Magnus groaned in his sleep, turning on his back and stretched his arm, only to find the spot next to his empty. He forced his eyes to open to know where the hell his personal heater, aka Alec, disappeared to. Magnus furrowed his eyebrows as he saw dim light illuminated through the crack under the door. He looked at the alarm on the nightstand. It read 5am.
What. The. Fuck?
Stuffing his feet into the bunny slippers, hey, don't judge; Magnus shuffled towards the source of the light then got into the kitchen.
"Alexander, you there?" Magnus yawned, leaning against the door frame for support. Then he noticed the sight in front of him.
Baking ingredients were piled up everywhere: eggs, flour, sugar...along with bowls, spoons, cups....all over the place. Judging at the amount of them, Magnus ought to think the food could feed a small troop of soldiers. And in the middle of the picture was Alec, his black messy hair was messier than ever, his usual black sweater sleeves were pulled up to his elbows, revealed his pale, slender forearms. His grey sweatpants hung lowly on his hip, giving Magnus a satisfying view of a strip of porcelain skin there.
"Magnus?" his boyfriend's voice snapped him out of his daydream "You're supposed to be sleeping."
"So are you, my love. But here we are." Magnus pointed out, strolling to his spot. "What are you doing?" He asked as he rested his chin on Alec's head, hugging the boy from behind.
"I'm baking." Alec said with a "duh" voice but couldn't help but blush at how close they were. His back was pressed against Magnus's chest, feeling the other's heartbeats.
"Of course I know that, genius. I mean what for? I thought you have a break from work on Sunday."
"You will know soon." Alec shrugged.
"Can I help? Can I help? Please? Pleeeeeaaasssseee?" he sounded like a child, making Alec laugh, nodding. "Yay!"
"But only if you promise not to distract me?"
"What exactly is "distract" according to you, Mr. Lightwood?" Magnus smirked, whispering in his ear. Alec's whole face turned to a mixture of pink and red.
"Y-you...you know..."
"I'm sorry, darling. I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean. Can you remind me again, Alexander?" Magnus purred, quite enjoyed the redness of the boy's cheeks.
"You smooth asshole." Alec muttered, turning his head and kissed his boyfriend lightly on the mouth. Magnus sighed happily, spun Alec around so he could deepen the kiss. His hands rested lazily under the fuzzy fabric at Alec's lower back, his thumbs drawing circles on the soft bare skin.
Alec shoved Magnus back gently, smiling up at him "There, I did. Can I work now?"
Magnus rolled his eyes but agreed.
"Don't taste any ingredients, Mags." Alec warned him before grabbing the flour. Of course, the bastard didn't listen.

"What the-Where is the whisk again?" Alec exclaimed, looking around for the whisk. Magnus froze at his seat, creamy substance covering his lips.
"Magnus, I told you not to lick the whisk!" Alec snatched it out of his hand.
"Darling, it's either you or the whisk." Magnus winked, licking his lips. Alec blushed, cursing his pale complexion for showing off every freaking feeling. Thanks Raziel Magnus didn't bother him the rest of the time.
"Done." Alec clapped his hands as he and Magnus finished wrapping the last box of puddings. "Now we need to change. Hurry up Magnus. It's 7 already."
Although Magnus was confused as hell, he still did as the boy said.

"Where are we going, Alexander?" Magnus cocked his eyebrow, trailing after the blue eyed on the town road. Each of them carried two big boxes in each hand, full of hot and delicious desserts.
"There." Alec gestured something ahead of them. Magnus followed his direction and saw a big, white building: Alicante Orphanage.
"Oh."
"Alec!" a voice squealed. A little girl ran towards them and hugged Alec's legs.
"Madzie!" Alec's face lit up with a thousand-watt smile, looking down at the brown girl.
"Madzie." Another voice shouted. A brunette woman, who Magnus thought was one of the careers, approached the boys. She was completely out of breathe when she helped Alec with all the boxes. "Hi Alec. Here let me help. Sorry for Madzie. She's a bit over excited to see you."
"Is that so?" Alec chuckled, bent down and picked the girl up "My favourite little sorceress!"
Madzie giggled, making grabby hands at Alec, wanting to hug him.
"And you are?" the woman adverted her eyes to the other boy. Magnus was too busy cooing at the sight.
"Oh, I'm Magnus Bane. Alec's boyfriend." He smiled politely, the woman squealed at the information "Nice to meet you..." he added, eyeing her nametag. "Daisy. Normally. I would shake your hands but..." he lifted the boxes.
"Oh what was I thinking!" she exclaimed "Come in please."
She led them into the building. The floor was as clean as a new pin, the walls were painted with animals and cartoon characters and you could hear children's laughter down the hall. Magnus noticed the drawing style was very familiar with the one at the Lightwoods' bakery. Maybe it was the same person.
"We try to give children the best. They can call this 'home', not just a simple orphanage. If that even makes sense." Daisy said, pushed a door open. It was a large room full of children playing, yelling and throwing toys at each other while the careers ran around to prevent them from poking their eyes out. The older ones piled up in a corner, too caught up on reading books or drawing pictures to notice anything. Magnus supposed it was the play room.
"IT'S ALEC!!!" one of them shouted and they started running to him, knocking him off his feet.
"What are you doing here?"
"Did you bring us pies?"
"Do you have cakes?"
"Shut up Lenny. He clearly brings cookies."
"You shut up, Matthew."
Magnus found this really hilarious so he just stood aside and watching kids slowly choke his boyfriend to death.
"Guys, be nice. Back off, all of you. Let the poor boy breathe."
Daisy shooed them away. Alec sat up, Madzie hopped off him but still clung to his arm. They started giving the children their portions. Magnus introduced him to a few of the careers there. They were truly friendly and kind.

