He looked at me for a few seconds before narrowing his eyes. "Okay" He said. "Than-" I said but he cut me off before I could finish. "Hey before we go, can you grab my hoodie from the back seat?" He asked me and I turned my body around to grab his hoodie but a shooting pain from my ribs made me stop and turn around taking a deep breath. "That's what I thought." Con said with a disapproving tone. "You did this on purpose." I said while holding my ribs and shooting daggers with my eyes at him. "No shit Sherlock , now pass me the keys" Con said while holding his hand out waiting for the keys. "Sometimes I really want to punch you in the face, you know that?" I said while handing him the keys and getting out of the car. "Yeah yeah I know, now stop acting like a child and get in the car" Con said.

The drive was about 10 minutes and it passed quickly but as the minutes were passing I was getting more and more nervous about the news. "We're here." Con said as he parked the car and turned off the engine I took a deep breath. "Sophia, everything is going to be fine, don't worry about anything I promise you I will be with you at all times." He said. "I know I know, I don't know why I'm nervous, it's a good thing they have news." I said. "Let's go champ." Con said smiling and we headed inside.

After we went inside we waited for the chief of the police to call us to his office. "Leila Holdge?" A man around his late fifties asked "Yes that's me." I said while I stood up shaking his hand. "It's really nice to meet you, please come in." he said after he shook hands with Conike. "Okay so we found out where she lives and we brought her in to ask her some questions about the accident" he said looking at me. "Apparently all she needed to give us information was to tell her we would give her back the drugs we found at her house." He said, rolling his eyes.

"So did you find out why she did it?" I asked. "Yes, after we convinced her we would give back her drugs she said to us that her boyfriend made her do it." He said. "Her boyfriend? Why would her boyfriend care about me?" I asked more confused. "Let me rephrase that, your ex boyfriend wanted her to hit you as a message." He said as I stood frozen. Jack. He did it because I refused to take him back. I felt a hand at my knee which was shaking like crazy. "Leila?" Con said to me looking at my eyes. "I- I- wh- I don't know what to say" I said still in shock. "You're sure it's her ex?" Con asked.

"Yes and let me tell you something, that man needs to be in jail , I've known him for a while because of his brother working in the police department." He said. "I've tried to get him in jail many times but his brother always took away every piece of evidence and without evidence nothing is possible in court," he continued. "But with the evidence we have from his beloved girlfriend and with your statement we can finally put him in jail for good" he said, making me exhale a huge breath o was holding. "You think we can do that? Like actually put him in jail?" I asked feeling a huge relief. "Yes I believe we have the power and the evidence to finally lock him up" He said

"Oh my god, oh my god Con I'm gonna be free" I said looking at him with tears in my eyes and a huge smile

"I told you Leila, the asshole is going down" He said smiling back at me

After our meeting with the police we left the police station and I felt like a huge weight has lifted of my shoulders. I never imagined my life would be like that. Scared to leave my house because of the person I fell in love with and living with my 4 best friends to be safe. Honestly I never though I would get away for Jack and that scared me because I want to move on and live my life without being scared and holding back. That night me and Con talked to the rest of the guys and told them the news and how we will be in court to end Jack in 2 weeks from now. We all feel extremely positive and we chose to stay like that until we know for sure Jack can no longer hurt me or anyone else

"Are you ready to go?" I asked Kat since we were going to lunch together after work. "Yes, let me grab my things." she said as she got up and grabbed her bag. "Okay let's go, I'm starving." Kat said. After we drove separately to our favourite restaurant we got inside and we ordered our lunch. "So how's everything going?" Kat asked me looking at me. "Everything is going good right now, me and the boys are doing good and they are great roommates and I'm hoping Jack will soon disappear from my life once and for all" I said to Kat.

"I'm so happy for you, you deserve to feel safe and happy Leila." She said to me genuinely, smiling at me. "Thank you." I said back. "But anyways no more Jack, tell me about your new boyfriend" I said to Kat as she visibly blushed. "Well he is in civil engineering and we met one month ago at the coffee shop near our school"she said smiling "honestly he is the nicest guy and we're doing really good right now, he is everything I've been looking for." She said,

"Awwww someone is in love, I'm so happy you found your prince Kat" I said to her. After a while our food came and we ate while we talked about school projects we had and gossiped about the school's stuff. As I was drinking some water I noticed that a man with a hat was sitting on the booth behind Katie for a long time without ordering something or doing anything particular. I tried not to freak out because it could be a coincidence but it was weird because he certainly wasn't waiting for someone because he was here almost thirty minutes and he looked as if he was listening to us all the time.

