Dimitri Augustian.

Definitely familiar. I tried searching for that name in my memories as best as I could but just couldn't seem to find it.

I gave him a brief smile and let go of his hand. He gave me a polite smile in return and put his hands in the pockets of his slacks.

There was something familiar but also distant about him. Like I've seen those eyes before but every time I dug into that part of the memory, it just blurs.

"Well I must say, Lucien, that you have such a fine young woman here," He said and gave me a flirtatious wink.

But the wink didn't seem flirtatious. It seemed...knowing.

"I bet even Jaycon has a hard time keeping his hands to himself with this one," He joked at Jaycon.

"I try my best," Jaycon grinned playfully at me.

I gave him a sour look and crossed my arms. He just grinned even wider and I turned my attention away from him altogether.

"I'm glad to see that you have finally gotten over Rosanna a little bit," Dimitri said and I snapped my attention to Lucien and him.

There was that name again.

Rosanna.

Who was she to Lucien?

I really wanted to ask all those questions that was swirling inside my head but something refrained me from blurting it all out.

I didn't really want to pry into Lucien's business but I wanted answers. I had the right to know at least one small, personal detail of his life since he made me live here.

I glanced at Lucien and he wore a dark expression. His jaw twitched and an unnerving silence passed over the whole room sending an eerie shiver down my spine.

Dimitri must have realised his mistake and quickly changed the subject.

"How about us gentlemen go and discuss our business matters elsewhere?" Dimitri quickly said.

Lucien relaxed ever so slightly but the dangerous look in his eyes was still evident.

"We will go to my office and continue our business there." Lucien led the way and Jaycon and Dimitri followed him out.

As the three guys disappeared down the out of the kitchen door, I sunk back into my seat.

I rubbed my temples and groaned.

This was all so confusing.

This whole situation.

Rosanna.

Dimitri.

What was it with this place? It was like a ball of confusion. Oh, how I wish my life was not so fucked up.

"Are you all right, honey?" Kaitleen came over and sat down beside me.

She gave me a concerned look and knitted her hands together.

"Just a small headache, I'll be alright," I said.

"I'll make you some peppermint tea and get you an aspirin," Bridgeth said and switched on the kettle before walking out the kitchen to fetch the aspirin.

"Who is Rosanna?" I finally asked.

Kaitleen stiffened and hesitated.

"Rosanna was someone very special to Lucien," She eventually said.

Was. Special.

I nodded my head not wanting to ask her anything more because I knew that she wouldn't be willing to elaborate any further.

I felt slightly jealous of this 'Rosanna'. Who could she be? Why was she always spoken of when people found out that I was Lucien's 'pet'?

I needed answers. I wanted to know the secrets that this house had kept hidden.

"Here's your tea and aspirin, dearie." Bridgeth had placed a steaming mug of tea in front of me and beside it was a small bottle of aspirin and a glass of water.

"Thank you," I said and popped open the aspirin bottle. I shook out one pill and then paused.

A lot of shit has happened over the past few weeks. It would take more than one pill to clear my mind of all the events that have passed.

I shook out another pill and shoved the two pills into my mouth. I gulped down some water and felt the pills sliding down my throat.

Just then Erynn and came in with...Eefah?

Wow. Goth Girl has decided to grace us with her presence.

"Hello everyone," Erynn greeted us with a bright smile.

"Hey, Erynn. Haven't seen you for days," I said as she came over to us.

Eefah just glared at me and went over to rummage through the fridge. She had earphones on and was dressed in black jeans and a band t-shirt.

Well, hello to you too, I thought.

"I'm so sorry I haven't been around. I was away for a few days in Italy presenting my paintings to some art collectors," Erynn explained.

"You paint?" I asked.

"Yep. I do it in my spare time and lucky for me, I have lots of spare time," She said.

"You've got to show me some of your paintings some day," I grinned.

"They're not that great but I'm practising," She admitted shyly.

"I'm sure they're fantastic."

Chattering could be heard and Lucien, Jaycon and Dimitri came back into the kitchen again.

Dimitri looked over to Eefah and gave her a wink and a boyish smile.

She widened her eyes and blushed a shade of red and hid behind her glass of, what was that, blood?

Awww, has little Goth Girl got the hots for him?

The three started speaking in a different language and I looked over at Erynn.

"They're speaking Italian," She informed me quietly, "Do you know any?"

"Nope," I said popping the 'p'.

"Good because what we're saying is strictly confidential," Lucien inclined his head to us.

"Don't worry, I don't speak mozzarella," I smiled at him innocently.

He scowled at me but Jaycon and Dimitri snickered quietly.

This was actually a big fat lie. The truth was, I did speak Italian. And Greek for that matter.

My mother's side was Greek and my father's side was Sicilian Italian. So I was half Greek, half Italian and was fluent in both languages. My grandparents from both sides used to always speak in their own native language so as a young child I was taught the languages by them.

I just chose to ignore what they were speaking about. Now I also learned that Lucien Abelló is Italian.

Slowly I'm making progress.

They were talking abut selling a woodland that Lucien owned and how it was special and could only be bought at the right price blah blah blah.

I'd really hate to be a business person if my job was to just blabber on about boring things like that.

"Oh, Isadora. I forgot to tell you something," Erynn piped up.

"What is it?"

"Well, tonight were having a dinner together."

"All of us?" I asked.

"Uh huh. Eefah, Jaycon, Dimitri, Lucien, you and I," She said.

"Okay. At what time?"

"Six thirty."

I glared at the clock and it read seven minutes passed five.

"Well then, I guess I'll go and take a shower," I said and got up from my seat and walked past the Talking Trio.

"One more thing I forgot to mention, Isadora. Diamonde from the Blood Moon party is coming over as well."

Oh fuck. Tonight's going to be epic.
