Ilvermorny

Now, you must be thinking, what's with that weird name above?

Well guess what, Harry Potter fans?

J.K. Rowling has confirmed that there is a North American wizarding school, and it's as good as—if not better then—Hogwarts, which is in England. And that's what it's called. Ilvermorny.

I just read about its backstory, and wow it's so tragic and interesting! And also it was founded by one of SALAZAR SLYTHERIN'S DESCENDANTS, LIKE HOW COOL IS THAT. To learn more about this amazing school, just go to Pottermore.com.

So it was founded by a family of four: Isolt Sayre, James Steward, Webster Boot, and Chadwick Boot. What is interesting is that James Steward was a No-Maj (North American term for Muggle), yet he still helped to found the magical school.

It's in America, in the first place the Pilgrims landed on, that's right, Massachusetts! Out of all of the states...seriously...

There are four houses, obviously. Wampus, Pukwudgie, Thunderbird, and the Horned Serpent. The founders based it off of the Hogwart houses, each choosing their favorite magical animal.

There is even a test on Pottermore to see which of those houses you're in! I can't take it because apparently my information isn't collected (stupid websites), but I think I would get Pukwudgie, or perhaps even Thunderbird.

Now the thing is that the four houses represent the wizard or witch as a whole.

Brief descriptions:

Wampus: A magical, panther-like creature that is incredibly fast, strong, and nearly impossible to kill. Webster Boot chose this creature, and it is said that this house favors "warriors." When students are chosen, an enchanted statue of the Wampus roars to show its approval. Represents the body of the wizard/witch.

Thunderbird: A bird that can create storms as it flies. Chadwick Boot chose this magical creature, and it is said this house favors "adventurers." When students are chosen for this house, the enchanted statue of the Thunderbird beats its wings to show its approval. Represents the soul of the wizard/witch.

Pukwudgie: A short, grey-faced, large-eared creature distantly related to European goblins. Fiercely independent, tricky and not very fond of humankind, magical or mundane. Has its own magic, hunts with poison tipped arrows, and enjoys playing tricks on humans, kind of like Peeves. James Steward chose this creature, and it is said that this house favors "healers." When students are chosen for this house, the enchanted statue of the Pukwudgie raises its arrow into the air to show its approval. Represents the heart of the wizard/witch.

Horned Serpent: A magical river serpent with two curved horns and a jewel set in its forehead. Its horns could be used as cores for wands. Isolt Sayre chose this creature, and it is said that this house favors "scholars." When students are chosen for this house, the enchanted statue of the Horned Serpent's jewel in its forehead glows to show its approval. Represents the mind of the wizard/witch.

Now based on those descriptions, which house do you think you'd be in?
