"I'm a witch?  I don't even have greeen skin!"  I laughed like a baboon and snorted non stop.

I clutched my stomach because my sides were starting to hurt.

Dimitri and Rosanna both glanced at eachother and gave me a wary look.

That can't be true.

When did they come up with all this bullshit?

Do they think I'm that gullible?

Well, it sort of explained how I broke out of that cell and how I melted the iron cuffs and bars.

My laughing faltered and I mentally slapped myself.

Why did it always have to be me?

Why can't I be like a normal human being and live my life like other normal people.

Because you're not, duhhh.

Argh!

I've never been more frustrated.

"Oh shit,"  I groaned.

Dimitri and Rosanna both looked down at my defeated form.

They showed no sign that they were joking.  They kept a straight face and Rosanna studied me carefully like she wanted to see what I was hiding inside me.

I was hiding my middle finger from her, that's what I was doing.

"What do you want from me?  Just answer me for fuck's sake!"  I was beyond pissed and couldn't wait any longer to hear the answers.

If they wouldn't answer me then I was going to make them somehow.

"I guess it's okay to tell her now, she's bound to know sooner or later,"  Dimitri said to Rosanna.  She hesitated but reluctantly nodded her head.

"You are a witch.  It means that your blood contains occultic properties that can be used to a wide extent,"  Dimitri said and stepped closer to me.

"And why do you need my blood?"  I asked vigilantly.

Dimitri knelt down on the other side of me.  I was caged between both Rosanna and Dimitri now.

"Do you remember that time I explained to you what the Battle De Prophetia was?  Where a child of a vampire and witch was destined to take over God's throne in Heaven?"  He asked in a low voice.

I thought about it for a few seconds.  The Battle De Prophetia...  Sounds familiar.  Then it clicked.

"The story you told me in the elevator at Hotel Byzantine,"  I proclaimed, proud that I could remember.

Dimitri nodded.

"Wait, what has that got to do with anything?"  I asked, frowning.

Rosanna scoffed beside me.

"Dimitri, are you sure she is the right one?  She seems to be quite stupid,"  She raised an eyebrow.

"Well, I happened to be bombarded with a shit ton of bullshit facts so I'm sorry if I can't keep up,"  I snapped back.

Her eyes hardened and turned red.  She looked like she wanted to rip my tongue out with her bare hands.  I don't blame her.  My tongue has gotten me in trouble at times.  Though, I wouldn't like to be dismembered.

"Watch that mouth of yours, bitch,"  Rosanna warned in a sharp tone.

"You still haven't answered my question,"  I said.

How long does it even take to answer a goddamn question?

"That woodland Lucien owns contains the exact same trees that have been around since the beginning of time.  They were the trees that bore fruits that fed the very first humans that God created,"  Dimitri began to explain.

The Garden of Eden?  That was the place where Adam and Eve lived.  Why was I having a religious lecture now?

I began to use my brain and think about it.

"The Garden of Eden..."  I whispered to myself and contemplated.

Then it dawned on me.

That's why!

"The Garden of Eden is the woodland that Lucien owns!"  I cried.

Dimitri smiled.

"Good, you've figured at least one thing out,"  Rosanna said.

One thing.  I wondered how many more there was to go.  I couldn't believe this was actually true.  The stories and legends that you were told as a child weren't just fictional anymore.  They were in the world that we lived in but we were just too blind to see it.

Dimitri looked at me and probably could read what I was thinking.

"Every story and legend is based off of past events.  Events that took place so long ago that people begin to see it as a made-up tale, thus they don't see that they are presently living in a world not much different from the past."

I stayed quiet.  It was all too overwhelming.  I mean, being told you were a witch and somebody you thought was dead was still alive... that's a big chunk to absorb.

"Where do I come into any of this?"  I queried looking at Dimitri.

He held my gaze and thought for a second.

"What do you expect to get out of this?"  I questioned him further.

He chortled lightly.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk.  So many questions.  You should be happy that I'm telling you all this.  Usually I'm not the type to share personal information."

I cocked an eyebrow.

"Personal information?  How can it be personal if it concerns me?"

"Good point.  Now, I'm going to answer your question so we can get this done and over with,"  He smiled but it wasn't a pleasant one.

I was kind of nervous to say the truth.  I mean, what if I can't handle the truth?  Was I even ready for it?  Jeez, I was being such a pussy.

I took a deep breath and exhaled through my mouth.

"Your purpose here, Isadora Artemis Pallas,"  I winced a little when he said my full name.  How did he even know my whole name?  I decided not to question him on it.  This matter must've been really important for him to address me like that, "You will be used as a sacrifice to fulfil what I have been working to get for over two centuries.  I want to claim that throne in Heaven and take over the position of that useless deity, Vazol.  I've been patiently waiting and now my chance has finally come.  The people are in dire need of a new ruler to put them in their rightful positions.  This earth known as home to you humans will fall to me."

I stared wide-eyed at the column of a man beside me.  He was truly reckless, unethical and overall a dude with a physcological disorder.  He wanted to take over the world?  Kiss my ass!  His expression told me he was serious though.  The menacing, cold and abrasive gleam in his eyes that portrayed an unstoppable ambition that would be the death of him and this world.  His greed and commination had consumed him.

But he was using me as a sacrifice?

Now that's unacceptable.

He got up off the floor and dusted off imaginary dirt from his slacks.

Rosanna too, got up on the other side at me and went to stand beside Dimitri.

He gave me a crooked grin.

"I hope I've told you all you need to know.  Now you should get some rest before your very short life is going to come to an end."

With that, the pair turned and walked away from me.  I quickly scrambled off from the floor and tried to get to them.

"Hey!  Wait!  Let me go you assholes!  Let.  Me.  Go!"  I screamed out but it was too late.  They had locked the cell door behind them.
I placed my hand around the cell bars but abruptly let go of them with a yelp when a sharp burning pain spread across my hands.  I looked down to see nasty red scorch marks run across my palms like I had just placed them on a hot stove.  The skin had burned off and the flesh was raw and pink.

I grimaced at the sight and cradled but my hands to my chest.

I walked over to the back of the cell and leaned against the wall.

I needed to get out of here but how?  I didn't have any escape plan.

I closed me eyes as a heavy need of sleep passed over me.

Lucien.  Where are you?
