Capítulo 3

Misty exhaled tiredly as she opened her apartment door and walked inside.

She had just finished her morning run and was getting ready to hit the shower. As she made herself into the bathroom she saw she had a voicemail. She pressed the recorder play and stripped naked before turning the shower water on.

"HELLO? IS THIS THING ON?"

"Brock sweetie I got this. You go on now. Ash is waiting for you."

A couple of goodbyes could be heard before Misty heard Suzie's voice, "Hey Misty! So sorry to call this early but I just wanted to remind you of our date today at noon sharp. I'm excited about our girl day today. Bye!"

Misty's eyes widen.

"Crap! I forgot the date."

Misty hissed as the cold shower water dripped her. Today was going to be one hell of a day.

After a few morning stretches and a good healthy morning breakfast the clock hit eleven-thirty. Realizing the sun was pretty bright today Misty put on her shades and got her bag before locking her apartment up and heading down the building.

As soon as she stepped outside her building's lobby Misty was shocked to see Suzie waiting for her with her car parked in front of the driveway.

"Hey Misty!" Suzie exclaimed cheerfully before she pulled her in a bone-crushing hug.

"Oh.. hello Suzie," Misty said, feeling uncomfortable by the second.

After Suzie released her they both got in her car and off they went. As soon as the car was on the road Suzie began talking nonstop and started playing songs that were not the same taste as Misty's. Although Misty didn't like Suzie she did appreciate her being on time. That was something very important to Misty.

As Suzie drove further down the highway Misty was surprised to see they were leaving Cerulean City.

"Great. A road trip.." Misty cursed silently as she gave Suzie a death glare, feeling proud of herself for bringing her shades.

She knew Ash had gone to choose his tuxedo along with Brock. Misty wasn't much of a fan being separated from her two best friends and it gave Brock the advantage to ask Ash all the questions that he wouldn't even dare ask her. Plus Ash was a horrible liar. Brock could crack Ash on the whole engagement lie.

Being in the same car for forty minutes with Suzie Misty learned that her profession was being a pokemon breeder and groomer. She loved to travel. She has traveled to the majority of the region due to her grooming events. Her family is from the Kanto region but she was born in the Kalos region. Misty, however, began getting annoyed when Suzie began talking about how happy and excited she was for her wedding. How Brock was the ideal man for her. How all of this felt like a dream.

Misty almost cried out of joy when they finally reached the wedding store. They had arrived at Porta Vista, more specifically at Hutbert Port. Both ladies got out of the car and entered the boutique, where two young women were waiting for them.

Then the head dressmaker walked in and said, "Oh Suzie you arrived!"

"Hello, Victoria." Suzie smiled before hugging Victoria.

The blonde hair woman gave Misty a huge smile as she asks, "And who might this young lady be Suzie?"

"Victoria I would like you to meet Misty. My maid of honor."

"Hello," Misty said feeling anxious at how Victoria was checking her out.

"Hmm you have such a slim waist and long beautiful legs," the dressmaker commented, before snapping her fingers and saying, "Write this down, ladies."

The two women behind her began writing some notes down.

"Well come along my darlings. We have dresses to try on!" Victoria said excitedly as she led Misty and Suzie into a private room. As they walked into the room Victoria stopped Misty and said, "Darling please take off those shades. Let the world see your eyes."

Misty rolled her eyes before she slowly took her shades off.

"Oh my," Victoria said in amazement as she stared at Misty's captivating eyes.

The two young assistants brought in multiple color clothes and laid them down on the table so Suzie and Misty could choose which one they wanted.

"Misty, what color would you like?" Suzie asked, looking at cloth samples before smiling at Misty.

Misty glared at the colors as all she cared about was getting the hell out of there. What did she care about the color she wore? She wasn't even trying to wear the dress in the first place.

"Hmm, I believe a pastel blue would go lovely with you dear. The color would blend in nicely with your soft skin. It would also cool down a bit of your fiery red hair and it would bring out your beautiful sea eyes," Victoria suggested.

"Sure I'll take it," Misty replied, not interested at all.

Victoria smiled proudly before she ordered her assistants to bring in a couple of dresses. They nodded and left.

"Now how about you dear?" Victoria said turning to Suzie, "How about we start finding you your perfect wedding dress?"

Suzie nodded happily.

A couple of minutes later the assistants came back with various pastel blue color dresses. They gave a couple to Misty so she could try them on and so far there wasn't a single dress that passed Victoria's approval.

"Please this one. Look, it's beautiful." Misty begged tiredly, wearing the twentieth dress now.

