"It's funny how the smallest acts can have the biggest effects"

He took another sip of his coffee as he stared at the monitor. Studying the scenery on it, he pressed a few buttons. Click. Click. Click.
A glimpse at his watch told him that his workday soon would be over.  Luckily. Not that he disliked his job, no, but today was Friday and he looked forward to spending the weekend with his family. A smile appeared on his face as he thought of his beautiful wife and their two young children. Maybe they could go to the cinema together this evening or....no, he could plan that later on. Now he was still at work and needed to focus. Click.Click.Click. Just soon he would be home to-
Click. His thoughts had drifted away again. Staring at the monitor, he saw the undeniable truth: He had made a mistake. One click at the wrong time. And that so short before the work day was over. What would his boss think now? His job carried a big responsibility, he knew it. Sweat started to run down his face, as a scenery of course consequences rushed through his head, one worse than the other.
"No", he then suddenly told himself. He was clearly overacting.
A tiny mistake, so what? Those things did happen. Just a prove he was human. He was not the first and not the only one. Click. Click. Overall he could be satisfied with his job. So many sucesses against one slight failure.  And sure his boss would think the same. Click.
The numbers on his watch jumped to 5:00. Weekend, finally. It was time for the next shift to take over.
As he left his workplace and headed towards the weekend with every step, he had alreday forgotten about his mistake. After all, it had just been an average work day as a drone pilot.

~A/N if you read the whole thing until here- congratulations. I know the story is boring und weird until the last sentence, but I wanted to try something like that. The result of me having politics class and then thinking too much. {This story is fictional, obviously, and probably tapering, but the articles aren't. Sorry, I wish I could say otherwise.}
What's your opinion about this, anyway? I am quite curios to be honest.
