Previous chapteR: numb. TWO CHAPTER UPDATE!

I looked around and saw sand and water everywhere. I stood speechless as I stared at the scene in front of me. He handed me a cute halter bathing suit that was a baby pink with white diamonds on it. The halter strap was thin and purple. I stood in awe at it, failing to realize the fact that it had been worn before me. I quickly ran to the bathroom and changed into it. I saw Leo grin at me as I walked towards him again. I ran and jumped into his arms, hugging him for the cute swimsuit. I started running into the water. It was still morning and people were still everywhere. Leo chased after me and splashed we kept splashing each other with water.

"I have to go use the restroom," Leo laughed over the splashes. I nodded.

"Gun is in the backpack," he whispers and I laughed. Seriously?! Why would anything happen now of all days? Leo had left when I saw a cute boy coming towards me. He was cute, Leo was hot! I mentally compared the two. He had black hair as opposed to Leo's brown and fair skin as opposed to Leo's tan. He was a little shorter and less built than Leo. His eyes, not as calculating and cold. They were warm and friendly.

"Hey, I'm Cole. What is a pretty girl like you doing at the beach alone?" He says as he walks up to me. I look behind me, trying to make sure he is talking to me. No way. Why would a guy like him be interested in me? Him or Leo for that matter. 

"I'm talking to you little brunette," He chuckled.

"I'm not little!" I huffed once I realized he was talking to me. 

"No, just 7 inches shorter than me," He responded as I rolled my eyes.

"Do I get a name? I think it would be kind of weird for you to know my name and me not to know yours," He continued.

"Elaina, but you can call me Ellie.  Also, I am with someone. He has gone to the bathroom," I responded. I don't know why but something felt wrong. Not about this guy, but something. I looked behind him and saw two tall and built guys. I noticed their hands were behind their backs and their posture rigid. Interesting.

"Hey Cole, can you come with me for a second," I responded I knew that they probably saw Cole and I together and I could not let an innocent guy die because of me. So I pretended to play the damsel in distress.

"I am scared," I responded and he chuckled, but followed me regardless. I looked in Leo's bag and found his phone light up. I decided to use it as a flashlight. Unfortunately for me, to access the flashlight, I had to unlock his phone. Luckily for me, his phone was unlocked. Seriously could this guy be any more careless? Then what I saw broke my heart. I could hear it cracking.

Leo: I love you, Angel💕 

WTF?! Who the fuck was Angel and why did Leo say he loves her?! I could hear my heart continuously breaking and feel tears streaming down my eyes. I felt Cole wrap his arms around me.

"Please tell me he calls you Angel," Cole responded, probably already knowing the answer. I shook my head in response. Snap out of it, Ellie. Bad guys first. I reached for the gun and pulled it out. I saw Cole's eyes go wide at it. I dropped the phone in and looked back up at Cole grinning.

"Cole, I swear it is not what it seems. Listen, we are being attacked right now. The men behind us. They are after us. Just follow me, please," I responded fake giggling and twirling my hair to make it seem as though I had not heard them.

"Pretend to flirt back, we cannot let them know we know," I responded and he hesitantly did so.

"I have no reason to hurt you, now follow me," I responded. We both headed towards the entrance fo the beach and I saw the guys following us.

"Do you have a car?" I asked and he slowly nodded and gulped. 

"When I say go, make a break for it. I am going to joing you. We can both make it out alive," I responded, but he looked uncertain.

"How can I trust you," His voice quivered.

"I could have killed you then and there in the water and pretended you drowned if I wanted to. Not that I do," I responded and he nodded, still unsure.

"GO!" I yelled. He ran and I ran behind him. We made it to his car, but so  did the guys following us.

"DRIVE!" I yelled. He drove semi-fast, but not fast enough. I stuck my head out of the back window and shot their tires. The guys spun off as Cole continued speeding. As soon as they lost us, the questions started rolling in.

"What the fuck was that, Ellie. If that is even your name?! I could have died!" He yelled, inching away from me.

"Firstly, I'm sorry. I did not know that would happen," I responded sincerely.

"I think those guys were in a rival gang, I am not sure. I just joined the gang. You must understand, it was never my choice. This life. I....I....I was forced." I looked down.

"I...I...I trust you," He responded, "No one can fake the emotions when you said that. I am guessing a fresh wound?" I nodded slowly.

"Y...Yeah," I choked.

"It is still not safe for us, follow the directions I give you," I responded, directing him to our hideout. Not the best idea, but years into the business, you can kind of tell who is part of it. Plus, it is kind of hard to fake that surprise. Once we reach, I see the boys staring at me like I just got back together with Ben.

"WHO IS HE AND WHERE IS LEO, I SWEAR IF YOU ARE ALREADY CHEAT-" I cut them off.

"We were attacked," I responded and they nodded.

"Civilian," I added.

"Ellie, it was dangerous bringing him here!" Dylan exclaimed.

"No one can fake the surprise he did when he saw me pull out a gun," I responded. Mi ran to me and hugged me. I gave her a look saying I would tell her in a few seconds as she looked at the boy and my tear-filed eyes.

"Cole, this is Jayden or Jade, Jake or Jay, Alec or Al, Jace or Ace, Dylan or Dyl, and Naomi or Mi," I pointed at them all. 

"Now excuse us, Mi and I have business to take care of," I responded, running up the stairs with Mi. When we reached up, I let it all out in front of Mi.

"What happened?!" She asked and I told her everything.

"Oh my god! The clothes, The curler they must have all been hers. Don't tell him you know yet. Give him the silent treatment until he breaks. Break his non-existent heart until it becomes existent!" She growl/yells. I slowly nod, knowing I would never be able to be so cruel. I keep crying on Mi's shoulder until I hear the door open again.

"IS ELLIE HERE! AND WHO THE FUCK IS HE?!" I hear a voice that only could belong to one person. Leo. He is here. And I don't know how to face him.
