Jonah's POV

The bell rang, math class was over finally. I quickly grab all my things and try to quickly walk past the teacher but he catches me.

"Jonah can I speak to you?" I stop in my tracks and I quickly turn around to face Mr.Green "I spoke to Cyrus before break and he said he was willing to tutor you, because you're not doing so good in my class"

Really? I thought an F was a passing grade. I roll my eyes.

"Is there a problem Mr.Beck?" Mr.Green crosses his arms trying to intimidate me, I assume.

I shake my head no and I quickly turn around walking out of there, jumping back slightly when I catch Cyrus waiting next to the door with a big cheesy grin on his face. "So my place or yours?"

I point towards me indicating my place.

"Okay, no need to give me your address I remember where you live. Again not trying to be a stalker or anything"

We walk in silence until Cyrus speaks again "Do you want to sit with me at lunch?"

I shake my head no and his smile slowly disappears.

"Okay that's fine. Can I at least get your number, so I can text you later?" Cyrus pulls a pen out his pocket and I write my number on his arm.

"Oooh Bicycle gettin' them digits" Derek one of Jason's friends teases as he walks by me.

"Do you like it when people call you that?"

I shake my head.

"Then why do you let them?"

I look straight down to my shoes, I don't know if you've noticed Cyrus but I can't really talk to people until I can fully trust them. I begin to stutter if you forgot our conversation in the bathroom earlier today. Also aren't you the one who called me shy and cute? I think you should know why I can't stop telling those guys to stop calling me Bicycle.

"I'll come around to your house at five, see you later" Cyrus sighs and walks off.

I sit down next to my favorite tree at lunch, just watching as the other kids walk by.

I come here everyday, well not really I used to eat in the library but Jason and his friends found me. So now I just sit under this tree, I don't even bother buying lunch or packing my own it's gonna get wasted anyway. So why bother?

"Bicycle! Long time no see" Jason and his friends walk over to me.

Long time no see? It wasn't long enough.

"So you found you a new lunch spot I see, smart choice there's witnesses and a teacher can walk by at anytime" Derek says.

I just stare at the two boys and I watch as Leo just stands there like he always does, he isn't like Derek and Jason. He stands there quietly the whole time, just looking back at me with a smile that says "I'm sorry" he's Jason's twin brother so I guess he just stands with him, even if he knows it's wrong to bully people in any type of way.

"Alright catch you later" Jason waves as he walks laughing with the other two.

"Hey do you know Buffy?" I hear Cyrus's voice but I don't see him. "Over here"

I turn my head to see Cyrus poking his head out from the other side of the tree.

"May I join you? You know what I'll just sit" He sits down next to me. "So Buffy is having a party this weekend to celebrate her 16th birthday. Wanna come?"

You see I would love to, but parties aren't my thing. It makes me uncomfortable being shoved around by a lot of drunk and sweaty teenagers.

I shake my head no to answer his question.

"Oh come on it'll be fun" He pushes.

I continue to shake my head no.

"Okay I'll just force you to go" Cyrus looks at me with a big smile on his face I can't help but to smile back. "I got you to smile, yay!"

"Cyrus there you are. Hey Bicycle" Buffy greets me.

"He doesn't like to ba called that" Cyrus says.

"Oh sorry, I just assumed since a lot of people called you that. Why do they call you that?"

"He's bisexual, remember?"

"Oh yeah. To be honest, what Amber did was wrong, she should've let you come out by yourself" Buffy kneels down in front of us.

"Where's Andi?" Cyrus ask.

"I don't know, we went separate ways looking for you" She shrugs.

"Oh by the way, Jonah said he'll come to your party"

Jonah didn't say anything, Jonah is being forced against his will to go to the party.

"Great" Buffy flashes me a smile and I stare back at her "A lot of people are going to be there, my parents are gonna be out this weekend"

What did I let Cyrus get me into?

I sit down on the floor in my room with my books scattered all over the floor and Cyrus sits with his legs cross studying the paper in his hands. "Okay so first what do you do?" Cyrus hands me the paper and I look at it shrugging my shoulders.

Cyrus sighs "Alright then, so first you do what's in the parentheses"

I look at the numbers and letter and I look back at him with a confused look on my face. "Any-Anyhting...easier?" I whisper out.

"This is the easiest thing, okay so first you do this" He takes the paper away from me and before you know it he did my homework for me.

"T-th-thanks"

"Thanks?" He looks at me confused than back to the paper "Oops, I didn't mean to do your homework"

I'm not complaining.

"JONAH I'M HOME!" My mom yells.

"OKAY!" I yell back and I turn to see Cyrus staring at me with a shocked face.

"Oh so you're just shy around everyone else?" Cyrus stands.

I nod, basically yeah.

Cyrus begins walking out of my room "I want to meet your mom I like meeting people's parents"

I stand up quickly following him.

"Hi Jonah's mom" Cyrus greets.

"Oh hello, you caught me by surprise there. Jonah never has anyone over" Then she whispers "He's a loner"

Cyrus laughs "Don't worry he won't be a loner for long, he has me now" Cyrus smiles at me and I smile at him back. "That's the second time I made him smile today, I am on fire"

I can't help but smile when he smiles, it's like contagious or something.

"Well my name is Susan, it's nice to meet you..."

"Cyrus" He finishes for her.

"Cyrus, okay you boys don't get into to much trouble I'll be in my room if you need me" My mom picks up all her folders filled with paperwork off the counter and she heads off to her room.

"She seems nice" Cyrus says and I just nod my head in agreement "Oh so now you're quiet again? You literally just yelled when your mom came in"

Well it's easy for me talk to her, she's kind of been with me since the day I was born. I mean she is the one who gave birth to me.

"Don't worry I'll help you out of your shy shell" Cyrus pats my shoulder and I tense a bit at the sudden gesture, but thankfully he didn't notice. "I'll go get my things and I'll be on my way" he walks past me and back towards my room and I stand in my same spot waiting for him to come back.

"See you later Jonah" I wave good bye to Cyrus and he slings his book bag over his shoulder leaving.

The last three days went by smoothly well except today. Today is just not my day not only did Jason and Derek shove my face into a locker causing my nose to bruise but they made me fail my math test too. Apparently I was cheating when I bent down to grab my pencil that Jason flicked off my desk, according to Derek who sat close by said I did it on purpose and of course the teacher believed them.

Like how immature can you be? I never did anything wrong to them but they still treat me like the broken glass you just walk over when your walking down the street. When you're wearing shoes obviously, I don't want them getting there blood all over my glass shards and if there is blood it's usually my own from how bad they treat me.

"Dude?" Cyrus snaps me out of my trance and I look at the area around my closet in horror, there are clothes everywhere. "You have absolutely nothing to wear, all your clothes say 'hey look at me I'm lonely' I guess the outfit your wearing is gone have to do. Also sorry about the mess I'll clean it up when we get back for our sleepover"

I arch my eyebrow at him, sleepover?

"I forgot to tell you, I arranged for my self to stay here. Don't worry I already asked your mom she was so happy to know you were having a friend stay over"

Yeah Jonah's mom name is Susan in this Jyrus book only because I couldn't think of another name and this is the only one that popped into my mind.
