(Harmony Pov)

"Hey, Harm," I said, raising my eyes just in time to see Jonah walking into my room. "Hey, Jonah," was my cheerful response, a smile spreading across my face as his grin illuminated the space, seemingly lighting up the whole town. He made his way to my bed, briefly engrossed in something on his phone. Then, with a smile, he suggested, "Let's go grab something from my truck." Although hesitant, I tagged along, trailing him downstairs and outside. There, he turned to me, "Harmony, I've got something to ask you." Smiling back, I urged, "What's up?" He guided me to the front of his truck, revealing a "PROM?" message crafted from sticky notes. "Absolutely, I will," I affirmed, embracing him tightly. He smiled, placing a quick kiss on my forehead before quickly apologizing. I assured him it was okay. Checking his watch, he looked disappointed and mentioned he had to head out, asking for my help to take down the sticky notes. After helping him, I watched him drive away, a blush coloring my cheeks.

The next day

Brimming with excitement over the prom invitation, I set out to find a dress, with Jonah by my side for color advice. "How about black?" I proposed, casting a glance over the vibrant dress options despite his recent preference for the color. He then picked out a gorgeous black two-piece dress, encouraging me to try it on. The dress beautifully accentuated my mid-long blonde silky hair. Jonah's compliment on how sexy I looked caught me off guard and made my heart skip a beat - a reaction I didn't see coming. After changing out of the dress, my mind was made up to buy it. Overhearing Jonah's phone talk about needing to go to prom and his readiness to work extra shifts for it, I acted as if I hadn't heard. Announcing my decision to buy the dress, Jonah offered to pay, saying, "Anything for you," his behavior making my heart beat faster. The drive back was animated, with Jonah excitedly talking about how amazing we would look at prom, showing a level of enthusiasm he hadn't before. Dropping me off, he couldn't hide his eagerness to see me in the dress.
