Rara had to use crutches for a few weeks. Jake insisted she should just comfortably use a wheelchair and he will take her around,but she firmly refused.

"You don't need to bother.Thank you." She would say.

Ever since the incident on the track,everyone was gossipping over Rara and Jake's relationship.
So she didn't want to be seen next to him,hoping they would get bored soon if they didn't spot them.

But did Jaeyun care? NoH✨

As she limped on her crutches,he would walk right with her,holding her books for her. No matter how hard she tried,he wouldn't go away.

He walked her to class and made sure she sat comfortably.

"How long is your class for?" He asks with puppy eyes as he kneels down in front of her desk.

"It's 50 minutes long..."she says.

He chuckles and then looks sideways to a couple of other students who were squealing looking at them.

"How long is it actually?" He asks with his flirty smile.

"30 minutes." They giggle as he chuckles,Rara facepalms.

"Lying eh?" He smirks at Rara who rolls her eyes.

"Yeah,so that I can run away before you get me again."

"No...I won't get you again..."he solemnly says,making her raise an eyebrow in confusion.

He leans in and smirks,"Cause I will never let you go in the first place."

Rara shakes her head as the classroom echoes in squeals as he shyly bows and takes his leave.

"He is nuts..."she sighs.

Jake has a giddy feeling within him as he he smiles like a fool walking down the corridoor.

"I won't let go of my precious treasure again..." He blushed.

The scene from the racetrack flashed in his mind.

How he swooped her up in his arms and carried away as she stared at him in awe. Like a fairytale~

Suddenly a thought came across his mind.

"How did Rara get hurt in the first place?"

His face turned to a frown.

"Someone did it on purpose. There's no way such pieces of glass would find their way into shoes. Plus Rara is always careful,she dusts and checks her shoes before she brings them from home. Someone definitely tampered with it here at school."

"But who could commit something so malicious...someone who hates Rara that much that they could go to such an extent to hurt her?"

He thought really hard,but no one came to mind.

Rara was a sweet girl,and very helpful and kind. As much as he knew,she didn't have any enemies. She was never even bullied. This is the first time such a thing happened to her.

"I will find you,whoever you are...watch out." He clenched his fist in rage.

"Jake Sim?" He hears a fairly familiar voice.

He turns around to spot Vinnie.

"Oh hi..." He is quite surprised to see her in the sports block.

"What are you doing here?" He asked curiously.

"Ah,I came to see you actually.Can we talk for a moment?" She asks and he nods.

They both go to the café.

"Can I buy you a drink?" He asked.

"Ayee...since when did you become a gentlemen?"she chuckles as he blushes.

"That's influencer Rara's credit I see..."Vinnie smirks and laughs.

"Anyway,how is Rara?" She asked with concern.

"Stubborn."his answer made her burst out laughing.

"She won't even let me help her or use a wheelchair...she is so fiesty and strong...but again that's what I like about her..."he smiles.

"I will be rooting for you." Vinnie gives him a thumbs up.

Their caramel macchiato just arrived.

A few sips later,Vinnie lowered her tone.

"It's about Vinnie's injury,I think I  should tell you something..."

Jake knew this was something important and he looked at her in anticipation.

"That day, I was with Rara in the bathroom,I came out just when I received a call from Hee. As I was going out,I bumped into someone who was going right in.
There was no one inside when I left her in there...so...the glass..."

Jaeyun knew what she was implying.

"Who is that?" He asked in rage.

"That girl on the women's 400m."

Jang Liyah was chilling by the swimming pool as she listened to music,bopping her head.

"Ah,I feel good today." She says with a wicked smile.

"Seeing that girl limp around makes me feel good..."

"But Jake... He actually got back on the team. I should get back with him too...I thought he probably be depressed I left him,but no,he is behind his childhood friend. Such a playboy really...tsk tsk." She shakes her as she sips on a mocktail.

"Jang Liyah!!" The sudden outburst startled her. She looked in the direction of the voice to find Jaeyun right there,gritting his teeth.

He walks towards her in rage,which made her gulp. She hd never seen him this angry.

"Babe..."

"Shut your filthy mouth,you disgusting woman!" His words shock her.

"Excuse me? Are you out of your mind? How dare you speak to me like that?" Her pride his hurt, especially with the students gathering around them.

"How else can I address a demon like you? How dare you hurt Rara! You put glass in her shoes!"

"What?"

"It was Jang Liyah?"

"Heol. Daebak."

They all pull out their phones and start filming the scene. This was the drama they signed up for.

Liyah didn't understand a thing.

"How the hell did you find out?!I mean....why do you think it's me? You don't have any proof! How dare you falsely accuse me?" She screamed like a mad woman.

"I have evidence. My friend filmed you entering the bathroom that day and exciting before Rara did. You were the only in there.Do you want me to release this?" He threateningly takes out his phone.

She is scared.

"It must be that damn girl I bumped into." She swore under her breath.

But she wouldn't lose this fight.

"So what? You think your pathetic lives matter? Why am I wasting my time on you even?"

"Jang Liyah...I really wish I could slap you..."he grits his teeth.
If a guy was in her place,he would have beaten them up.

"Woah...good for you atleast you have some morals,you freaking orphan-"she is never able to continue that sentence

What happens next blew everyone's minds,even Jake's.

A flying punch landed on Liyah's face,which probably broke some teeth. It was so intense,gi was sent flying into the pool.

Everyone look to see who it was.

"Vinnie?" Jaeyun blinks in surprise.

She rubs her palm.

"That felt good."

He still watches her in awe.

She chuckles, "I got my morals to you know? Eye for an eye...in this case I would say..."she turns her attention the drenched girl in the pool glaring at her.

"Teeth for feet...that's the price of hurting our Rara...miss girl will probably have a toothless smile her whole life." She grinned.

Jake chuckles and the students start laughing as Liyah yells.

"How dare you all!!I will end all of you! My father shall hear about this!!!"

"First help yourself." Vinnie snorts and leaves with Jaeyun.

"You were cool..."he admits.

"Okay,since I helped you,do me a favour." She asks.

"What?" He asks.

"Let's go on a date!"

"Whatt?!?!?" He is dumbfounded.

"Yeah."she nods coolly.

"Excuse me lady,have you lost your mind?" He says in shock.

She slaps him on the back.

"Yah! Listen to the whole thing! Yes a date! But not us together! A double date!"

Realisation hits Jake.

"Aah...double date...not like us together..." She punches him again.

"The only date I would ever go with you is the Squid Game Marble Game Date. I will do my best to get rid of you there."she evilly smirks.

"The feelings are mutual sis." He laughs.

"Anyway...why do you want a double date?"he asks out of curiosity.

"Well,it would benefit both of us,since you are trying to win Rara's heart anyways...and me...umm.." she is shy.

Jake smirks.

"And you?"

"I want to go out with Heeseung ssi...I like him!" She confesses.

"I knew it. I always did.No matter what universe you guys have always been like this. You just couldn't see it. So dumb!" He chuckles.

"Yeah,says the guy who didn't know he was in love with his best friend for over 20 years." She snorts.

He smiles sheepishly.

"We all are fools."

"Anyway. We will plan this together and make it work out okay?" He reassures her.

"Thanks Jake!" She grins.

"I should thank you..."he blushes.

"A date with Rara..."
