A Wattpad Read: Review of "I'm Writing This For You" by Establish.

An incredibly unique and touching read- it'll be hard to find another story like this on Wattpad for a long time.

It's 2016, and Malik McKnight has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Realizing that he has a short time to live, he decides to write his life story for his 3 year old daughter- journaling his adolescent adventures and journey to becoming a writer.

The only warning that I have to give the reader is that is has some adult language. Other than that, it doesn't do too badly in the family friendly catagory.

The praises that I have to sing of this author are substantial. I'm not too sure where to start... I guess I'll start with Establish's writing style. He has a very unique writing style and sentence structure, and it's fresh and different in a good way. It just goes  with this story- it's like watching a professional cloth maker weave each thread into the loom and the end result is something beautifully made.

The character development is phenomenal, the pacing is well done, and the description is near perfection. I feel like the author managed to find the happy medium between "boring somebody to tears with details" and "not giving enough details to where you can't get a good picture inside your head."

The grammar was very good, giving it a 9 out of 10 stars. The flow was fabulous- if this story was ever read by a New York Times  critic and they didn't give Establish at least an okay review, I would have to storm their office, slap a few people in the face, and tell them that they don't know talent when they see it. (and this is when I realize I'm almost too passionate about the stories I read)

This story is just great, and I'm not sure if I'll find another quite like it for some time. I barely even have anything to critique on except that I could have been perfectly happy with less swearing and that I find it disturbing that I felt like I had slammed into a brick wall when I saw that I didn't have another chapter to read. (This story was like a black hole to me- it sucked me in and threatened to never let me go)

So this is the part where I tell you to sprint over to the author's page, and go check the story out for yourself and form your own opinion- don't dawdle!
