Another Rant

Okay, I love SU but there is just one problem. I have not seen anyone cover this so I thought I'd do it here.

It's about the main character's age. It seems like at least one year has passed and his age hasn't changed at all. This show follows chronological order, so I think it's a writing mistake.

Let me explain:
First of all:

This is back in episode 75 (season two). It clearly says that it's Steven's (the main character's) 14th birthday. Let's look season five.

As you can see, this is episode 138, and Steven is still fourteen (he literally stated it in the episode).

Quote from the episode:

"Wait, did you guys break up? Can seven year olds even do that?"

Steven: "I'm fourteen!"

I think that at least one year would have passed, but it hasn't?

Now, assuming that Steven's birthday is in June (summer),

It's fall about five episodes later. (Picture from the episode above)

As you can see, the leaf is brownish.

Then, it seems like it goes back to somewhere around spring after this episode.

After that, it switches back to fall. (As seen in the episode below)

That means summer would have passed again, making Steven at least fifteen now.

In this episode below:

It's clearly winter now, so I just don't get why Steven is still fourteen. Steven still says he's fourteen in "Kevin Party" (episode 138), about twenty episodes later somewhere in the spring/summer.

Okay, now onto another character's age:

In "Steven's Birthday" (the episode where Steven turns 14), Steven's friend says she is 12 3/4 years old. Again, assuming Steven's birthday is in June, his friend's birthday would have to be in September. That means she is almost in seventh grade, but in another episode:

Two seasons later: Steven's friend (Connie) says she is reading books to get ready for seventh grade. Now you might think this is an episode somewhere in the past, but again, this show follows chronological order. Connie should be getting ready for eight grade, meaning one year should have passed and she is 13.

All I'm saying is that one year should have passed in the show, not that it did/didn't.

Yup, that's all I wanted to rant about, the ages of the characters.

TL;DR: I rant about Steven Universe and how the show writers make the main character the same age after at least one year should have passed. There is enough evidence in the show to let me know which time of year it is (seasonal things such as clothing and plants).
