Ainsley POV:

I was walking into my house after practice when I got a text.

New Message from Keaton: Hey Be at your place at 7-ish just leaving my house. Had to drop

Me: OK sounds good I just got outta practice, I'm gonna shower quick. I should be done by then but if I'm not just walk in. My parents aren't at home they went out tonight.

Keaton: OK sounds good, see ya in 15.

I hopped in the shower after picking out what I was going to wear. I decided on a cute blue blouse and some holey jeans. I showered quickly then, got the blow dryer out and straitened my hair. I threw some perfume on and put my favorite boots on. I looked at the clock and it said 7:15. I grabbed my purse and rushed downstairs. Keaton was sitting on the couch when I walked down.

"Hey sorry, It took a little longer than I thought it was going to to get all ready. Have you been waiting long?" I said.

"I got here about 10 minutes ago, so not too long. Its OK Ains, I had some emails to check anyways." He said. "Are you ready to go?" He asked.

"Yep, I am ready." I answered. Keaton followed me to the door I grabbed my keys. We walked out the door and I locked it behind me. We walked down the driveway to his Red Camaro. Keaton opened the passenger side door for me.

"Thank you." I thanked him.

"Anytime." He answered. He grinned and held eye contact with him for a couple seconds before he shut the door and headed for the drivers side.

We drove to Yolo which was only 5 minute drive from my house in almost complete silence. We made a little small talk but not much.

As I walked in to Yolo Froyo Keaton held the door for me. I thanked him and walked up to the counter to order.

"I'd like a strawberry froyo please." I said.

"OK, is that all for you ma'am?" The lady working the counter with the name tag Sophie asked.

I was getting my wallet open when Keaton said. "I've got it. I'd like a small Watermelon froyo please." He said to Sophie. "I've got yours Ains." He told me. I argued with him But I knew I wasn't going to win so I finally gave in.

He handed Sophie a $10 bill and said keep the change as she handed us our froyo. We walked over to a small booth in the corner. We sat in silence for about 30 seconds and I started to say something to break the silence.

"Thank you for the Froyo. You didn't have to pay for mine." I said.

"Trust me it's no problem, I was the one who asked you here anyways." He said.

"Why did you ask me here anyways?" I asked.

"I know things were awkward earlier today and I just wanted to make sure you are okay?"He stated.

"I am OK, why wouldn't I be. But Keat, is something up with you? Because you never stare at me in class or choose me on your team in P.E." I answered.

" There's nothing up with me, I just thought you could tell. I like you Ains and I have for a while now. I've been trying for over a year to show that to you. That's why I bring you coffee and stare at you and ask you to be on my team. I like to be around you." He confessed.

I was shocked. Maya was right.

"Are you being serious?"" I asked. Almost in tears.

"Yes Ainsley, I am being serious. I wouldn't lie to you." He said. "Do you feel the same?" He asked.

"To be honest with you, Yes I do feel the same way and I have since I was 7." I confessed. "But what about Lola? She would kill us if she found out." I finished.

"Lola can take it trust me. But maybe we should keep it on the down low for now." He suggested.

We made small talk while we finished our yogurt. I still couldn't believe that Keaton Colt the superstar quarterback liked me Ainsley Morris. I was shocked.

We walked back to his car silently. Once we started driving he turned off of California Boulevard and pulled into Blackwood park and parked.

"I am really glad you feel the same way." Keaton said. "I've liked you for a while. Since I was a Freshman to be exact."

I blushed but he couldn't see it because it was dark.

"Really Keat." I said almost in tear.

"Yes really, and I love the way you call me Keat. I love everything about you." Keaton says.

"Keat, I love how you call me Ains, it makes me so happy. I love everything about you too." I said.

"Lets go for a walk." Keaton suggested.

"OK." I responded and got out of the car.

We walked down to the dock and st on the bench. Keaton grabbed my hand. He kissed it.

"You know you were really cute earlier when you blushed in English." He said.

I blushed again. "I. Uh. Thank you Keat." I said.

"Sorry to cut this short Keat. But, I have to get home I have weight room at 5:30 tomorrow morning." I said.

Keaton didn't say anything, but I could tell he wasn't mad. We walked slowly back to his car. We drove back to my house. and sat in the driveway for a couple minutes.

"I hope you enjoyed our date." Keaton said with a smile.

"This was a date?" I asked.

"Only if you want it to be." He replied.

"Of course I want it to be." I said with a huge grin. "But I want to be the one to tell Lo about this." I added.

"Of course. I figured you would. I am just glad you feel the same." He gushed.

"I've gotta go Keat it's already 10:30. I will text you later. OK?" I said.

"OK well, sleep well. See ya tomorrow." He answered.

"Bye Keat." I almost whispered .

"Bye Ains." He responded.

I opened his car door and walked inside my house. By this time my parents were home. My parents were sitting on the couch when I went inside. They were watching Blue Bloods- my mom had an unusual obsession with Tom Selleck.

"Was that Keaton Colts car just now?" My mom Amanda Morris asked. My mom was very pretty, she looked like an older version of me.

"Um yeah. He gave me a ride home from Yolo Froyo." I said.

"Oh OK, does Lola know.?" Mom asked.

"Um No not yet. I was just about to text her." I answered. Then I walked up the stairs to my bedroom.

I sent a message to Lola.

Me: Hey Lo, Um Just thought I'd let you know Keat gave me a ride home from Yolo tonight.

Lola: That's not a problem, why were you at Yolo thought without me?

