Eli's POV

I'm currently getting some protein shakes at the store.

I'm still adjusting to being out in public after so long, but I must admit it feels good to be back.

"Eli?"

I hear someone mumble my name causing me to turn back. My eyes widen from surprise seeing Jesiah after all these years.

"Wassup Jesiah it's been so long", I tug him into a bro hug.

"Damn bro your so ripped!", he splutters a stunned expression on his face.

Jesiah looks older but in good shape.

"Weights bro", I chuckle.

"My bad for everything that happened to you. Did you barely get released or what?", he scratches the back of his neck.

I'm not surprised about everyone knowing my business. The news were definitely nosey with my case and well there's Gia.

"Yeah barely three days ago"

"I'm glad your back you look good", he smiles.

"Thanks.. how's life?", I steer.

"Lulu and I have a 2 year old named Juliah", he grins at the mention of his daughter's name.

"Damn high school sweethearts! Congrats!", I genuinely say shaking his hand.

"Thanks man, you should drop by my place later today we're having a bbq"

"Sure here's my number text me the address", I saved my new number on his iPhone.

"Catch you later"

Gia's POV

"You sure you don't want me to stay?"

"No babe I'm fine I'm just going to stay in", Nathan says from the kitchen.

Nathan worked a twelve hour shift today and is to exhausted to go to Jesiah's bbq.

"Alright I'll bring you back a plate.. see you later fiancé", the sound of the word "fiancé" makes me feel all warm inside.

"Have fun"

40 minutes later

Uber barely drops me off at Jesiah and Lulu's. I make my way towards the door knocking twice.

"Two hours late Gia!", Lulu grumbles as she opens the door seeing me.

I guess somethings just don't change right?

"Shut up", I mutter stepping inside taking off my coat.

The house is crowded with all of our friends eating and of course popping bottles.

Lulu serves me a plate of ribs, rice, and mash potatoes with some fine wine.

"Thank you best friend", I say gratefully blowing a kiss to her.

After a while I was laughing and busting up some jokes with the girls.

"Come on girls let's head out to the backyard with the guys", Lulu suggests grabbing her glass of wine.

We all nod following behind her.

The guys were all playing beer pong waiting for us to join them in their game.

"Gia", Lulu suddenly whispers nervously.

I look at her furrowing my brows in confusing at her weird behavior. I brush her off as I glance where she's currently beaming at.

My world stops everything else disappearing all of the music, laughter, chattering completely silencing.

My eyes must be out of their sockets from how I'm currently staring in pure shock.

My body stiffens like a rock unable to speak, move, nor blink.

My stomach must of done a thousands backflips by now from how nauseated I'm feeling right now.

My lips begin to quiver as well as my body. I can hear my heart pound loudly and faster than usual.

I've never in a million years thought I would ever come face to face with the person who broke me completely.

His emerald green eyes are intently beaming through my soul right now. He looks baffled by my presence as I am with his.

Eli

As he continues to stay seated grabbing onto the lamp pole with his hoody on just warily watching me. I begin to feel wobbly as my vision starts to blur.

"Gia"

I hear someone say my name from afar.

Suddenly my world goes black.

My eyes flutter open as I abruptly lift myself into a sitting position feeling cold ass water hit me all at once.

"Oh my god Gia!", Lulu sniffles as she hugs me tightly.

"What the fuck was that for?!", I scold as I tremble from coldness.

"Bitch you fainted!", Veronica splutters a worried expression on her face.

"I did?", furrowing my brows from confusion.

"Yes you did", an all to familiar deep voice chirps in from behind me.

Suddenly everything hits me at once remembering exactly what happened before I fainted.

I snap my head back confirming everything. Eli is staring at me like if he's just discovered treasure.

I open my mouth to say something, but nothing was coming out. Everything strikes me emotionally as I remember the day he broke me.

"I'm leaving.. pick me up!", I snap at Lulu who keeps nervously beaming at Eli and I.

Lulu helps me stand up to my feet. "Did you invite him here after everything he caused me?", I scold.

Lulu was about to respond when Jesiah chirps in.

"I invited him.. he is my friend Gia my bad I didn't think about it", he squirms.

Eli grabs my arm that I quickly swatted away.

"Don't touch me!", I hiss holding back my tears.

I scooted across the room grabbing my purse from the dining table without saying a word I exit the house slamming the door.

As I started requesting a Uber I hear someone exiting the house as well.

"Gia"

I turn to face Eli who's running towards me.

"Gia I have to talk to you", he screeches in frustration.

"About what?!", I shout.

Seriously it's been four fucking years what the fuck is there for him to say.

"I fucked up four years ago.. I should of never let you go"

"What the fuck! You told me you didn't love me anymore that you used me to just get back at me for kissing Ray!"

"I lied baby I still fucking love you I've always have!", his voice cracks.

Tears start streaming down my face from all of the emotions I'm currently experiencing right now.

"I ain't got time for this!", I blankly respond turning my heel away from him walking away.

Eli grabs both of my shoulders spinning me around. I tried to push him off of me, but it was no use he's way stronger than me.

"I'm not letting you walk away from me! You have no idea how much I fucking suffered without you all these years and now that destiny brought us back together I will not hesitate to fix my mistake", Eli firmly says as he cuffs my cheek.

All I can do is cry. After all this time I feel my heart wound reopen again from Eli coming back into my life.

"Why did you fucking break up with me!", I yell hitting his chest with all of my force.

"My father told me to do it because I was facing 25 to life and you didn't deserve to waste your time on me especially with everything you have accomplished", he explains grabbing my hands into his to keep me from hitting him.

"I fucking begged for you Eli to stay with me. I didn't give a fuck how much you got I would of waited for you, but you fucking destroyed me. Your a selfish asshole! You have no idea how fucked up I was after that day!", I sob.

"I know Gia there was not a day I didn't think of you I swear! Give me a second chance please I beg you! I will fix all of the suffering I've caused you", Eli begs his eyes a glossy sheen.

"It's been four fucking year Elias! Four fucking years it's to late now!", I hiss wiping the tears from my cheeks.

"Don't say that your stabbing my heart right now", he huffs.

"I've moved on I'm sorry", I mumble looking down to my ring remembering my status.

Eli's emerald green eyes follow my eyes down seeing my engagement ring.

His eyes instantly became watery I can tell he was on the verge of crying. However I can see his fists clench meaning he's angry as fuck.

"Your engaged?", he venomously spat.

"Yes so leave me alone!", I scold turning my heel away running as fast as I could.

I turn into a corner looking back to make sure he wasn't following me which he wasn't.

I can't believe after all of this time I'm crying like a little bitch who barely had her heart broken.

Anger, sadness, and shock is all I can feel right now. I never thought I would encounter him after all of this time.

After four years of living my life moving on from him and starting a new life for myself. He comes back into my life.

Why couldn't he told me all of this 4 years ago instead of now.

Feeling frustrated by all of this thoughts and emotions I begin to punch and kick a fence nearby.

As I punch and kick I shout from the pain I'm feeling in my heart.

It's crazy how it took so long for my wound to heal and within seconds of seeing Eli the wound reopens like if he broke up with me just yesterday.
