Calm you down after a scary dream

They're objects. Enjoy! Also haha this is another hurt/comfort fic ^^

"I HATE YOU! EVERYONE HATES YOU!" Paintbrush yelled in a rage.

Lightbulb cowered down as Paintbrush yelled at her. She had been acting goofy and keeping people up in the hotel, and Paintbrush finally snapped at her.

"Sorry Lightbulb, but science shows that no one likes you anymore." Test Tube said, with Fan nodding afterwards.

"G-guys, I thought we were friends-" Lightbulb said.

"Not anymore," Paintbrush said, "and Microphone told me she wants to break up with you. She's sleeping over at Taco's, don't call her, she doesn't want to speak to you."

Lightbulb felt tears well up in her eyes as she watched her not anymore friends walk away. The floor then broke down beneath her. Lightbulb fell, eventually landing in water. She quickly swam up, coughing up water. Everything was dark around her. Where was she? She then suddenly got sucked down and blacked out, only to wake up in a dark grey room. She noticed she was tied to a chair. She squirmed, trying to break free. It didn't help. A dark figure approached her.

"H-hey! Dark shadow thing! Let me go!" Lightbulb yelled, fright audible in her voice.

"Haha, nice try," the figure said, in a scarily deep voice, "I will never let you go. You won't see any daylight again."

"W-well my friends- my friends will find me!" Lightbulb said.

The figure chuckled evilly.

"Hmhmhm, heh, your friends will never find you. No one will find you. No one loves you, a Lightbulb, you're just a dumb, helpless moron." The figure said. "Why else would they have left you? They don't like your silliness, they don't like your "bright" personality, they don't like you."

Lightbulb felt herself tear up. She knew the creature who had captured her was right. She then suddenly heard a voice from far away.

"Lightbulb, wake up."

"Wh- what?" Lightbulb looked up, trying to find out where the voice came from,"Mic?"

"Wake up!"

"It's no use, little Lightbulb, they can try to find you, but they won't."

Lightbulb suddenly felt like she got shaken, and then...

...her eyes fluttered open. She found herself in a bed. She felt someone pull her close to them. Lightbulb tensed up, looking around confused, until she heard a voice.

"You're ok, the nightmare's over, I'm here for you."

It was Microphone!

Lightbulb clung onto Microphone immediately, burying her face in Mic's chest area. She started crying as the dream came back to her, shaking. Microphone stroked her back and back of her bulb comfortingly.

"What was your dream about?" Mic asked comfortingly.

Lightbulb took a few deep breaths, then started explaining.

"W-well- Painty- Painty started yelling a-at me because I woke them up, then- then Fan and Test Tube agreed with them that everyone ha- hates me, and then Painty said- they- they said you had- br- broken up with me- and after that- after that I fell through the floor. I fell into a sea and every- everything was dark until I got sucked up and blacked out." She took a few seconds to catch her breath, then continued, "I woke up in a room and I was tied to a chair and some dark figure told me I was never- that I was never gonna see you all again and that no one loved me!"

She started sobbing again. Microphone hummed understandably and hugged Lightbulb tighter.

"Oh Lighty... I would never break up with you over something silly like that. Neither would Paintbrush, Fan and Test Tube. They love you, Lighty. Look at me," Mic made Lightbulb look at her, "they'll never leave you like that. You are loved, Lighty."

Lightbulb seemed to calm down at those words.  Her grip on Microphone loosened a bit as she relaxed, letting Mic's back rubs soothe her.

"Microphone?" Lightbulb asked after a small silence.

"Yeah?" Mic replied.

"Am I annoying?"

Mic's eyes widened a bit at this question.

"No! No, Lighty, you're silly and sometimes a bit dimwitted, but annoying? Never." She replied, still holding that comforting tone.

"Well, I feel like I am..." Lightbulb mumbled.

MIc hugged Lightbulb tighter.

"You're not annoying, Lighty. I know what it feels like to come off as annoying, it can make you feel small and anxious, but just remember there are people who love the real you, just like you are. And I am definitely one of them. I love you, Lighty."

Lightbulb chuckled.

"You mean when you screamed loudly every challenge?" She asked.

Mic couldn't help but smile.

"Yeah, that."

"I found it funny and pretty cool," Lightbulb admitted, "imagine if you're holding a protest. Your voice could lead people." She suddenly gasped and sat up happily, "Oh! Mic! We could protest against the homophobes and transphobes with my silliness and your loudness!"

Microphone laughed. She sat up too, glad she could help Lightbulb feel a bit better.

"Hahah, well, if there's ever a need to protest, we will do that." She promised Lightbulb, "Are you ready to go back to sleep now?"

Lightbulb remembered the dream again. Her smile faded and she shook her head.

"No. I'm scared the dreams will return..." she said in all honesty.

"Don't worry, they won't return," Mic said, "and if you want to stay up with me, we can. What do you want to do instead of sleeping?"

Lightbulb thought. She then sad an idea.

"Can we sing together?"

Microphone smiled at the suggestion.

"Oh, sure, what song do you want to sing?"

Lightbulb thought again.

"Fly me to the moon." She replied.

For the ones who don't know, this is the song (though this is a cover of it I really like)

Microphone smiled.

"Alright." She said.

The two then began to sing.

"Fly me to the moon, and let me play among the stars..." Mic started.

"Let me see what spring is like, on Jupiter and mars..." Lightbulb continued.

"In other words, hold my hand..." Mic sang, taking Lightbulb's hands in hers.

"In other hands, darling, kiss me..." Lightbulb sang as she blushed a bit, which caused Mic to blush too.

"Fill my heart with song and let me sing forever more..." Mic pulled both their hands to her chest.

"You are all I long for, all I worship and adore..." Lightbulb looked into Mic's eyes.

"In other words, please be true..." Mic put one hand on Lightbulb's cheek.

"In other words, I love you..." Lightbulb leaned in and kissed Mic for a brief moment.

They both giggled softly at each other, both flushed and feeling their hearts flutter. Little moments like these made them both very happy.

"Hey, can you two please shut up?" Trophy yelled from his room.

"AaaaaCHOO!"

"Ew! Gross!"

"Sorry, it's my condis- ACHOOOOOO!"

A loud crash was heard, with Trophy cursing afterwards. Lightbulb and Microphone both giggled again.

"What's going on here?" OJ's voice sounded.

"Tissues crashed into the wall!" Trophy replied.

"I crash sneezed-" Tissues said before getting interrupted by a coughing fit.

Lightbulb and Mic were full on laughing now, trying to not wake more people (w though they probably wouldn't even be the ones waking people up if Trophy and Tissues kept yelling at each other).

A few minutes later, the argument had died down and Tissues and Trophy were in their room again. Mic and Lightbulb were cuddling, sitting close to each other. Lightbulb had her eyes closed. She felt so content and relaxed right now. She was sure she was ready to go back to sleep too.

"Mic, I think I'm ready to go to sleep." Lightbulb said.

Mic smiled.

"Let's go to sleep then." She replied.

The two tucked themselves in and fell asleep soon after, both in a dreamless slumber.

Man do I love writing fics like these. I LITERALLY TEARED UP AT HOW CUTE THIS SCENARIO WAS!!