Me: I walked over there after practice and he was there and offered to give me a ride home. I went without you because I didn't wanna bother you.

Lola: Oh okie, But that's all he did right... Like he only gave you a ride home?

Technically I wasn't lying because that is all he did. But, I hated lying to Lo. I hated breaking the contract.

Me: Of course Lo, what else would I do with him?

Lola: Just making sure. See ya tomorrow sis. Pick me up at 8?

Me: Yep! See ya at 8. Love u.

Lola: luv u too, sleep well.

Then I got a text from Keaton.

New message from Keaton: Hey i had fun tonight. I hope you did too. Goodnight cutie.

Me: I had fun too Keat. See you tomorrow. Goodnight Football star.

Then I turned off my light and that was the first night I dreamed about Keaton Colt as my hopefully future boyfriend.

Keaton's POV:

I just pulled into my driveway when I texted her goodnight. She was so damn cute. I've liked her for years. The only problem is that she is my sisters best friend. Lola would be pissed if she found out.

Mitch texted me.

New message from M-Dog: Hey how did it go with Ainsley?

Oh shit I forgot I told him about her.

Me: It went well, she said she felt the same way.

M-Dog: Nice only a matter of time before you get laid man.

Me: Ains isn't like that. I don't want to rush things if ya know what I mean. I respect her and I don't want to hurt her.

God only knows what Lola would do if she found out about us being together, let alone if she found out I hurt her.

M-Dog: Oh you really must care bout her then.

Me: Yea I really do she just doesn't know how much yet.

M-Dog: Im going to bed night.

Me: Night.

Mitch Collins was the kinda guy who got all the girls. I'm pretty sure he's slept with every girl in the junior and senior class. He was also a party animal.

It was almost 11:30 so I decided to get some sleep. I crawled into bed and fell asleep to the thought of Ainsley Morris being my date to the Hoco dance.

BEEP... BEEP.... BEEP.... I woke up to my annoying alarm clock. I stumbled out of bed and into the bathroom. I hopped into the shower to help me wake up a bit. As I got out I looked at my phone is was 7:08 and I had 3 texts already. The first one was from Ainsley

New Message From Ainsley M: Hey! Good Morning. Can't wait for English today.

Me: Good Morning to you too. I can't wait for English either. I am bringing you coffee anything else ya want?

Ainsley M: You don't have to bring me coffee, but a cinnamon swirl muffin would be great too.

Me: Anything for you Ains. And yes I'd like to do something nice for my Girlfriend.

Ainsley M: Your girlfriend? I don't remember earning that title?

Oh shit I wasn't going to ask her that til tonight

Me: Um well would you like to be?

Ainsley M: Of course Keat, I'd love to.

Me: You just made my day Ainsley Morris.

Ainsley M: See ya at English loverboy.

I had two more messages one from Cooper asking when open gym was. I texted him back and The other was from Ashley she asked if I wanted to hang out tonight. I ignored her text. I got dressed quickly because I was running behind it was already 7:50 and If I wanted to pick up coffee I had to leave in the next 5 minutes. Lola was in the kitchen buttering her bagel when I said goodbye to my parents.

"What's the hurry?" Lola asked.

"Nothing, just gonna grab coffee before school at Embers." I stated.

"Ooh, could you get me one, caramel frappe please with whipped cream?" She asked.

"Nope sorry already have my hands full." I said snickering to myself.

" Ugh, fine. So who's the lucky girl getting one?" Lola asked.

"Wouldn't you like to know." I said.

"You do realize I know who you like don't you the whole school could tell yesterday. Cooper asked me if you had a thing for Ainsley since you were being so nice to her in class." She said. "Also I don't have a problem with you being with Ains, but do note if you break her heart I will break your face. I know in the past we made a rule of no dating family members but that was years ago and I think it's time to reconsider anyways. Also I know you didn't just give her a ride home last night that's not something you would do. I am not that stupid" She finished with a giggle.

I stood there dumbfounded.

"Damn Cooper. How do you know I wasn't just being nice just because." I said.

"I've seen the way you look at her. Its very obvious." Lola stated with a blank stare.

"I gotta go." I say quickly and under my breath I mutter. "Shit, Ains is gonna kill me. I grabbed my backpack, keys and football bag and threw them into my back seat. I got in the driver seat and drove to Embers. As I pulled in the drive thru I ordered us our coffees.

"Good morning welcome to Embers, what can I get you today?" The barista asked.

"I'd like 1 iced vanilla latte with a pump of hazelnut and a Iced coffee with cream." I said.

"Is that all for you?" She asked.

"Oh can I get a cinnamon swirl muffin too please?" I asked.

"Sure thing. That would be 10.52 at the window please." The barista said.

I paid the barista and grabbed the coffee and muffin. I had to speed to school or else I'd be late. I pulled into the school parking lot with 2 minutes to spare. I dumped my stuff in my locker and headed to English.

"Is that for me?" Ainsley asked.

"Yep, and just how you like it a pump of hazelnut." I smiled.

"Thank you. You didn't have too." Ainsley said.

I just winked at her and she blushed. I kept looking over at he during English and she always smiled back to me. Just before the bell rang she passed me a note.

Keat- Thank you for the coffee.You know you didn't have too. I am so glad we feel the same about this. I think I am going to tell Lola soon. Maya knows just so you know. I'll see ya at P.E Lover boy.-Ains

Damn I loved it when she called me lover boy. The bell rang and I just smiled and nodded at her. I couldn't wait to see her at P.E.
