After looking at her son from a distance, Sheetal could not control her tears. She burst out crying witnessing him like that. He was the apple of her eyes, he was the only center of her whole world, she could not even imagine losing him. she was dying to go inside but the nurse did not allow her to enter the ward.

Annika was equally in pain looking at Sheetal in that state, also she felt more guilty. She was not less aware of the fact that for Sheetal, Shivay was her entire world and it was not at all easy for her to accept this reality. She went towards her and keeping a hand on her shoulder Annika said,

"Mom! please don't worry, Shivay will be fine. The Doctors,.." Annika was not even finished when she heard Sheetal scream at the top of her voice,

"Shut up, just shut up!!!! don't you dare call me Mom or utter a single word about my son. It is just because of you that my son is suffering this battle of life. Why the hell did you come back Annika?? We were so happy when you were not there in our lives, since the time you entered my Shivay's life, he had just been suffering. " she said with a strange yet scary coldness.

Annika was speechless, every single word that Sheetal said to her pierced her heart away. she was not able to understand that was it actually happening or was she just dreaming a nightmare? "Mo..om" she tried to speak when Sheetal held her arm fiercely and dragged her away from the corridor to the corner and shouted,

"Don't you understand what I just told you? I m not your mom, I m only Shivay's mom and you have no bloody right to call me that. You know what? I was so happy when you went away from my son's life. I was finally able to get my son back, he was coming back to his mother but you are such a thick skin shameless soul, you came back again to snatch him away from me!! But let me tell you one thing very clearly Annika, I wont allow you to ruin my son's life again, I wont let you be around him even for a single second. It was my mistake to accept you as my daughter in law because since the time you came into Shivay's life, he actually forgot that he had a mother too. All he remembered since then was only you and his love for you. I was actually like a furniture that people kept in their home to decorate the house, all he ever cared and talked about was you, his day started with you and ended with you. When Shivay's father left us and made his own family with some other women, I had no one but my son with me. We both were enough for each other, but when you came in his life, I was alone again. All his love, all his attention was only for you.

I finally was relieved when you left. Although, I never got my son back even when you left, Initially he hated you for betraying him still he was always looking around for you, searching for you, and when he got you back in the hospital, he devoted his entire time just looking after you, treating you, praying for your well being. You know what? I never allowed any pain and problem come near him, his father left us but even then I made sure that my son always smiled, but I have seen my son crying bitterly because of you Annika. You gave him nothing but tears and pain. You are nothing but a pathetic piece of torture and depression in his life and I hate you so much. You herad it? I hate you and I always have. I wish you had never entered my Shivay's life, I wish I had never agreed for your and Shivay's relationship. If that had happened, Shivay would never have gone away from me, he would never have loved you more than me and my son never had to suffer like this. Go away!!!! Just go away from my son's life and make sure that you never show me your face again! Go away Annika, I beg in front of you !!!" Sheetal jerked her away and went off.

To say that Annika was stunned and shocked after hearing all this, would be an understatement. She was dead, literally dead. Her senses were not working and her entire existence felt like a burden to her. Whatever Sheetal said to her, broke her into pieces. It was everything but what she had never expected even in her dreams. She considered Sheetal as her own mother, beacause she never had one. All the moments when sheetal cared for her and showered her with her love started roaming in front of her eyes, was that all a lie? Everything was fake ? she never loved her ? Not even for a single second?

The tears were not stopping while she kept standing in the corner lie a dead soul. She didn't know how to face her own self anymore? Sheetal hated her!!! she considered her a "pathetic piece of torture and depression" in her son's life. What was the need of her in Shivay's life now? And technically Sheetal was right, it was only because of her that Shivay was in this condition. He actually faced the most torturing phases in his life only because of her. His brother ( Rahul) started hating him because of Annika, he lost his own best friend (Akash) because of her, he hurted his own mother unintentionally because of her and now he was fighting a war with himself just because of her. She knew Sheetal was right and it was actually important for her to leave Shivay and go away from his life because she cant let him suffer any more, she cant put his life in danger and she cant be a barrier between him and his mother.

Annika had decided that she will go away from Shivay's life and that too forever. "Will you be able to survive without him? Will you be able to live without him Annika?" Her heart asked her, it screamed a "Nooo" , she knew she can't but she had to go. Although going away from him meant going away from life but she had to. She cursed her own destiny for being so cruel with her. Everything that she loved, her destiny made sure to snatch it away and she happily gave it all too but Shivay was something she could not even think of giving away. She never thought that this is how her own love story would end. She could feel her face getting wet with endless tears, wiping them away she went towards Shivay's ward for the last time.

Sheetal was sitting in the ward, crying over the condition of her son. The moment she heard the door knob's cracking voice, she witnessed Annika standing there. Her condition was disheveled and it appeared that she was dying every second but Sheetal ignored what all pity she felt for her and covering her heart and face with the same coldness she asked,
"Why are you still here?"

"Au..ntyy I m just going, I understood what all you said to me. I..I.. just want to see him for the last time before leaving. I..pro..promise I won't ever come back in his life" Annika sobbed folding her hands in front of her.

"I don't even want your shadow near him anymore Annika. You have done enough damage to his life, If you ever loved him just move away for here" Sheetal replied breaking the last hope of Annika.

"Au..ntyy I know you hate me, And I know I deserve this hatered but it's only for the last time that I want to see him. Please aunty, this is the only memory I will be taking away with me which might help me live" she begged in front of her but to her bad luck, Sheetal had turned into a heartless soul and without giving any consideration to her wailing and crying she dragged her outside from the ward and shut the door on her face.

Annika was feeling exhausted and helpless, she knew she can't do anything now and to be true she was not in a condition to. She was tired, tired of all the storms that she was facing, tired of all the lemons that life had been gifting her. She cursed herself and started moving out of the hospital.

Her heart was broken and it was just worried for Shivay. She wanted to see him once before going away from his life forever. She wanted to make sure that he was going to be fine but her life did not show any mercy on her. She knew what she had to do, she decided that a life without Shivay was not worth living. She knew a life without the love of her life was meant to be ended. She was moving like a dead soul, in the middle of the road, outside the hospital. Her eyes were not blinking, her hair were flowing in directionless manner,  her hands were lifeless, her heart was breathing in a very shallow manner, she was ready to lose herself to death. The only thing she had in her mind at that time was to embrace death, coz it won't give her the pain she had been suffering. It won't blame her for things that she never intended to do, it won't ask her to proof herself and her love for Shivay. It won't ask her to stop loving Shivay.
