Day of the party

"You look beautiful", Nathan compliments giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you Nate", I half smile.

We are entering his company's party taking a seat on our reserved table waiting for everyone to arrive.

I haven't talked to Eli for a couple of days now since our big fight. I guess he really meant what he said to me. Most likely he's screwing around with some whore.

An hour later

Everyone is finally here and Nathan's dad starts the party. Nathan and I go to the table to grab some food to eat.

Once we reach one of the tables that consists of different seafoods I instantly feel nauseous by the smell.

I cover my mouth by my hand holding in my throw up. I quickly run to the restroom leaving Nathan behind calling my name.

Once I burst through the doors of the restroom I go straight to the toilet kneeling down vomiting.

Thinking about the seafood and the smell of it just makes me vomit even more.

"Babe are you okay?", Nathan barges through the door running towards me.

Nathan grabs my hair noticing my throw up in the toilet.

Once I'm done I grab some toilet paper to wipe clean the outside of my mouth flushing the toilet slowly standing up.

"Babe what's going on?", Nathan furrows his brows worriedly.

"I think it was something I ate that made me feel ill", I respond a bit light headed from the force of throwing up.

"Do you want to leave home?", Nathan cuffs my cheek.

"Yes I'm not feeling well I'm so sorry"

"Don't worry about it.. I'm going to see what food got you ill, so I can throw it away.. what did you eat?"

"Pasta that was it"

"Alright babe I'll check on you once the party is done.. my chauffeur will take you home", Nathan kisses my forehead.

I nod turning my heel to exit out of the building.

An hour later

I'm currently vomiting my guts out. It's my third time throwing up in just a few hours.

I stand up from kneeling down on the floor then rinse my face to refreshen myself.

Scurrying on the bed I lay down throwing over the blankets to warm myself up. I was about to close my eyes when I hear a knock on the door.

Ugh

I get out off of the bed heading out of my room into the living room to open the door.

"How are you feeling babe?", Nathan splutters stepping inside.

"I threw up two more times I think I must of caught food poisoning or something", I respond.

"Do you want me to stay over tonight?", Nathan asks cuffing my cheek.

"No, I'm fine I'll feel better in the morning"

Nathan frowns by my response, but quickly brushes it off not wanting me to see.

"Alright good night hope you feel better and call me if you worsen okay", he smiles pecking my lips.

I just stand there not really returning the kiss hugging him bye.

I close the door locking it heading back to my room getting comfortable.

Eli's face appears in my head making me sad. I really miss him and wish he was right next to me hugging me keeping me warm like he always does.

However we're not in good terms right now and it's all my fault.

Two weeks later

"Nathan mentioned to me that you've canceled house hunting?", my mom raises a brow.

"Yeah I've been sick mom so I really don't have the energy to be doing that right now", I roll my eyes.

"Did you catch the flu?", my mom asks worried.

"Yeah I guess"

"Have you gone to the doctor?"

"No what for? It's just the flu it'll go away I'm already feeling better"

"What's your symptoms?"

"I've been throwing up every morning and there's certain foods that I just can't even deal with like seafood that shit is so nasty", I scrunch up my nose in disgust just thinking about it.

"What? You like seafood though", My mom furrows her brows.

"Well not lately"

"Weird.. anyways Lulu has mentioned to me about Eli being back", my mom croaks.

"Yeah we're cool", I bluntly respond.

"Just cool?", she raises a brow peering at me.

"It's complicated", I sigh.

"I don't want to get in your business hun, but all I'm saying is listen to your heart and I'm here for you whenever you need me", she softly says putting her hand over mine giving it a squeeze for reassurance.

I force a smile giving her hand a little squeeze as well.

"Well I have to go baby girl", she smiles standing up.

"Have a great trip mom and behave yourself I don't want a sibling", I chuckle making her blush.

"Lulu her birthday is in a week and your seriously barely getting the stuff for her 3rd birthday party?!", I scoff.

"I've been busy Gia plus I got this", Lulu smirks throwing all of the party stuff into the cart.

"Have you talked to Eli?", I steer the subject.

"He was at the house a few nights ago", Lulu responds.

It's been a month since the last time I saw Eli. He hasn't texted or call whatsoever and me being so prideful won't reach out first. After all he kicked me out.

"How is he?", I mumble.

"He seems to be doing good from what I've seen.. I think he met a girl though Jesiah mentioned something like that"

I feel my heart fall down to my stomach it's like I just lost all of the air in my body. If I was craving in and out now it's completely ruined. I feel nauseous.

"That's cool", I mutter not wanting to show how hurt I'm feeling right now.

"Gia it's your fault", Lulu huffs.

"My fault? What do you mean Lulu?", I roll my eyes.

"I know everything Gia, sucks that you didn't tell me what you two been up to, but Eli informed me.. and let me just say you fucked up", Lulu mutters.

"I picked Eli Lulu! I am going to break things of with Nathan, but I don't know how to fucking handle it.. I'm going to hurt him", I grumble feeling so stressed out about this situation.

"So your cool with hurting Eli?"

"No I love him"

"Then get your shit together and do what you have to do either way your going to hurt someone no matter what you do", Lulu firmly says.

She's right no matter what actions I take someone is going to get hurt and right now I'm hurting Eli which is not what I want to do.

"Eli moved on quickly though", I grumble thinking about who's this new girl he met.

"Your the one who dragged this for a month. He's single and a guy, so he can do what he wants", Lulu mutters.

I know Lulu is right everything that she's saying is on point. However I'm feeling so friendless since she's on team Eli.

"I'm your friend Lulu not him!"

"Your my best friend Gia but I'm also friends with Eli and I see in this case your the one who fucked up"

"I know I'm sorry I've been having major mood swings lately", I huff feeling stupid.

"It's cool but all I'm saying is fix it before you completely lose the love of your life", she firmly says beaming at me.

I nod in agreement. There's no way in heck I'm losing Eli. It's been four years without him and there's no way I'm letting more time fly by of us being separated.

I'm going to fix this if it's the last thing I'll do.
