Shivay was still on call with his mother, when she asked him
"Hmmmm Where is Annika bdw? Keep good care of her and ......"

As soon as his mind registered what his mom asked him, something struck Shivay's head.

"Shitttttt" his mouth escaped and he ran towards his room keeping the receiver and ending the call.
"Hello?? Shivayy?" Sheetal spoke from the other side and when got no reply she hung up.

The last thing he wanted Annika to do was to listen to his conversation with his mom. He knew she cannot handle all this if she heard it like the way they were talking on the phone.

He quickly sprinted towards his room with his heart in his mouth and the moment he entered his room, the scene made him freeze to his place. She was sitting on the floor with her head buried into the edge of the bed.

It did not took a nano second for him to understand that she had actually heard the convo he was having with his mother, looking at the receiver of the phone lying near the bed, he cursed his luck.

Her painful sighs and cries were already giving him a heart attack. Why was life so tough? Why can't he just see her smiling? His legs became heavy and he felt like he can't even stand properly. He could not gather the courage to say anything. But he went near her. He couldn't see her like that.

"An..nika!" he gathered all his courage and called her name.
She didn't bothered to look at him. He was feeling his heart beating slower and slower. Was she not talking to him? Won't she even look at him?

He again called her name, a bit louder this time.
"Annikaa! I!! Listen to me once" he went near her, trying to talk to her.

But it all went in vain, she was still sobbing hard but didn't looked at him. Not even for once. He was getting impatient now. He wanted to talk to her. He wanted her to say something, to complain, to shout, to accuse him. He could take all this on him but can't see her ignoring him like that.
He held her hands and made her stand, forcing her to look at him.
"Annika please talk to me. We can talk. I can tell you everything, just listen to me once." He said with a trembling voice.

"What do you want to say now Shivay? Do you want to tell me that you doubted me and Akash? You doubted our love for you? You doubted our loyalty? What do you want to tell me that what all I had been thinking all this while was a joke? That my love and feelings for you were made fun of? Or do you want to tell me that I was actually been doubted on my character?" She said like a broken soul. He couldn't believe his ears. He hated himself for all that he had done but he couldn't listen to all those things now specially when she was saying all that, it was as if, it was tearing apart his heart.

"Annika, its....It's not like that. I know I had been a total jerk but the circumstances were so against everything and I couldn't think properly. Please let's just tal...." he was cut off in between when she said,

"Shivay I was dying every moment thinking that my life is of no use because all that I had, every single cell that my body possessed belonged to you is being ruined. I thought that I m not worth being yours because my dignity is snatched but the reality was my dignity was snatched much before those goons tried to rape me, the moment you doubted my character was the moment my dignity was ruined" she said sobbing hard. He was now on the verge of crying. His eyes were all red and he just wanted to kill himself at the very same moment. What the hell has he done.

"Annika, please stop crying. I know I was wrong, I m not even trying to clear what all I thought about you but trust me I had died every single moment once I realised what I had done. The moment my mind started working, the moment I found Akash, the moment I found you my heart just kept cursing me. It never believed what my mind thought, not even for a single second. I.. I don't know what went into my mind, when you both went missing, I started searching for you both, I even called you both but the phones went unreachable. The waited for you both. The circumstances was such that I just couldn't think properly. I have been in a constant guilt for doing this Annika, please trust me. I am really sorry." He said sobbing hard, his eyes were dark red and his hands were trembling.

She looked at him, the way he was crying killed her. How can she even see him like that? She would die hundred times before seeing him like that.

She held his hands and wiped away his tears. Seeing him like that would be the last thing she wants to do on this planet. She looked into his eyes, those light blue eyes which showed a lot of guilt and pain in them. She knew he was actually sorry. She knew he was repenting. She nodded her head into a NO, asking him not to cry. He held her hand on his face and said,

"Annika, can't you give me one chance!? I promise I will bring everything back to normal. Everything will be fine. Just give me one chance. I..I want to marry you! I promise I will keep you really happy. Will you marry me? Please?" He asked with tearful eyes and a lot of hope in them.

It was not easy for her to forget everything so easily. With in a span of six months her whole life has taken a sharp turn. Everything was so changed now. She needed time, a lot of time to come out of all this. It was not that she didn't loved him or she doubted his love for her, she was alive today because of him but she needed time. It would be injustice to him if she just said a yes without her will, she knew she won't be able to give her full self to him. Taking a deep sigh she replied,

"Shivay, I am really thankful for everything that you have done for me. I can't even pay back for the concern and care you have shown towards me all this while. I know what all I m saying now will hurt you but I think that is best for both of us right now. I can't marry you Shivay, I have forgiven you But I want sometime, Alone. I can't live here. Sometimes forgiving is easier than forgetting. And time can be the best healer" she said and went away from there. Without even looking at him, she went out like a wind.

He could not react at what all just happened. Did she just left him? She went away from him leaving him alone? She won't marry him? Was this the punishment she was going to give him for his mistake?

"Annikaaaaaaaa" he screamed with numerous tears in his eyes but she had long gone. His cry hardly went into her ear coz she already left the house. How was he going to live without her? Was it even possible?

She was not just his love but his dream. She was his blessing from heaven. How can he let her go like that? He can't! He can't let his angel leave him like that.
"I won't let you go Annika, you can't leave me. I am nothing without you" he sobbed and ran for his life.
