21: Stolen

When my eyelids flickered open in some unknown location, I stared around the unfamiliar room.
When I tried to move, I realised that my hands were tied at my back.
"No, no, no, this can't be happening." I murmured sitting up on the bouncy bed with brown colour.
"Yay, you woke up." Charlie's unenthusiastic voice pulls me from my panicking.
"Where are we?" I ask stupidly.
He rolls his eyes. "Somewhere on earth or maybe hell."
Like mine, his arms are also tied behind his back.
The realisation of our situation hit me hard. We were kidnapped.
Heck!
"It's my fault. I'm sorry, Charlie."
His eyes soften and he scoots over till our shoulders are touching. "No, it's not your fault, Hazel. Blame the monsters that took us."
"Monsters? Jeez, is that how low you think of me?" The door was swung open and standing at the entrance is Levi.
Shawn was right, dad was right. They were right about him.
"Don't you have better things to do than eavesdrop? Get a life." I growl, annoyed that I trusted him. We trusted him.
Levi smirks. "I have better things to do. And that's making sure you pay for your dad's mistake."
"At least, I have a dad. Unlike you." I retort, watching his eyes darken with rage.
He storms across the room and wraps his hand around my neck. "Shut up, you piece of shit."
Charlie. There's no much he can do with his hands tied but he kicks at Levi until Levi releases me and I desperately breathe in air.
"You're a sick bastard." Charlie spat, anger flashing in his eyes.
"And a coward." I added.
Levi was about charging at us again when a dominant figure enters the room.
"That's not how we treat guests, son."
The shocking thing about the six-foot male wasn't that he called Levi his son but that he looked exactly like my dad. Same eyes, same chiseled face, same colour of hair even though his was slightly tousled.
There was no doubting this was my father's brother.
"Peter?" I called out, hoping no one noticed how my breaths became unstable.
He grinned. "You're a smart one, niece. How did you figure it out."
I snorted. "You look just like my dad."
He shrugged. "This would have been a lovely family reunion but I'm afraid, we've got work to do."
There was something frightening about the way he looked at me and Charlie.
Ever stared into a void before? That's how his eyes are.
Two men entered the room. Only then did I notice that Levi had slipped out.
"It's time to negotiate with my brother." He turned to one of the men that has an eyepatch over where e his left eye should be. "Put the bastard on the phone, Miller."
"How dare you call my father a bastard? You're nothing but a monster, you sick piece of shit." I spat, not surprised that the second man slapped me hard on my face that it sent me flying out of the bed.
"Watch your tongue, niece. I do not treat brats nicely." Peter beamed at me.
Charlie rolled over. "Hey. Don't say much again. He'll only hit you." He whispered.
I nodded, fighting the pain that shot through my body. "What do you want, uncle?"
"We're about to go for coffee with your dad, niece."

The twisted monster had his men blindfold us and they shoved us into a waiting vehicle. Charlie snuck his hand into mine and squeezed.
I had to try and stay calm even though my nerves were a mess.
What sort of negotiation did he want?
To get my mother back?
Mom told me the stories of how she dated dad's brother in the past, how he turned into some psychopath and killed her sister on her wedding day.
He disappeared.
No one had seen him until now. Twenty three years later.
Why did he return?
I sincerely hope no one gets hurt again.
Heavy metal blasted through the stereo as the car moved ahead.
"Gosh! I feel like my ears are about to bleed out." I groaned, hitting my head against the backseat.
I'd rather read a Wattpad cringe story about Pennywise the creepy clown in a twisted romance with the reader, rather than this shit.
Someone chuckled. "Sorry, princessa, I thought you were actually into this kind of stuff."
I snorted. "Can you just turn it down or something?"
I'm surprised they actually complied until...
"But there are other stuff I could show you, if you don't mind, if you get what I mean?"
I was filled with the urge to throw up. On their face, if possible.
"You sick fuck, she's only seventeen." Charlie growled, completely disgusted as I was.
The man laughed. "And I was twelve when I had my first time with some-"
"-stop traumatising the kids, Logan." Someone interrupts him and I chuckle when a hand smacks against his skin.
"Ow! Miller, I was only stating facts." Logan grumbled.
"Keep your dirty facts to yourself. Ew!" I groan, wishing I could just throw myself out of the moving car.
"Stay there. You're missing a piece of this handsome daddy."
"Ewwww!" Charlie and I chorused leading to a wild burst of laughter in the car.
Ew! Ew! Ew! I'm definitely bleaching my ears out when I get out of this mess.

Dad had agreed to meet up with his estranged brother in a warehouse in some unknown location.
I could only hear few words exchanged and the scrape off shoes against the floor when we arrived.
"It's good to see you again, brother." I heard Peter say.
"This isn't a family reunion, Peter. State what you want and leave the kids out of this." Dad responded, sounding like he'd rather be somewhere else but here.
"You know what I want, brother."
Huh?
"There's no way in hell I'm letting you have her, idiot."
Her?
Who could that be?
There's only one reason I can put my hands on.
Mom.
He wants my mother.
"Then, you don't leave me with much choice."
I feel every drop of blood in me freeze when the cold metallic nozzle of a gun in pressed against my head.
"Prepare to die, Hazel."
I didn't see that coming at all 😦
Sorry, guys I've been focused on updating my other stories and also dealing with life.
