Taehyung was back at his grandma's place, which was also his new home, doing his homework in silence. He had his headphones blasting with the recent pop songs and whenever his hands took a break from the paper, he hummed the tune to the songs.

When Ed Sheeran's Perfect began playing, his mind drifted away to the raven head and his new friend's words. Taehyung dreamily smiled imagining himself and Jungkook in the lyrics. He imagined them pulling over on the side of the road at night and dancing in the heavy rain under the moonlight.

Jungkook would have his veiny, bulky arms around his petite waist and on the firm chest, he'd rest his rest listening to those husky laughs. It looked beautiful. It was crystal the man wanted to get close to him and it made him blush.

What if, he thought, Jungkook would be his Prince Charming? His one and only 'til death do them apart? It had Taehyung smiling like an idiot. But then Jimin's words distracted him. The brunet shrugged it off. For two people who have been friends since diapers, it must be more than normal to bully each other and annoy the shit out of each other.

Taehyung held his burning cheeks and squealed. He really developed a crush on this Jungkook guy right on the first day. He hugged one of the cushions close to his chest before screaming into it.

Jungkook. That's all his mind was occupied with; homework long, long forgotten.

Right when it was the part of the song where he'd imagine Jungkook gawk at him as he approached him in white, there was a knock at the door. A pout played on his lips as he stood up grumpily throwing the cushion back to the couch.

He opened the door and widened his eyes coming face-to-face with a brightly smiling Jimin and a politely smiling Jackson behind him. "We thought we could take you out but then I was curious to see your humble abode and get you something yum!" Taehyung stared at him dumbfounded as he let himself in.

He heard Jackson chuckle, "He's really hyper, right?" the brunet nodded. "But he's like the bestest friend one could possibly get, that I can assure you of!" Taehyung smiled and nodded his head leading the taller male in and closing the door behind him.

"We got you chicken and cola!"

Jimin announced rather loudly which had the brunet run up to him to shut his mouth, "Grandma's sleeping, Jimin." The short male gave him a sheepish smile before settling on the floor in front of the couch, resting his back on it.

He patted his hands on the floor beside him beckoning the two to sit with him. Taehyung sat followed by Jackson who laughed at Jimin's antics while the younger was still trying to figure out Jimin.

The short male was an extrovert. A sweet, angelic extrovert until you got to know him. He was easily to get along with but always had people in their boundaries. He always judged a person right, yet had an open mind.

When he befriends someone, they could rest assured they would never lose him. He never let go of his friends and they always came first to him. Jimin was the embodiment of 'A friend for Life.'

"Why don't we move to the table? You guys would be more comfortable there, right?" Jimin gave a curt shake of the head announcing his dissent. He excitedly opened up the three boxes and the three bottles of cola, "Chicken is meant to be eaten in a fun way as a group. Sitting at the table? Meh, not so much. Let's dig in, I'm starving!"

Jackson and Taehyung laughed as they too joined the shorter. As they began eating and talking about the usual teen junk, they got to know each other better. Like the fact that Taehyung could not ingest spicy food, spicy wings in this scenario which Jimin had bought a box of.

"I'm so sorry, Tae." The short male apologized seeing the brunet hurriedly chug down a glass of cold milk. Taehyung smiled ruffling the other's mushroom hair, "It's okay. You didn't know and I'm just grateful someone's putting an effort to be my friend."

Jackson's lips turned into a pout and Taehyung punched his arm, "That doesn't change the fact that you were my friend."

"But I'm your best friend, right?" Taehyung giggled when Jackson and Jimin had a stare-down. Jimin turned to the brunet and held out his chubby little pinky, "Soulmates?" Taehyung giggled happily linking his much longer pinky sealing the promise, "Soulmates."

"So, Jackson," started the elder of the three, "being the one in the room with the highest number of beds, describe the best and worst of your experience." Taehyung burst out laughing while the aforementioned male had his head down laughing in embarrassment.

"So you can sleep with them knowing their kinks?" the shortest made a disgusting face at the alpha and threw a cushion at him, "Dirty alpha. Gross!" Taehyung quirked his brows, "Alpha?"

Jimin nodded, "Jack's an alpha and I'm a beta. Namjoon Hyung is an Alpha. Your grandma's a beta as well." Jackson curiously stared at the brunet who was nodding at Jimin. "What are you, Tae? You use scent blockers or something? I never got a whiff of your wolf."

That had the beta nodding as well. Taehyung scratched his nape, "Scent blockers? What do you mean?" Jackson pointed out how his grandma and father were werewolves but he was not one, despite taking into consideration that his mother was a human. The alpha looked up to see if the human was following and continued, "Even if one of the partners were human, the baby would still inherit the wolf gene but the rank may be inferior to the wolf parent. Well, in most cases."

Taehyung bit his lips, "Maybe I'm special. Mom always said that I'm unique-est child!" He smiled his proud box smile and Jimin laughed at the adorable human bean before tackling him to the floor and hugging him, Jackson soon joining in.

Meanwhile, the poor omega stared at the little fingerprint he had in his locket. Tears fell down his eyes as he sat on the floor leaning against the unused white crib. It would be 21 years soon... 21 years of regret, a shattered heart and a mind heavy with agonizing memories.

The night was dead silent, even the moon was nowhere to be seen. But it was very cold, at least for the couple. They sat in the untouched nursery which was always neatly cleaned and maintained as if awaiting the arrival of its new occupant.

But the room always reminded them of the day with the cold, coldest nights of all. The day the happiness they waited for nine months met them for the first time and left, forever. The two mates lived with a hole in their hearts yearning to go back in time so they could get a few mere seconds more with their bundle of joy.

The omega's alpha who had him on his lap nuzzled the smaller's neck trying to comfort his mate while he himself could not stop the tears down his face. He had a tiny mitten covering his two fingers like a little cap.

It was the first ever clothing they had gotten for their little bundle of joy but they never got a chance to even try it on their sunshine. Life was cruel and it paid no heed to the tears and cries of aching hearts.

"Maybe our baby is safe and sound and loved, my world."

"But our sunshine won't even know us..."

A/N

If you'd read the old version, you'd know who the couple in the end is. But no spoilers, shush!!! If I hadn't told you guys, lemme remind you- this is just a different version of the old one, okay? I took out all my anger, and hatred and the shitty side of me in that. This book would be like the good, readable version of that, okay? Capisce?

So to the old readers of mine, there won't be surprises for you guys, but hey, who knows! hehehehe

Have a great day/night! Take care :)