"NO. It isn't the ONE!" Victoria said before her eyes locked with something.

"YES!" Victoria hollered before running to one of her assistants who was holding a blue dress. Victoria grabbed the dress before pushing Misty into a dressing room and demanding, "Put this one on right now dear! Hurry!"

Misty groaned before she started taking her dress off. After a few minutes, she walked out and crossed her arms as she said, "Well?"

Victoria shed a tear and her two assistants nodded happily. Misty turned around and looked at herself in the mirror. The dress she was wearing was a beautiful elegant two-piece applique sleeveless mermaid lace dress on.

Victoria clapped happily as Misty kept staring at herself.

At that moment Misty felt beautiful. Just like one of her older sisters. For the first time, she was happy at the way she looked.

"That one. She's wearing that one. All my other maids are wearing a cream-colored dress." Suzie said coming out of the dressing room wearing a bride dress.

"Why do I get a different one then?" Misty asked curiously.

"Brock and I decided that your dress should be special because you're my Maid of Honor!" she said with a warm smile.

Misty felt flattered for a quick second before giving Suzie a sweet smile.

"Thank you.." Misty replied.

"Dear, what in the world are you wearing?" Victoria said glaring at the wedding dress Suzie was wearing.

"It's just the wedding dress I adored doesn't fit me. It's too long and I'm not that tall. So I started trying on any dress I could find." Suzie said sadly.

"Oh dear let's help with that."

As Victoria and her assistants left to find wedding dresses close to Suzie's taste Suzie turned and looked at Misty with a huge grin on her face.

"Hey, Misty why don't you try on the wedding dress I wanted?"

"Why?" Misty said, feeling uncertain of trying on more dresses.

"Just for funsies. I want to see how the dress looks on you. You have such a slim figure and you're pretty tall. Oh please, Misty." Suzie said with big puppy eyes.

"Alright." Misty replied as she walked back into the dressing room.

Suzie now was twirling around happily in her wedding dress as she exclaimed, "Oh I absolutely love it. It's gorgeous!"

Victoria clapped her hands as she screamed happily, "She said yes! This is the dress!"

Her assistants clapped and cheered as Suzie waved at them and walked back into the room to change.

"Where did that dress Suzie first liked go?" Victoria asked her assistants.

They both shrugged.

After a few minutes, Suzie walked out of the room with her normal clothes on.

"Has Misty come out yet?" she asked Victoria.

As soon as Suzie asked that Misty walked out of the dressing room wearing the dress Suzie originally wanted.

"Oh, mon Dieu.." Victoria gasped as she covered her mouth. Suzie's eyes widened and opened her mouth.

"What? Do I have to use high heels now?" Misty asked, suddenly horrified. She despised those shoes. They were like walking on knives.

"No please, we don't want you falling walking down the altar," said Brock's voice.

Misty rapidly turned around and found him walking inside the room grinning. Misty stuck her tongue out to him teasingly.

As Brock's eyes landed on Misty his mouth fell open. Misty began feeling a bit nervous with his stare.

Ash then walked in and froze when he saw Misty wearing the dress.

By that moment Misty began to flush furiously as she saw the way Ash's eyes were captivated by her. It was as if he was worshipping her.

"Wow Misty you look great," Brock said smiling before walking over to Suzie and hugging her.

Misty began to feel scared at how Ash continued to stare at her. It was making her stomach feel a weird sensation.

"Ash quit it. It's not like I am some sort of goddess or something."

Ash clenched his fists as he muttered something under his breath before he asked, "What are you doing wearing that? If I recall Suzie is getting married, not you."

"Haha, very funny Ash." Misty snapped before she crossed her arms.

"You do look pretty cute tho," Ash said grinning at her.

Misty's heart shot up as she glared at Ash and said, "Shut up and help me get down from this mini stage."

Ash offered her his hand and helped her down, never letting his eyes off her.

"Damn Ash. Hurry up with that wedding. It sure looks like Misty wants to tie the knot fast." Brock whistled as Ash glared at him.

"What? You guys are engaged?" Victoria asked Misty.

Ash looked down at the floor as Misty answered, "Yes! He's my fiancé Ash Ketchum."

"Ketchum? You mean as the Pokèmon Master?"

"The one and only. Isn't that right love?" Misty said giving a peck to one of Ash's cheek.

"Oh, I knew you two would end up together. I just knew it! The way Ash looked at you and the way he talks about you in interviews. The whole world practically knew Ash was madly in love with you Ms. Waterflower!" Victoria said smiling.

