Studies on Humanity, Part II
This world, without love, is a lost world
~Camus
Maybe we all have a certain spot in our heart that is reserved for another human. And our heart is just waiting for them to come and take it. Sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. Sometimes the humans change. Sometimes they stay forever, till our hearts final beat.
But maybe if it has to wait for to long it gets impatient. Maybe if it stayed empty for too much time our heart just need to be filled. And it's start to complain. At night when you can't sleep. In the morning, when you wake up alone again. In the lunch break, when you see all those kissing couples in the park. And you? All you would want is to silence it. To make it shut up again.
A lot of people feel this way, I guess. So they try to fill it differently. With power, or money. Which is completely useless, of course. Like throwing money on a field that was made for flowers. It won't stay there, but being blown away by the wind. It's the same with your heart. You would might trick it for a moment, but not for long. It would complain again, even louder than before.
And that is the point where people get desperate, and reach for more and more money to silence their heart with. More and more money they throw on the field. And the sad thing is that like this, soon the ground is coverd, and the sun has no change to reach the flowers anymore that, with just a little bit of care, could have grown there. That's when the heart becomes more and more quite, and finally chokes on the banknotes while.letting out one last silent scream . It becomes utterly numb, and even though it is still beating, and the human it belongs to is still breathing, they aren't living anymore.
Just existing, functioning out of habit and duty.
~@Brain why? Why do you think that this would be a good idea to come up with? Does this even make any sense at all? Please let me know in the comments! ✌~
