Chapter 60| Sana's Condition
Hearing his confession Sana felt giddy. Suddenly, she had an urge to pinch herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming. Though, Daanish was shocked before, but now he was calm. His grip loosened but Sana doesn't move her hand, she stared into his eyes. Stunned, blown away.
Oh-My-God! Daanish loves me? Me? – Sana's heart and brain danced with joy.
Daanish moved his hand and looked away. Sana watched him, massage his forehead with his fingers, his other hand resting on his hips. He looked back at her and held her shoulder. Finally, since his confession, Sana blinked.
'I love you, Sana. I don't know when I fell in love with you and how. I liked you, in a friendly way, since you were a teenager. As adults, when we met again, I realized how much we had in common. I felt connected with you, I enjoyed your company. Your looks, your personality just made me fall in love with you.' He confessed calmly.
Sana stared at him for a while before her head begun to spin and she fainted. She fell forward into Daanish's arms.

Sana's eyelids fluttered opened and she stared up at the hotel room's ceiling. For a second she wondered what she was doing here? She was in the garden area. Then, she recollected Daanish's confession and her heart skipped a beat. She felt someone holding her hand. She turned her head and found a worried looking Daanish. He held her palm tightly and leaned.
'Sana? Are you alright?' He asked patting her forehead. Sana nodded. She moved her hand from his grip and placed her palms on the bed. She pushed herself up. Daanish felt hesitant to touch her.
Sana got up and rested her back against the bedpost.
'Water?' Daanish asked. Sana shook her head. Daanish lowered his gaze. Sana held his hand that was resting on the bed. He looked up at her.
'You seriously love me?' She asked. Still, she was in disbelieve. Daanish looked into her eyes and nodded.
'And Nadia?' Sana felt her heartbeat increase as she anticipated his answer. He sighed and shifted.
'Letting go of Nadia won't be easy.' He looked helplessly at her. Sana's heart dropped. He leaned and placed his other palm over their palms. 'I need time.' He said softly. Sana slipped her hand from his grip and he looked worried.
She looked front for a moment and then looked at him, - 'You have time till the reception, Daanish. Fix everything.' – She noticed Daanish stiffened, - 'I don't want to run behind the smoke.' – She gulped and continued, - 'If you fail then I will say yes to Ramiz the next day of the reception.' Sana said sternly. Daanish retracted and leaned against the chair. Sana knew she was rude, but she doesn't want to go down the road that will inevitably lead her to a heartbreak. Just like how Daanish can't see her with another man, she can't see him with another woman. Only, she knew how much it hurts her seeing Nadia sticking to him.
'Sana?'
She turned her head and looked at him. Daanish wanted to hold her hand but retracted his hand. She looked at his hand and then back at him. He shifted and adjusted his glasses. His eyes darted nervously before his gaze fixed on her.
'Do you -- Do you love me too?' He asked. Nervousness evident from his voice. Sana blinked at him and then looked away.
Should I confess too? - Sana wondered. If she confesses, then maybe Daanish won't take her threat seriously. She bit her lower lip.
'Sana? Before I take a huge step, a decision, I need to be sure that you will be there with me?' He said.
Sana looked at him. He was right. But she simply shifted and moved the duvet from over her.
'Coffee?' She asked him. Daanish blinked confusedly at her. She smiled at him. Hesitantly, Daanish smiled back. She walked towards the bedside table. Daanish watched her pour water into the kettle and switch on the current. She emptied the coffee powder into the two mugs and some sugar. She looked up and found Daanish looking at her. She smiled lowering her gaze. After confession, everything seemed so beautiful. Sana blushed tugging her hair behind her ear as she fidgeted with the empty coffee sachets. Daanish watched her. He had a crazy urge to walk up to her and hold her. Instead, he clenched his fists.
Control Daanish, control – He told himself. Momentarily, he looked away but couldn't stop himself and looked at her again. She kept shifting in her place. Daanish watched her with a smile.
Sana poured the hot steaming water into the two cups and held it.
'Come. The view from the balcony is amazing.' She gestured with her head. Daanish nodded and stood up. He walked up to her and together they walked into the balcony. Daanish complimented the view and Sana smiled. She was missing these compliments, she was missing him, badly.

They stood by the broad railing and continued to drink their coffee silently. Sana didn't say anything and Daanish doesn't probe either. He didn't even compliment the coffee and Sana didn't mind. As Sana took a sip she noticed Daanish place his free hand on the railing. She extended her hand and placed her palm over his. He looked at her. She smiled and placed her coffee mug beside her. Daanish also kept his coffee mug and looked at her. Sana gripped his palm tightly and stared confidently into his eyes.
'I love you too, Daanish.' – She noticed Daanish's expression change, he looked much relaxed. She smiled lowering her head, she fidgeted with his index finger.
'I had always liked you, and just like you I don't know when I fell in love with you,' – She looked up and found him smiling at her, - 'But I know one thing that I am irrevocably in love with you. Daanish, I can't live without you.' As she finished she felt tears in her eyes.
Sana closed her eyes as Daanish held her face and kissed her forehead. She smiled to herself. Slowly, she opened her eyes and stared into his hazel eyes. The close-up of his face was even more stunning. Daanish took a step back and firmly clenched her palm in his. With his free hand, he moved aside the side bangs from her forehead and she smiled.
'Daanish.' Sana began uncertainly, she didn't want to spoil the mood, but it was necessary, - 'Please decide wisely. You have time till the reception.' Sana said and watched the smile disappear from his face.
He blinked at her, - 'You are planning to commit to Ramiz?' He asked looking stunned.
'If you are planning to not leave Nadia.' Sana clarified. Daanish took a second before nodding his head. Sana felt disappointed when he let go of her hand.
'Fair enough.' He said looking at her. Sana nodded. They looked away.
************************
Few minutes passed and Daanish took his leave. Together they walked towards the door but before Sana could open the door, someone rang the door-bell. Sana panicked and looked worriedly at Daanish. As always, he was calm. He blinked at her and gestured her to open the door.
Sana gulped and opened the door. She was surprised to see Ramiz on the other side. He beamed at her, but his smile faded on seeing Daanish with her.
'Bhai?' He asked confusedly. Daanish smiled at him.
'Actually, I had come to talk to Sana about the wedding.' He made up an excuse on spot. Sana simply nodded. She was speechless and slightly worried about being found with Daanish. Ramiz smiled.
'I hope I didn't disturb you guys?' He asked. His gaze darting from Sana to Daanish.
Daanish shook his head and gave out a small laugh, - 'No, Bro.' He patted his shoulder. Then, he looked at Sana.
'Bye.' He said. Sana simply nodded. Daanish then looked at Ramiz and walked out of the room. After he had left Ramiz looked back at Sana. He called her for practice and Sana agreed. She wondered where Saba was, but Ramiz cleared the confusion.
'The girls haven't returned from the beach yet.' He said.