Misty giggled but deep in her mind, she was confused.

"What the hell is this lady talking about? Ash does not like me." Misty thought.

"Oh, you just got to come back when you start planning your wedding. We'll find the dress of your dreams here!" Victoria suggested as Misty nodded before holding Ash's hand firmly.

"Will do!"

As they all walked out of the bridal shop together they prepared their engines so they could visit the wedding venue which was also in Hutbert Port.

Brock suggested that Misty go on Ash's car whereas he would go in Suzie's car. Misty didn't like the idea of leaving Brock alone with Suzie but before she could reject Brock's offer Ash quickly grabbed Misty by her hand and said, "That's a fantastic idea, Brock. That gives me time to talk with my sugar queen here."

Brock snorted at the nickname Ash called Misty whereas Suzie cooed. Misty, on the other hand, was screaming from the inside but cooed back at Ash as she replied, "That's right sweet cheeks." Ash forced a smile before practically dragging Misty to his car.

The minute Ash's car was out of the parking lot Misty said dangerously, "What the actual hell was that Ketchum?"

Ash forced a grin as he said, "You asked for it babygirl."

"Enough with the stupid nicknames asshole."

Ash laughed before turning serious and asking, "So did you two have fun shopping?"

"Sure.. I guess," Misty said sarcastically before she closed her eyes and pulled her window down. She needed a mental break right now and what better form to take a break than to admire the ocean Ash's car was cruising beside.

In Suzie's Car

"Oh, honey, we had such a great time!" exclaimed Suzie. "Misty is a sweet person."

"Of course she is," Brock laughed before adding "Why do you think she's one of my best friends."

Brock then grabbed Suzie's hand and kissed it, never letting go of the steering wheel. He then looked at her as he said, "I love you."

"I love you too Brock."

Upon arriving at the wedding venue Misty was amazed at how beautiful the building was. It looked like such an elegant castle outside and it was so fancy inside. The salon was so beautiful. What touched Misty the most however was the breathtaking view from the garden outside the venue. It overlooked the entire ocean and it was just perfect.

"Imagine saying your vows here," Ash said suddenly appearing beside her.

"Yeah.." Misty said imagining herself saying her wedding vows at this precise place.

But when she tried imagining saying her vows to Brock she couldn't. Something didn't feel right.

"Mist you okay?" Ash asked with a concerned expression.

Misty looked at him with a panic expression. Her eyes flickered behind him towards Brock and Suzie rehearsing their vows before the Priest.

"I can't," Misty whispered.

"You can't what?" Ash asked stepping in closer to her and grabbing her arms to calm her.

"Nothing. It's nothing. Forget I said anything."

They both stood there in complete silence just observing the ocean waves. Misty saw it was beginning to get late and before she knew it Ash's stomach growled followed by hers.

They both looked at each other before they burst out laughing.

"I say we ditch these two and go eat," Ash suggested.

Misty was hesitant for a second but agreed to his suggestion when her stomach growled again.

As they made their way back to Ash's car Brock stopped them as he called out, "What? You guys aren't going to have dinner with us?" looking a bit disappointed.

"Umm... we're sorry Brock. Another time."

Before Brock could argue Suzie stepped in giggling as she said, "Leave them, babe. Don't you see they want to spend some time alone? I did steal Misty for majority of the day. The poor guy needs attention too from his future wife."

Misty gritted her teeth at how Suzie was teasing them. Ash just stayed silent before he took the lead and started making his way back to his car.

"Oh and Misty before you go Brock and I want to go on a double date with you guys tomorrow night. Would that be possible?"

Misty only smiled.

"Ash!"

"No Misty. I can't."

"Please, Ash! Please!!" Misty begged as Ash took another bite of his burger.

"You know if I could go, I would, but there is no way I can go tomorrow," he replied, sighing.

"Why?" Misty demanded.

"Personal matters," he replied softly.

"Ash," Misty growled.

"I have a date with my mom," Ash replied blushing furiously.

Misty sighed. For a second, she thought Ash was hiding something from her. Something he never did to her.

"You scared me for a minute, Ash. For a second I thought you had a date or something." Misty teased.

He avoided her eyes and kept eating.

"Hey."

Ash flickered his attention back to her.

"I'm sorry for being hard on you. Thank you for all of this. Just know I love you." Misty said before giving Ash a sweet smile.

Misty then reached across the table to hold his hand.

"Damn it Misty." Ash thought.

"I love you too Mist.." Ash replied as he squeezed her hand back.
