Jay was fast asleep on a sunday morning.

The doorbell rang.

"Aaa Jake aa...please get that will youu...."he mutters as he hugs his pillow tighter. But Jake doesn't seem to budge.

The doorbell keeps ringing.

"Aish!" Jay wakes up in a grouchy way to attend to the door.

He swings it open.

"Why are  you creating a ruckus this early?!" He says without seeing who it was.

"Uhh...I am sorry Jay yah..."Rara is standing right there.

"Uh? Rara? You...I am sorry,I didn't know it was you...I am sorry..."Jay is pleasantly surprised to see her here. He invites her in.

"Miss me already?"he asks cheekily as she smiles.

"Actually...I came here to see Jaey-Jake..."

"Oh...him..."Jay is slightly disappointed but nods.

"I will fetch him for you then..." He goes into their room.

He taps Jake's arms.

"Aish...don't wake me up!" Jake mumbles in his sleep.

"Rara is here to meet you."

"What?" Jake jumps up in surprise.

"She is in the living room, don't make her wait. Come out."Jay says coolly as he goes out.

Jake quickly gets out of bed to go find her.

"Rara!" He smiles wide when he sees her standing there.

Jay sighs, "I will leave you two to talk then..."he is about to leave when Rara holds his hand.

"You don't have to,we don't have any secrets among us."she says,making his heart flutter.

She turns back her focus to Jake,who doesn't seem very pleased with their sudden closeness.

"Why did you come here so early in the morning? Do you have anything to say to me?" He asks coldly.

She reaches out into her sling bag in response and shows him the ring box he left for her the previous night.

"Aah...you don't have to thank me..it's your birthday gift." He says carelessly,but she goes up to him and takes his hand,putting the ring box on his palm.

"What are you doing?" He asks in shock.

"Returning it."she says in a matter-of-fact manner.

"But why? You picked it yourself,saying you liked the design and all..."

"It is not meant for me Jake,it never was!"

He goes silent.

"I know,I bought it for Liyah...but...I forgot to give it to her...anyways you liked it and it's your birthday so-"

"So you thought you could dispose it off on me?! What am I even to you? A recycling center? Someone who will accept all the trash you throw?!" She cries.

"Look. I don't need trash you brought for your trashy girlfriend. That too from you-"

"Don't bring Liyah into this again!"

She sighs.

"One day you will understand. You idiot." She cries and leaves in a hurry.

"Rara yah...Rara!"Jay quickly grabs onto his coat and runs after her to console her.

Jake in a fit of rage throws the rings on the floor and it rolls away.

He runs his hands over his hair in frustration.

"Why?! Why do you play with me like this Oh Ra Ra!!"

"Were you out of your mind? You have really gone crazy haven't you?" Sunghoon shakes his head as he heard what Jake had done.

"What? What grave mistake did I commit?!" Jake pouted.

"Yah...how could you give something like that to Rara when she knew it was originally meant for someone else. You disrespected her!" Sunghoon glared at him.

It slowly seemed to make sense to Jake.

He was at fault.

"I didn't know it was that deep...I just thought since she liked it..."

Sunghoon shakes his head and gets up.

"You are hopeless."

Ever since then,Rara and Jake haven't talked much,only occasionally saw each other during dancing practice with their respective partners.

Prom day finally came.

"Do you think this is okay?" Rara looks at herself in the mirror as Mrs Oh fastens her zip up.

"You look stunning. Jay is going to fall in love!" Mrs Oh giggles.

Rara's cheeks turn the shade of her gown.

"Ajhumma...don't tease me..."she blushes.

"Okay,it's time for you to leave! get going!"

Rara nods and moves out.

Little Jihoon and Minyoung are outside.

"Woah...you look...pretty noona..."Jihoon is awestruck.

Rara bends down to him.

"Then give me a kiss on the cheek."she giggled as he did so shyly.

Minyoung pouts and walks away.

"Awwww...look Minyoungie got jealous...Jihoon always remember,be devoted to the person you like okay? Don't ever hurt them. Be honest about your feelings okay?" She tells the little boy who probably cannot even comprehend the whole meaning. He nods anyway and runs away to find Minyoung.

"That's right,you don't want to end up like your hyung...that Jake brat..."she sighs.

The atmosphere on campus is very lively. Students from all years and courses came together to celebrate this beautiful night of youth.

Jake was hanging out with his soccer team mates,sipping on some mocktails.

"Your girlfriend ain't here yet?" One guy asks.

"Hmm...she is running late..."he casually nods.

"Hey, what happened to Rara,I don't see her around anymore? Did you guys fight or something." Another asks.

"Let's not speak about that. She is just my friend,she doesn't have to be around me always." Jake sighs.

"Hey,speaking of which isn't that Rara?!" One of them says making Jake quickly spring his head in that direction.

There she was. On top of the stairs.  The moonlight falling perfectly on her precious face. Her eyes searching for a particular someone,her lips chanting a name.She looked like an angel in her rosy outfit. She looked beautiful in Jake's eyes.
He couldn't take his eyes off her.

"Woah...was Oh Ra Ra always this pretty...."his friends gasp.

"Jake aa,introduce me to her..."one of them nudges him but he looks at him sternly.

"You all. Stay away from Rara...I don't want f boys like you around her. You better not be seen anywhere around her."he snaps.

"Why? What's your problem? You have a girlfriend anyways." They laugh.

"Hey, look,some guy did approach her!"

They turn their attention back in her direction,to see a tall and handsome guy approach her.

"Park Jay..."Jake mutters.

She happily smiles and walks along with him.

"Aah...so she got a boyfriend now? Well,bad luck to us then." His friends shrug.

