Chapter 18-History

Alec P.O.V:
Ash wasn't ever a friend. Never has been and never will be. And guess what? He's the alpha of another pack. So as soon as he sees my Luna, he of course wanted to have a look. If he wanted Hayley, I would probably kill him. No way was I letting Hayley go to a creep like him.
"Where have you seen him?" I ask. She shakes her head, and shrugs her shoulders. It was hard to focus when there was such a pretty sight in front of me. I could tell that Hayley was self conscious, because she thought that she wasn't pretty enough, or 'good enough'.
"He was with my uncle one time.... he only came in like 2 times in my life, and then he left." Hayley says, grabbing part of her dress and fiddling with it. There was something about the way that he remembered him that made me really suspicious. What if he did something to her?
"Are you sure it was him?" I ask, hoping that it wasn't. If it was Ash, then that meant she was in big trouble. She would never ever let a memory slip her solid mind, and I knew that. So if she told me that she saw him, I know she did. If her uncle was associated with Ash, that could possibly mean that her uncle was a werewolf.
"Positive." She says. I nod, and look away from her. No way. Ash could of been watching her all that time, and I would of never known. What if he's the guy sending all those notes?

"Can you go to the car for a second?" I ask. She nods, and heads towards the car. I could tell she was really bummed that I had asked her to leave, but I needed to talk to Ash.
I run into the school hall, and see Ash near the exit. It was almost as if he had decided to just wait, because he knew I would be there.

I ran over to him, like he was killing someone, and he noticed me straight away. An annoyed look passes his face, but it passes as he realises that Hayley wasn't near me.
He rushes over to me, and I could see he wanted Hayley to be there. So when he reached me, he grabbed my arm, and dragged me at a not so crowded place in the hall.
"Where is she?" He asks, sniffing around. I look at his hands, and see that they were clenched into fists. No way. He can't of. No. He has not imprinted on my Luna. No way.
"Don't worry. Your Luna is still safe. I won't touch her. But can you give her this?" He says, handing me a necklace. It was a locket, and it had intricate detail. The outline of a flower was at the front, and the back there were initials. H.F. Hayley Fields.
"Why should I give her this?" I ask. He chickles to himself, and looks at the necklace.
"It was her mother's. I was told to give it to her. Now I must go." He says. I grab his shoulder, and do a hard grip. No way was he leaving that early.
"Why does she need this?" I ask. He shakes his rad, and lets out one lonely laugh.
"You don't know anything about her," he says, noticing my grip on his shoulder tightening. "So why don't you look at the pictures inside, and you'll find out?" He says. I look down at the necklace, and that there was one photo on each side. It was a picture of a baby, and two parents. A mum and dad. Her mum and dad. The other picture was of... Noah? Why would Noah be here? She didn't even know he existed weeks ago. This must be a joke. Why else would she need this necklace?
"I'm not giving it to her." I say. He nods, and frowns.
"It's your choice. But think in 10 years time, and she finds out you had it, what will she feel? She'll feel like you lied to her. And she'll never forgive you." He says to me, frowning. He breaks out of my grasp, and literally disappears. The weird thing was, that he was an alpha, and he never ever listened to people that way. So who ever told him to give her this, it must be from someone important.

I didn't want to give it to her, but then if it was her mother's, and she didn't have anything, then she might want it. I'll give her a choice, and if she doesn't want it, so be it. To be honest, I didn't trust Ash at all, but I did trust Hayley.

I could see her waiting in the car, probably bored out of her mind. As soon as she saw me coming, she smiled. I could tell that when I was away, she was probably as scared as a cat crossing the road. It was all on her face expression. The way her eyes were creased at the corners, and the way, when she smiled, it was more of a smile from relief.

"Hey." I say, getting into the car.
"Hey."

Since the bond had officially been confirmed between us being mates, I needed to tell her. I wouldn't tell her now, because that would mean I could ruin her night if she took it the wrong way.

She opens her car door, and surprises me. She starts to dance.
"You know I probably look stupid doing it by myself." She says, just loud enough for me to hear. I chuckle to myself, and get out to join her.
"Why-" I start, but she stops me.
"I know I look stupid. But I don't care." She says. I laugh, and she laughs with me. I grab her hand, and bring her close to me, I could hear her heartbeat quicken.
"I didn't think you looked 'stupid'. I thought you looked like a natural dancer." I say. She looks down at our feet, and I could see that my comment had made her smile.
"Thank you." She says.

For the rest of the next hour, we were dancing, and laughing. I could tell she was getting tired, and she would probably fall asleep in the car. But I didn't care to much, because I was right. She did fall asleep in the car. And I knew it before she did. The mate bond was getting stronger, and I knew I would have to tell her, whether I like it or not.

What did you think? Is it okay? Anyway, yesterday was such a bad day day for me, so I had to escape reality with this. I'm sorry if it isn't good enough♡