"Hey, um do you want to leave because I have some work I have to do." I said to Kat and she agreed. After we payed for our food we said goodbye and I got to my car to go home. Halfway though I noticed a car was following me so I made a right turn to confirm my suspicion. The car turned right. Don't panic I said to myself , maybe it's just s coincidence. So then I turned left. The car turned left too.

At this moment I started panicking so I decided that I'm not going home because it would be way too dangerous so I decided to go to the hospital. I picked up speed and tried losing the car but it didn't work so I started panicking even more. After 10 minutes I was finally at the hospital and without thinking I exited the car and ran to Luke's office..

As I was sitting and doing some paperwork in my office I heard my office door bang open and immediately looked up to see a very out of breath Sophia run inside and close the door with force. I quickly walked over to her and grabbed her face in an attempt to catch her attention because she was shaking like crazy and breathing hard and fast. "Leila look at me." I said as I took grabbed her face with both of my hands. She kept breathing hard and shaking without looking at me which worried me even more. "Leila, I need you to calm down." I said to her trying to make her listen to me but it was not working at all. I could see her breathing change and become shallow.

Leila put her hand to her chest and started hitting it causing me to take matter into my hands. I carefully hugged her and lowered her to the floor where I guided her to bring her knees up and put her head in between. "Leila takes slow deep breaths for me." I said as I stood up and went to the cabinet to grab an inhaler. I know how Leila acts when she has panic attacks and when her asthma hits her. Leila rarely has asthma attacks because her asthma isn't serious but right now she's having one and I know it. I quickly grab the inhaler and shake it before crouching down in-front of her and lift her head to place the inhaler on her lips.

Once she has the inhaler in her mouth I count to three. "On three Leila take a deep breath for me okay?" I say and she nods her head. "1,2,3 deep breath." I say as I push the medicine into her mouth. "That's it love, I'm here just try and calm down for now." I say as I guide her head back in between her knees while rubbing circles on her back. At the same moment Liam walked in and saw what was happening immediately worried about taking over his face. He looked at me and mouthed. "What happened?"

"I don't know," I said back to him. Liam crouched beside me and started taking her pulse. For a minute we all sat there Leila trying to control her breathing, Liam checking her pulse and me rubbing circles on her back while checking her breathing. After a while Leila looked at us and let her head fall back to the wall. "I'm good now." she said in a raspy voice. "How are you feeling?" Liam asked her. "I'm better, my side hurts a bit and I still have some shakes but I'm okay." She said as she closed her eyes and taking a deep breath.

Liam put his hand to her side and felt around causing her to wince. He stood up and went to the fridge to get her an ice pack, placing it on her side. She took a deep breath opening her eyes and murmuring the word. "Cold." before relaxing again. "I know but you have some swelling and we don't want it to get worse. '' I said back and she nodded. "Do you want to tell us what happened and why you ran in here like that?" I asked her calmly.

"Someone was following me." She said in a shaky voice. "What do you mean?" Liam asked her. She then proceeded to tell us how she went for lunch with Kat and how someone was acting weird and then how a car was following her all the way to our house and then to the hospital. What the fuck. "You did the right thing coming here." Liam said to her after she was finished. "Did you see his face?" I asked her. "No." She shook her head.

"But I'm sure it has something to do with him." She said and me and Liam looked at each other before turning our attention back to Leila. "Everything is okay now, you're safe Leila." I tell her and she nods. "How did you know it was my asthma?" She asked me confused. "Come on Soph, I'm a doctor. I know how to tell the difference between a panic attack and an asthma attack."

I tell her "Also I know how you react when you have an asthma attack, for example you never talk and you only show you're in pain by putting your hand on your chest, also your breath is shallower than when you have panic attacks and you get flushed and pale at the same time." I explained to her. "Okay wow." She said, looking at me wide eyed. "I'm very good at my job Soph." I tell her with a smirk. "Oh I know." She says back, chuckling. "Come on, let's move you to the couch." I say as I grab her arm to help her stand up while Liam grabs her other arm and the ice pack.