Jake downs another drink and shakes his head.

"It's none of your business Jaeyun,don't think about her!"he thinks.

"You look beautiful."Jay says with a dreamy gaze,making her blush.

"You look dashing too..."

"You look like fools." Jake glares from far away in disgust.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the 7th Annual Korea University!" The Dean announces as all students cheer.

"Tonight,forget all your deadlines, assignments and stress. Tonight , we celebrate youth! Let's cherish it for the rest of our lives!"

"To youth!"

The students raise their glasses and cheer.

"And now,we start today's program officially with The Dance! Everyone! Step on the floor with your partners and set the stage alight!"

"Shall we?"Jay extends his arm which she takes with a smile.

A soft and romantic waltz music plays in the background as the move around gracefully.

Jake meanwhile tries to distract himself from watching them dance and dials Liyah,who hasn't turned up yet.

"It's too late...where is she..."he keeps calling her up,but she doesn't pick up.

"Hope everything is okay with her..."he worries.

He quickly calls up her landline.

"Hello?"he hears a little girls voice.

"Lilly?" He recognises Liyah's sister's voice.

"Yes?"

"Could you tell me if your sister Liyah is at home sweetie?"

"Oh...Liyah...Liyah said she was going out with her boyfriend..."

"Huh?" Jake was confused.

"When did she say that?" He asks.

"Umm...it's been a long time...."she says in childish confusion.

"Oh okay...thank you."

He hangs up and is even more puzzled.

"Boyfriend?"

"But that's me...but she isn't here yet...?" He purses his lips.

But there isn't anything much he can do but sit on the bench watching the others have a good time.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! It is now time to announce the Winners of the Prom Dance! Who is that could who took everyone's breath away? The results are in my hands!" The Dean announces showing an envelope in his hand.

All the youngsters clap with excitement.

"Do you think we will have a chance at it haha" Rara whispers into Jay's ears who smiles.

"You never know." He says.

"Dugun dugun dugun.....who is it....who is the winner of the night...?"

Rara taps her feet in nervousness,and Jay,noticing it interlocks his palm with hers. He nods at her confidently.

"Oh Ra Ra and Park Jongseong!"

Rara is very surprised and clasps her hand over her lisp trying to understand what was going on as the students around her cheer.

"We did it!" Jay grins at her.

"Now shall we go get our crown my lady?" He offers his hand to her which she happily takes.

They hop hand in hand towards the dias as the Dean places their crown on them.

"Woah!!" Rara cannot handle the excitement as she and Jay pose together for the college press.

"Huh....good for you both...."Jake pouts. He gets a call just then-

He quickly runs out as it was too noisy inside.

"Hello? Liyah?? Where are you?? Are you alright?!" He worries.

"Babe...I am so sorry! I couldn't make it today!"

"No...first tell me where are you,nothing has happened to you right?"

"No...there was an emergency at home,I couldn't make it today that's why..."

"Oh..."he says slowly.

"Babe,I will call you later okay...I got to go now-" she hangs up.

Jake is shocked that she hung up abruptly like that.

"Well,as long as she is okay..."he sighs.

"How does the most beautiful winner feel?" Jay teasingly asks her as she punches him in the arm.

"It's like a dream! I never thought I would actually win in a contest like this. Thanks for asking me out Jay! It's all thanks to you!!" She happily says.

"Asking you out for the dance or..."he smirks leaning in closer to her as she punches him in the chest.

"Both you dummy!" She giggles.

"Okay then,will you give me the honour of escorting you home-" just then his phone rings.

"Just a second Rara..." He takes a call.

"Sweetheart? Yes?" Rara eyes him,he winks.

"Yes eomma,I can hear you!" Rara laughs listening to him talk to his forever sweetheart.

"Oh...Really...aah I see...don't worry...I will be there!" He nods and hangs up.

He looks guiltily at Rara.

"What happened Jongseong aa..."she looks up at him.

"My mom...dad is arriving by flight tonight. It's a surprise visit,he came so suddenly...I have to go receive him..."

She understands that he doesn't want to leave her and go.

"Jay yah...I will get home alright,don't worry! I will take a taxi. So go and visit your dad. You get to see him after a long time after all." She nods positively.

Jay however seems hesitant.

It was late on the night and many guys were roaming around drunk,he didn't want to her to leave alone.

He spots a man in distance.

Now,how much ever he hates this idea,he decides that he must do it for Rara.

He takes her hand and leads her towards Jake.

"Jake."he says.

Jake looks at the two of them in surprise.

"What?" He raises his eyebrows.

"Drop Rara home for me,please."Jay requests him.

"Jay,that's not needed I can go by myself-" she tries to protest but he doesn't hear any of it.

"It's late Rara,it's not safe for you to go home alone. I would have dropped you myself but-"

"But what? You can't? Have something more important to do?" Jake steps up and smirks.

Jay laughs.

Rara senses this will become a bigger fight with two big egoists so she steps in.

"Look. I don't need neither of your help anyways. Now I will get going,continue to fight till day breaks.Annyong!" She smoothly walks away.

"Rara! Rara yah!" Both of them call out to her,but she waves and keeps walking.

"Look,I know her longer than you did. I am not doing this since you asked so don't be flattered."Jake says.

"No, of course not. You are her FRIEND after all,as her BOYFRIEND , I am really glad MY Rara has such a good FRIEND." Jay stresses upon certain words ,making the blood shoot up Jake's veins.

"See you later Mr Friend." Jay pats his shoulders and waks away.

"That prick..."Jake curses under his breath,but decides to catch up with Rara for the moment.

"Park Jay,I won't go down so easily."