Magnus was watching Alec playing with Madie and some kids, his right palm supported his chin when a short, brown girl with super curly hair took a sit next to him.
"Alec is an amazing person, right?" She spoke, snapping the boy out of his trance. He looked at her perplexedly.
"Oops, I'm Maia Roberts." She offered him her hand. He took it with a smile.
"I'm-"
"Magnus Bane, right. I heard you a moment ago." She nodded. Turning her attention to the blue eyed boy, who was laughing hysterically for being tickled by a bunch of kids, she teased.
"You are so in love it's disgusting."
"What?" Magnus tilted his head in confusion. A bad habit he picked up from one of his father's employee, a serious bee-lover.
"Oh please." Maia smirked, nudging him in the ribs "You were looking at him like he was the only person in the room, like the boy was made of stars and flowers or something. I can literally stick heart-shaped papers on your eyes and it will still be the same."
Magnus blushed. "Is it that obvious?"
"Hell yeah." Maia laughed before sighing "Oh man, I wish Clary were here."
"Clary Fairchild?"
"Yep!" she popped out the 'p' sound "We are volunteers here. Just to have something to do in the summer. Besides, we love children."
"I ought to think Simon would like to work here more than at the bakery." Magnus stated. Maia laughed again.
"That nerd? He works there just to piss Jace Herondale off. Or to make a move on the guy. I don't think he knows the differences between those two. For a nerd, he is surely stupid."
"You tell me." Magnus snorted. The pair ended up laughing their asses off. Sadly, the morning went by too fast and it was time to say goodbye. Maia promised Magnus a 50% off if he ever came to the Hunter's Moon, a bar which her dad and Clary's, Luke were co-owners, after Magnus broadened her knowledge about various types of wines and alcohol and how to identify and distinguish them. He didn't treat her like kids like her parents did, he treated her as an equal person who wanted to learn.
"Alright, I'll keep it in mind." Magnus chuckled as he and Alec waved them goodbye.
Magnus held Alec close by his waist as the blue eyed yawned, nuzzling his nose into the older's shoulder. Both of Alec's arms draped around Magnus's waist like a koala.
" 'M tired." His whiny voice muffled into the fabric of Magnus's cream floral sweatshirt.
"Those kids definitely worn my boyfriend out, huh?" Magnus joked, earning a groan and a light punch in the stomach. "Shut up and gimme a piggy back ride."
Magnus hadn't even realized what was going on then suddenly Alec jumped on his back, made him stumble forward and almost fall flat on his face. He subconciously wrapped his arms behind Alec's back to steady him.
"Alexander Lightwood, get down from my back." Magnus scolded. Alec made a disgruntled noise, clapsing his arms around Magnus's neck, his legs wrapped firmly around Magnus's torso. The blue eyed burying his face into the crook of his lover's neck. Magnus was torn between dropping Alec down and keeping him there. But that conflicted thought instantly disappeared as he felt the boy's breath became even and slowler, his body went limp and he was fast asleep. Magnus's face broke into a smile as he carried Alec home.
"You're lucky that I love you, Alexander."
After laying the sleeping boy down his bed, Magnus covered his body with the blanket. He then sat down next to Alec, leaning against the headboard, a hand running through Alec's dark locks, massaging his head while the other began to check his phone. That's right. Asmodeus finally tossed Magnus's precious back to him before going back to New York with a super convincing reason: "Take as many pictures with your boyfriends as you want. Robert and I will need them for your wedding."
He was watching cat videos when there was a knock at the front door. He lazily got up and dragged himself outside. The door was opened and a wave of blond greeted him. "Hi Magnus."
"Camille? What the hell are you doing here?"
