MB 5

Taehyung had no energy nor the mood in him enough to quarrel with his grandmother when she declared he was switching universities and would stay with her and that she has done all necessary arrangements.

The lady was a beta just like her late son Kim Jeonghan. Unlike the woman who stayed loyal to her roots, her son did not wish to be a part of the werewolves and instead explored the human world where he found the love of his life and married her.

The old lady Kim was still living in the pack house and she had made arrangements with an alpha of their pack who was the head of a university. Kim Namjoon was a bright intellect alpha.

Despite his genes, he was never the one for all the boisterous, ragged games and fighting. He was more the yearning for knowledge kinda guy and he excelled at it, quite well. The pack alpha had no doubt in announcing the head of the university when Namjoon became eligible enough.

He was just the smartest kid in the room and going through Taehyung's profile, he was very much impressed and assured the old lady her grandson had a spot in the university. Taehyung, of course, had a very clean record.

He had many scholarships and always stayed on top of the class with perfect grades. Not many students had that kinda determination and one fine example would be the pack's brat and future leader (may God save them), Jeon Jungkook.

Countless one-night stands and parties where he'd drink till morning and come home with a terrible hangover. But how did he get into university? The head alpha was stubborn his son had to the academics on his own, and that he would in no way give him concession neither the others.

Seokjin, his brother, had also commanded his husband not to pity his asshole of a brother. Not even a little bit, "Or I swear to God, you're never having me on your bed, Kim Namjoon." Kim Seokjin was not someone who'd go easy; his husband knew it better than anyone.

"So, Taehyung," the boy looked up at the principal, "I must say I'm deeply impressed about your records." The boy bowed in his seat and thanked the man in front of him. "Where do you see yourself in, let's say, 10 years?"

Taehyung looked up, lips curving into a smile as he recalled his mother's dream, "In a white coat with a stethoscope around my neck and a tablet in my hands checking on my patients' reports."

Namjoon smiled. "Well, welcome to Crescent University. Go wolves!" Taehyung visibly startled by the man's enthusiasm only nodded as he got his bag from the floor and slung it across his shoulder.

The elder handed him his schedule, "Jimin will show you around the campus. Take your time and get used to this place. I wish you luck, Taehyung." The boy nodded bowing at the man before exiting the room.

Clutching the sheet in his hand, he wandered about until someone bumped into him. "I'm so sorry, shit!" he heard the short student holler as he quickened his pace. But soon heard him holler again, "It's all because of you, you jackfuck! Can't you get up a little fucking early! I was supposed to tour a poor new student and now he might be lost in thi—"

His words came to a halt when Taehyung tapped on the shoulder, "I assume you're Jimin?" The short boy nodded, "Kim Taehyung?" That had the short boy's friend close his locker to see the new student.

But the transfer student paid no attention but his eyes trained on the shorter male who was looking through the schedule. "You are in the same department as me! Let's be friends." Jimin cheered, his eyes turning into little crescents which Taehyung found really adorable.

"You're really pretty. And there are some big bad wolves here which are very not nice to deal with. For insta—"

"Jeon Jungkook, sweetcheeks." Taehyung flustered when the raven head kissed his knuckles with a soft smile on his lips and a look in his eyes he could not quite decipher. Jimin stood in front of Taehyung shielding him, "Especially this bloodhound! Steer clear of this pest, okay?"

The transfer student nodded, puzzled. Jimin pulled his friend down by his collar, "Don't even try it, fuckboy! I'll make sure to tell Jin hyung of every single thing you've done." Jungkook pulled away with a cocky smile and hugged his friend to whisper in his ear.

"I don't even have to try. They just come to me. 'Cause I'm status fatale. I make 'em wet and they need me, Jimin-ie pabo..."

Jungkook doubled over when his midget friend's hard-ass boot came in contact- hard, cruel- with his shin. Taehyung widened his eyes not understanding anything that was going on and tried to help the raven head only to pulled away by Jimin.

"Seriously, Tae. Please don't go close to him. He's my best friend but I wouldn't recommend him to anyone." The brunet nodded as they walked along the hallway, "Jackson told me about you. Sorry for your loss."

The other sighed and smiled with a thank you. They spent the entire day together and lunch came sooner. Taehyung and Jimin had their trays as they looked for a place to sit. Jungkook waved at his friend but the midget completely ignored him.

They soon found a table in the corner and they began to gobble up their food. Jimin pointed at one of the guys a little far from their table, "That's Jung Hoseok. He's the most mysterious person here. I've never heard one bad thing about him nor seen him do anything wrong. He doesn't talk much but those kinda guys are always the most romantic."

Taehyung choked on the banana milk and the other laughed, "Slowly, kiddo." As they were talking earlier, they came to know Jimin was much older than Taehyung. "I want my man to be like that too. Silent yet Romeo-ish and a little Christian Grey-ish."

Taehyung was dumbfounded and laughed while the elder stared at him offended, "Oh, shut up!" He could not hold it in and continued while Jimin glared. But his glare softened seeing tears in the other's eyes as his laughter died down.

"I missed laughing. Thank you, Jimin-ssi." Though the elder was taken back, he played it cool carrying on as if he'd heard nothing. "Anyway, let's go back to Hoseok. You can date him. I'll give you the green lights." He said giving the male a thumbs-up.

"I'm not gonna date anyone. I'm gonna become a doctor and then when, and if, I have time, I'll date."

"You know, us wolves, when we turn 21, we'd find our mates. It's supposed to be all magical- pixie dust and hearts. I'll turn 21 this year and so will most of the students here. God, I can't wait for my mate."

"What if you guys are not the same age?" Jimin shrugged, "The other person would know and they'll wait for their mate to recognize them as mates. It's beautiful." Taehyung sighed dreamily; he was a little envious.

It sounded like some fairytale. Two people would belong to each other and each other only. Till death, being someone's first and last love. It had him playing with the peas on his plate as he dreamed.

"Why are thou here?" Jimin's voice pulled him out of his reverie and he looked to his side to Jungkook with his tray, "Can I sit here, newbie?" Taehyung turned to look at the shorter but the raven head set his tray down and grabbed his chin to face him.

"Look at me. Only me, baby."

Jimin snorted and summed at his friend, "Be gone from here, devil. We don't need your dark energy here." But the raven head only looked at the brunet, "But I wanna get to know you. I wanna befriend you too."

"He's a sly fox, not a wolf. Don't fall for that Tae. Don't fall for him."

But Taehyung was long lost in those dark onyx eyes. They sparkled with stars... and pixie dust. Jungkook stared back at him, the hazel eyes resembling little ambers encasing galaxies in them.

The raven head was taken back by his own thoughts and cleared his throat as he settled down next to Taehyung who had shifted his eyes elsewhere. Jimin eyed the two- to and fro.

Something told him there was a black cloud looming over their heads.
