The next morning Abhishek came down to see an empty room , he did not fine Siddharth any where , he searched whole house .He found a small note from Siddharth stating that he left . He was regretting as he was said more last night but it was necessary to make his brother understand life .He went to his parents room to get some peace .

Abhi : I am so sorry mumma , papa I could not keep up my promise but yesterday when I got to know he was drinking and driving it scared the shit out of me . What if he had a accident? I can't afford to loose him . I am so sorry .

He was hugging a photo of Sid and crying.

After 1 year

This 12 months were not less than a hell for both the brothers . They both used to miss each other a lot , especially Siddharth his dada his everything was not there with him to guide him and mentor him . Siddharth actually took a rent house to live , it was only a single bedroom with attached kitchen , earlier he used to laugh that those people now he was in same condition .

He did not get the job immediately,he took him nearly a month to get a one . He used to only get a full meal once a day by doing part time jobs that too , people in his locality were so friendly and treated Sid as his own son . They helped him . Abhishek had always had a eye on his brother , he was blaming himself for the condition of his brother . He also used to skip his meals and became gloomy without his brother .

There home was incomplete , the house filled with Siddharth's laugh and cute bickering made him feel incomplete . He was happy when he got to know Siddharth got a job , when Sid was not there at his home he would go and visit it and leave some money for him , which Sid never bothered to notice them .

Slowly Siddharth also started climbing the stairs of success with the money he saved and loan he took from bank he opened a small startup , it was successful and many big companies are willing to work with his company. From an arrogant man he changed into sweet Siddharth, he often donated money to poor people and helped others . Even he apologised to the police officer he bet and aided him financially. Today he was an important day to him , as his having an important deal to crack, if it's settled he can became a big business man . He nervously entered into the office .

The board of directors were present, did I forgot to mention the deal is with Owner of Nigam Enterprises, I mean with his brother only ? Ok so he patiently presented the deal to them , all we're impressed and clapped their hands . Abhishek felt super proud to see his brother like that . He just nodded his head and went away controlling his happy tears .

Siddharth was sad that his dada did not even talk to him now also . He was thinking he did not forgive him still now . he dejectedly went home , only to witness it being decorated beautifully with happy birthday balloons hanging on the wall . He was surprised to see his colleges and best friend Avneet there . They cut the cake and feed each other , but our hero was still sad cause his dada was not there with him .

He was fake smiling for his friends . Then he heard a voice .He turned to see his life line there

Abhi : Fake smile doesn't suit you Ashu .

Siddharth immediately went and hugged tightly indicating his fear , Abhi also hugged him back chuckling  . After few minutes he felt his shirt getting wet , he saw Sid sobbing badly and repeatedly saying sorry ! Abhi was caressing his hair .

Sid : I am sorry dada , pls don't be angry with me .

Abhi : why will I be angry with my baby ? I am proud of you bacha

Siddharth again hugged him and snuggled into his chest .

Abhi : come now let's go home and I am also sorry you need to suffer because of me .

Siddharth: no dada , don't say like that . You did for my betterment . I am sorry because me that day

Abhi (cutting him ) : shhhh ...leave let's go home ....now the world needs to know the CEO of Nigam enterprises

Sid: no dada , I will take care of my company with my friends .

Abhi : but

Sid : please , when I will be ready I will take care of it .

Abhi : ok baby ! Come we need to party.......l

Sid jumped on Abhi's back , finally he got his dada back while Abhi got his brother his love , his baby . These both brothers are epitome of brotherhood, they support each other and always have each other's back . After few years both sidshhek company merged named AS GROUP OF COMPANIES. Both were settled and married their loves Avneet and Vaishnavi respectively . They both are sisters and always supported sidshek .But nevertheless for Abhi Sid will be his first priority and love and same goes with Sid also .
