I'm Coming home

ELLIE:

Today is the first day back at school and it is safe to say I feel so out of place. It feels like the world moved on without me and it is time for me to catch up. I drove there with Leo today and it is safe to say that everyone is staring at me. I was actually feeling uncomfortable. I could practically hear Naomi say, Seriously Ellie, you fight off gangs and this is what makes you uncomfortable? I chuckled at the thought. Feeling a bit more confident, I walk through the vaguely familiar doors. I felt Leo's precence near me and the warmth of a hand. I looked up to see his familiar face as he looked down and smiled at me. Just as I walked in I was met with the plastics. Yeah those girls I met the first day I walked in with Leo. The leader took one look at my hand in Leo's and I swear I could see fumes. Her name was Savanah, I think. Suddenly I was attacked by a group of people.

"ELLLAINAAA! WERE THE FUCK WERE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU HOLDING LEO'S HAND?!" I heard Lexi scream

"LEXI, JASMINE, LEO, COLE MATHEW, GRIFFIN!" I screamed and hugged all of them.

"Ellie, I am glad you are back, but call me mathew one more time and I will be the reason you dissapear for a second time," Matt huffs.

"Sure, like Griff would let that happen," Lexi giggled.

"I could never let anything happen to my little Ellie," Griff laughed, but for some reason, he emphasised my and glared at Leo. Meh probz his big brother protective side going into over drive. It sure as hell worked, I could feel Leo tensing.

"I am so sorry about your father," Matt replied.

"My fa- Oh yah, I...I......yah," The real incidents of my father's death came back. It was just before Ben and I started dating. He died because of cancer and I realized life was too short to waste. Daddy. I felt the tears streaming down my face.

"How? How did he die?" Leo leaned down to my hear and whispered. I could feel his warm breath on my ears and tingles. Since when did that happen?

"Cancer, freshman year," I whispered back and he slowly nodded his head. I knew that he knew my father died since he could see the tears and no one can fake tears like real ones, fake pain like real ones. We are both trained to look for little details. It is how we both survived.

"Ellie, how about I walk you to gym?" I heard Griff ask. I nodded slowly. It felt good to finally be in school, as much as I hate to admit it. School makes my problems seem far less problematic. I still haven't forgoten the 1 billion dollar price tag on my head.

"Actually, Gargoyle, I think Ellie would much rather hang out with me," Leo glared at Griff. Erm...help?!

"Actually Gargoyle and Leapord Ellie is coming with us. Chicks before d-" Lexi started, but Jasmine cut her off.

"LEXI! But yah, Ellie is coming with us," She continued as Lexi dragged me off.

"So girlie, you and Leo?" Lexi asked, "I ship it!"

"No way, her and Griff are much better!" Jasmine answered and I swear if I had water I would do a spit take.

"What! Griffin?!" I semi-yelled.

"Yeah girlie, did you see the way he was glaring at Leo and how he wanted to walk you?" Jas asked.

"Yeah, Griff is protective like a brother and probably wanted me to fill me in," I responded.

"Suuuuure, which is why he was looking at your lips when you walked in," Lexi responded as I rolled my eyes as the comment.

"So spill, you and Leo," Lexi squealed.

"Well, I guess when my father died, Leo was there to comfort me and that is when I realized I liked him. Later he asked me on a date and we went to the beach," I kind of sort of truthfully told. Kinda sorta being 1 % truth 97% hiding the truth, and 2 % lie.

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!" Lexi squealed as we entered the girl's locker rooms. Thankfully practically no one was there.

It was lunch and I was seated with Leo's gang and my friend group. I also added the guys to the group chat. I sat next to the right of Leo, who had his arms drapped around me, and to the left of Griff. My group was talking about some party and the Venns were talking about cars. I sat there fiddlign with my shirt until Griff realized I was not talking to anyone.

"So Ellie, how serious are you and Leo?" Griff asked.

LEO POV:

"So Ellie, how serious are you and Leo?" Griff asked.

I immediately left our discussion on Formula One cars and tightened my arm around Ellie. Can you blame me? The guy liked my girl! He even had the audacity to call her his!

"Very serious," I growl back in response. I can see Ellie looking at me with confusion, but I continue glaring at Griff.

"I asked Ellie, not you," Griff growled back in response. THAT FUCKING BASTARD IS TRYING TO STEAL MY ELLIE!

"Yeah, we are pretty serious. Please don't go all brother on him, I know you are like my brother, but I really like him," She nervously fiddles with the hem of her shirt. So that is why she let him flirt with her. He has her thinking that he sees her like a brother. I see hurt flash through his eyes.

"Yeah, you are her brother. She likes me," I respond, not even looking at Ellie.

"LEO!" I hear Ellie scold and she looks adorable doing so. Like a little squirrel trying to scare away a lion.

"What?" I pout down at her playfully.

"Be nice," She crosses her arms and all I can do is look at her fully pink lips. She is not wearing any make up and I love that. Her natural face looks the best and she does not need to attract any more guys.

"But he was being mean first," I pouted.

"Oh yah? How?" She responded saying exactly what I knew she would. I smirked and looked up at Griff whose eyes went wide as soon as he realized what I was gonna do.

"He is trying to steal my girl," I outed him as I possesively wrapped my arms around her and kissed the top of her brown hair.

"Cliff hanger dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnnnn"
