So my friend was trying to draw the chinese symbol for sunset, and for some odd reason I felt like I'd seen a symbol similar to that. 

So I looked up some chinese symbols on google. Then I remembered season 4 of Ninjago. 

Those look a lot like chinese symbols, so I got curious. What does each symbol on their gi's mean? So of course I had to do research...Remember the picture up above. It's the alphabet. Note: The one's in highlighted in red are the same as on their gi's. 

Lloyd's gi has the backwards letter L. Jay's has the letter Y. Kai has the letter I. And Cole has the letter D. 

Then I noticed that the letters were in a certain order. So following the alphabet the letters spelt IDYL. And then I got curious once more, What about Skylor? 

(Yes, I know this picture is from season 6, but it's the same symbol in season 4 so,) 

Then I looked up the symbol of amber. It DID NOT match the symbol Skylor's wearing. The symbol she has is the same symbol for "Fire Blast" 

If you google Japanese symbol for fire blast, this is what will come up. SO WHAT DOES IT MEAN?! I'm going to continue to research this until I figure it out...
