Various Fandom Stuff

This is literally a whole chapter about me talking about random things I've been obsessed with lately. Enjoy.

Guys, help me out here.

I only started watching Sherlock two weeks ago.

Two weeks.

And I've already finished all three seasons, including the special.

For those who haven't seen this show, note that each season has three episodes. Not totally bad, right?

However.

Also note that each episode is the length of a movie. One hour and thirty minutes. I am not kidding you.

I LOVE IT.

It's totally worth it to see Sherlock's deduction skills firsthand. The first episode has to be one of my favorite episodes, not going to lie. If you haven't seen Sherlock yet, check it out! It's on Netflix, and the characters are so fun and enjoyable! Maybe put subs on, though. Sherlock can talk really fast. Yet it's awesome.

Next! Another obsession!

I got a Steam gift card for my birthday, which was a few weeks ago. I didn't know what to use it on.

So my sister's browsing Steam three days ago, and she suddenly asks me if she can use my card to buy Stardew Valley.

I freeze. And think.

I had not played that game in so long. I'd only tried it once, at my cousin's house. It seemed like a cool, chill, Harvest Moon-type game. I'm cool with those games. I believe I mentioned the game in my art book, yes? I drew the video game nerd that is Sebastian.

I let her get it. We share accounts, so after she tried it out for a little while, I decided to give it a try again. I'll just get through the first day, quit the game, and do something else.

Yeah no.

I am complete trash.

My sister hasn't even picked up the game since she bought it, but I have 22 FREAKING HOURS OF GAMEPLAY. (Edit: pssh, looking back on this now this is nothing compared to my recent 128 hours) I've made 40,000+ coins since starting and I spend my days fishing and giving gifts. Flub mining. Mining and fighting slimes sucks.

Right now I'm contemplating which guy I'm going to date in-game.

Alex, the arrogant jerk jock who's secretly a teddy bear, is my best bet at the moment, considering I have the most hearts with him. But then there's Sam, a youthful ball of sunshine and ambitious band leader who kind of looks like he has Goku's hair. Yes, Goku. And finally, Elliott: the poetic beach hermit/aspiring author with really nice locks of hair, wow give me his conditioner.

I can't believe pixelated characters stole my heart. I haven't even gotten through the first year yet. Yeesh.

Also:

"Stardew Valley is a cute and innocent game! Really fun!"

???

Alex's dad was an abusive alcoholic, and his mom died because that said dad left them?

Shane's a depressed alcoholic who hates himself for being the godfather to sweet little Jas?

Sam's dad is a veteran having trouble adjusting to civilian life?

I mean...

This game gets surprisingly deep. I live for the heart scenes.
