Capítulo 14
Love
Something everyone desires but only a few ever get.
Something Misty so stubbornly tried to deny from her life.
Yet in the end something she was so hard fighting for.
If someone would have told Misty she would have found love in her life she would've smacked them with her mallet.
Now wasn't the case.
As Brock spoke, with sincerity, his vows to Suzie Misty could not help but shed a few tears. She deeply cared for Brock, that was for sure. But... it wasn't in a romantic way. Realizing now how many nighters she spent with him as he studied for his doctoral exams.
The number of times they would go out to eat lunch or go to the movies. She didn't realize that their relationship, their friendship, was always a sibling relationship. Instead of feeling a hot rage of jealousy when Brock caressed Suzie's cheek, she felt a burning sense of happiness.
She was happy for Brock. He had found the one in his life. The one who would now be always there for him. For that, she was forever grateful for Suzie. She had fallen in love with Brock for who he is. She would now take the spot Misty realized she held.
Now she wasn't the only best friend Brock had.
Like a sister would feel when her brother was getting married Misty couldn't help but cry cheerfully as the priest announced to Brock and Suzie husband and wife.
Brock had been so extra as to twirl Suzie when he kissed her passionately. Misty flickered her eyes at Ash and saw him clapping happily for his best friend.
"Psst."
"Huh," Misty said, looking at one of the bridesmaids.
"Stop staring at him. You look like a baby pokemon who has just been kicked." the bridesmaid whispered back.
Misty avoided her gaze.

Misty let out a tired sigh as she let her hair fall. Her hair had grown in the last few months. It was so long that it reached her waist.
"YOU!"
Misty practically turned around a comb of hair by her hand.
Clover, one of Suzie's bridesmaids and her best friend, was standing with her hands by her waist while her rage was fuming with rage.
"Can I help you?" Misty asked, not understanding why this chick was screaming at her.
"YOU MADE MY BEST FRIEND CRY."
Misty cringed.
"AND ON HER WEDDING DAY! YOU BI-"
"Okay ENOUGH! Jeez!" Misty challenged back, the comb never leaving her hand grip.
Clover looked ready to go off on her when Misty added, "We already made up. Chill."
Clover blinked," What?"
Misty groaned before repeating, "You heard me. We made up. I apologized for all that sh!t I put her under."
Clover narrowed her eyes, "She forgave you?"
Misty sighed, "Yes but I have to start from scratch. I need to earn her trust this time."
Clover smiled wickedly, "Good."
Misty rolled her eyes before turning her back at Clover and resuming to brushing her hair.
"Hey, I wasn't done Waterflower."
Misty raised an eyebrow as she turned back at Clover, "What is it this time Clover?"
Clover smirked," You may have gotten Suzie's punishment but you didn't receive punishment from her best friend."
Misty glared at her, "Why should you punish me? I didn't do anything to you."
"Maybe but you did hurt my best friend and I also found out how you changed the wedding dish dressing. You knew Suzie was allergic to nuts yet you specifically changed the menu to add nuts in the salad dressing."
Misty's eyes widen, "Cr4p! I forgot about that."
Clover shook her head before she continued, "Don't worry. I ordered the waiters to serve Brock and Suzie the salad dressing I made. Don't want you killing my best friend at her wedding."
Misty blushed embarrassingly, "Oh I feel so ashamed. What the hell was I thinking?"
Clover shrugged, "Girl you were mad jealous, how am I supposed to know what you were thinking?"
Misty scratched her head before asking, "So what do you want?"
Clover smirked evilly, "Glad you asked Waterflower. Glad you asked."
Clover tossed her blonde hair to her left side before she started walking towards Misty with a stupid wicked smirk, "I want something from you that's very precious."
Clover's eyes held mischief in them as she continued, "Something you worked very hard to conceal. Something when gone you can never regain. Something so shattering."
Misty closed her eyes tightly.
"Lord have mercy on me." Misty thought.

*Piano begins to play a soft melody*
Misty stands in the middle of the stage, her hair undone, gracefully stopping by her waist. The spotlight then falls under her and everyone puts their attention on her. Brock and Suzie sit at their table with big wide eyes as they try to register the fact that Misty is one stage.
Misty stands with a nervous look in her face before she clears her throat softly and pulls the microphone in her hand up to her face.
"Am I blue
Am I blue
Ain't these tears, in my eyes telling you
Am I blue
You'd be too
If each plan
That you had
Done fell through
There was a time
I was your only one
But now I'm
The sad and lonely one
Lonely"
Clover was sobbing while she listened to Misty's singing. Another one of Suzie's bridesmaid passed Clover a handkerchief.
Clover graciously took the handkerchief before giving it back to the bridesmaid as she was also crying.
Well, a lot of the guests were crying at the moment.
"Was I gay
Until today
Now he's gone, and we're through
Am I blue"
Misty stopped singing and bowed down slightly before she walked away from the stage. The entire guests stood up and cheered for Misty. Claps could be heard from miles away.
Brock looked at Suzie with a cocky grin.
Suzie narrowed her eyes, "What did you do?"
Brock shrugged before yelping in pain when Suzie yanked his left ear.
"OW!"
"What did you do?!"
Brock grinned cheekily, "I might have videotaped Misty singing..."
Suzie glared at Brock as she said threateningly, "Don't you dare post that or share that to anyone. She just poured her heart out in that song. I swear Brock if I catch you disobeying this one command I'm giving you help me so God I will-"
"I promise. It'll be safely hidden!" Brock pleaded before Suzie let go of his ear.
"It better," Suzie said before she was interrupted by a red face Misty.
Suzie couldn't tell if Misty's face was red from the blushing of singing on stage or red because she practically ran from the stage to their table.
"Have you guys seen Ash?"
"Uh-" Brock began before Dawn cut in from beside Misty and said, "I just saw him leave from the back door a few minutes ago. He looked really mad. Maybe you should leave him alone for tonight."
Misty shook her head before grabbing Suzie's and Brock's hand, "I am so happy for both of you. Really. I wish I could party with you guys more but I need to leave. I need to-"
Brock nodded, with a small smile, "We understand. Go to him Mist."
Misty smiled at Brock and Suzie before she vanished from their sights.
"Wow, they're both stubborn as hell. Twenty bucks they make up tonight."
"Forty they make up tomorrow!"
"Fifty they make up in a week." Brock finalized.
"Deal!" both women screamed.
