One week later

Gia's POV

"One more week girl.. How are you feeling?", Bianca asks as we stretch our legs.

We are currently doing our daily morning exercises.

"I can't wait to get out of here", I respond with excitement in my voice.

I'm literally counting the days for the day I'm finally out this bitch.

However the only thing I will miss is my two friends Bianca and Davina.

"So how did your court go Bianca?", I mumble.

"I'm doing 3 months for the stupid car theft", she grumbles.

"That's way better than me girl I still have one more year until I'm free", Davina chirps in.

I feel so bad for Davina if anything she's the only one that truly doesn't deserve to be locked up unlike us.

Maybe I can talk to my lawyer about Davina's case as soon as I'm out.

"Don't worry I will write you guys and I can't wait until the day the three of us are hanging out together out there", I say trying to comfort the both of them especially Davina.

The three of us grin at each other as we all get into a group hug.

We were now in our free time to read and respond to letters.

All my friends have been on point with sending me letters since I've been in here besides one person.

Claudia

I don't want to make it a big deal, but I must admit I find it odd since she's one of my good friends.

"Here's a new letter", Mr. Ramirez the unit's guard says handing me an opened envelope.

I hate how they read out letters before we do

"Thank you", I smile grabbing the letter from him.

To my surprise this letter says it's from Aiden Nielson.

I'm pretty baffled by this to be honest never in a million years would I think Aiden would write me after everything that has happened.

I feel anxious to know what the letter says as I pull it out.

Dear Gia,

   I'm sorry I'm barely writing you, but I just didn't have the balls to write you sooner after everything that has happened between us. I regret being a jerk to you about your relationship with Eli please understand I was just trying to protect you. I must admit that it hurts me seeing you happy with him and not with me. But I'd rather have you in my life as a friend than not at all. I really miss your friendship. I hope we can start new as friends like we once were. I hope your doing good and can't wait for your return. Hope to receive a respond from you soon friend :)

As I finished reading Aiden's letter a tear manages to slide down my cheek.

Aiden is such a great guy even after everything he still is very forgiving.

I really missed Aiden as a friend and I'm glad we can start fresh.

30 minutes later

After I'm done writing letters to Eli, Lulu, and Aiden. I hand them over to Mr. Ramirez.

I make my way towards my room feeling exhausted.

I lay on my 1 inch mattress as I stare at the ceiling.

All I can think about is my plans with Eli once I'm out.

I can't wait to graduate, head to college, and move into my own place with Eli by my side.

I've never looked forward to life as much before than I do now.

Lulu's POV

It's been so boring without my bestie Gia.

School just isn't the same without her shit my life isn't the same without her.

I really miss her

One more week and I'll have my best friend back.

It's currently brunch

I'm munching on my hot Cheetos while sitting on Jesiah's lap chatting with all of our friends.

Eli is near Jesiah while giving a stern glare at Claudia.

I furrow my brows in confusion at this sight.

My eyes look over at Claudia who is rolling her eyes at him.

What the fuck is going on

Suddenly a familiar deep voice I haven't heard in 2 years breaks my focus.

"Wassup guys long time no see"

This voice made the little hairs on my arms stand up.

My eyes travel to the direction this voice is coming from.

Ray

I quickly stand up as Jesiah follows.

"Wassup bro what a surprise", Jesiah greets him excitedly.

All the boys and girls surround them greeting Ray as well.

I just stand there frozen finding it quite hard to believe this is happening right now.

"It's been too fucking long being away", Ray responds.

"Where the heck have you been at?", Jesiah asks scrunching up his brows.

"I was locked up this whole time, but I'm a free man now since 2 days ago", Rays smirks.

"For real what the fuck did you do to be locked up for 2 years bro?"

"I was caught with a weapon at some fight"

"Damn well i'm glad your back its nice to see you again bruh", Jesiah pulls Ray into a bro hug again.

I look over at Eli who's watching the two with a questioning look on his face.

The bell rings for us to head to third period.

Saved by the bell

I see Eli stand up from the bench leaving with two of his guy friends.

My nerves ease down knowing there wouldn't be no confrontation between Eli and Ray.

Gia is in for a huge surprise once I tell her

"Lulu is that you?!", Ray's deep voice sputters.

"Uh-uh y-yeah Hi", I mumble nervously not knowing how to act.

"How have you been it's been so long since I've seen any of you", he huffs.

"I know right", I nervously chuckle.

"So what's new with everyone?", Ray smiles.

"Well Lulu and I are together now", Jesiah chirps in grabbing my hand.

"W-what it's about damn time", Rays teases as he chuckles out loud.

Jesiah chuckles back while I just force a smile.

I find it hard to be cool with Ray after what he did to my best friend.

Ray really hurt Gia.

"Where's Gia?", Ray firmly asks breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Why do you care?", I sneer.

"Babe", Jesiah nudges me.

"It's okay bro I understand why Lulu is acting this way", Ray intervenes.

"I need to head to class I can't afford to get another tardy I'll see you later", I say to Jesiah giving him a kiss on his cheek as I walk away.

How dare Ray ask about Gia after what he did to her.

As soon as I get home I'm going to write Gia another letter letting her know about Ray.

Jesiah's POV

"My bad about Lulu bro", I say feeling a bit embarrassed.

"It's cool bro don't trip about it", Ray responds.

"What class do you have next?"

"Science"

"Same here I'll show you to our class", I say as we start walking towards our third period.

"Where's Gia Jesiah? Does she still come here?", Ray insists again.

I'm quite surprised Ray is so interested in Gia's whereabouts after what he did to her 2 years ago.

"Uhm she's still attends here", I plainly respond scratching the back of my head.

"Where is she then? I didn't see her with you guys", Ray raises a brow.

"She's locked up in the moment", I splutter.

"What the fuck what she do?!", Ray scowls a baffled expression plastered on his face.

"Long story short bro.. She got into a fight with Ana in school which got her in probation then she got into another intense fight with some new girl over Eli which got her locked up"

"Who's Eli?", Ray frowns at the sound of another guy's name.

"Gia's boyfriend"

"Oh", Ray creases his brows looking a bit unhappy.

"How long has she been locked up?", he quickly adds.

"It's been 3 weeks and a couple of days... She'll be out in a week"

"That's cool I was hoping to see her today, but I guess it'll have to wait", Ray smirks.

I can already tell Ray is going to be trouble and knowing Gia once she finds out by Lulu she's going to freak out.

"For what? You know Gia hates your guts right?", I remind Ray about his position.

"I need to talk to her about a few things that's all and yeah I know"

"Good luck and don't take it wrong bro, but Eli is my boy too and he's very territorial over her", I inform Ray.

"I see", Ray responds rolling his eyes at the mention of Eli.

I'm not looking forward to the drama about to unleash once Eli and Ray meet.
