Chapter 53
I know Francisco lachowski doesn't have Emerald green eyes, but let's PRETEND alright lol!
Today is my court date and I'm nervous as heck.
I'm currently outside with my unit doing our morning exercises.
Once we finished our work out, we proceeded to head into the shower room.
As we got in line I felt someone pass me bumping my shoulder.
I quickly snap my head up towards the person who bumped me.
A skinny girl with red-brown hair stood in front of me smirking.
She is the same height as me.
"So you bump me then smirk?", I furrow my brows.
"What are you going to do about it?", she sneers.
My fists quickly clenched at her challenge, but then my conscience spoke up.
This same shit right here is what got you in here idiot!
As much as I wanted to show her that I'm no bitch, I had to falter back.
"Ha", she splutters as she gets in line.
All I could do was stare at her mentally beating her ass.
"Ignore her she's a bully", A soft voice says breaking me from my wonderful day dream.
I turn to my right seeing this tall light skinned girl with long jet black hair smiling at me.
"Who is she?", I ask.
"Her name is Priscilla. She's always starting shit with everyone", She responds.
"Why? What's her problem?"
"She just likes to intimidate in order to run shit"
This Priscilla chick is retarded as fuck.
It's clear who runs shit here and trust me it's not any of us.
It's the system
"What's your name?", I ask now intrigued by this girl.
"My name is Davina and yours?", She smiles.
"Gia nice to meet you and thanks for the info"
"Anytime", she replies as we get in line.

"Gia lets go", Officer Jaslina says as we walk out of the unit.
I'm currently hand cuffed following the red tape.
Ever since my p.o. locked me in here our friendship went down the drain.
She tries to talk to me here and there, but I always just answer short.
I know it's my fault and she's doing her job, but I can't help but feel betrayed in a way.
Once we hit the wooden door down the hallway
Officer J opens the door stepping aside to let me walk in first.
As soon as I walk in I see a small court room with a male cop guarding the room.
A lady sitting near the Judge typing non stop.
My eyes lock with the Judge intimidating me a bit.
He's a very old man with gray-white hair he seems in his mid 50's.
I look away and see my mother sitting on a desk with a suited man with a suitcase around her age.
I furrow my brows at this sight wondering who he is.
Suddenly I feel someone staring at me.
I turn my head to my right side my eyes almost popping out of my sockets.
Eli
He was wearing a dark gray long sleeve shirt with dark olive sleeves.
Eli's whole face lights up when he sees me.
My eyes stays locked with his beautiful emerald green eyes.
I miss him so much
I force a genuine smile on my face to let him know I'm doing okay.
Eli smiles back, but I can tell he's hurting seeing me in this state.
All chained up not being able to come near me.
Suddenly I feel a tight grip on my arm pushing me forward.
"Eyes to the front", the cop firmly says.
What a dick
I look away from Eli facing the stupid judge.
I hear Eli growl in the back knowing he must be having a hard time controlling his anger right now.
I'm seated near Officer J facing the Judge.
Next to us sits my mother and this mysterious suited man.
As the Judge talks about my case all I can think about is Eli.
It sucked not being able to look back knowing he's right behind me.
All I want to do is to run over and jump on him hugging him tight.
While planting kisses all over his baby face.
"Anyone here to present Gia Marin's case?", the Judge abruptly asks.
"Me your Honor", the mysterious suited man speaks up.
Is he my lawyer?
"Wow Mr. Famous", the judge says.
Famous?
The suited man grins letting out a soft short chuckle.
"May I have a word with my client your Honor?"
"Request granted", the judge strikes the gravel onto the sound block.
The suited man walks over to me greeting my p.o.
"Hello Gia how are you doing?", he asks smiling.
"Horrible", I truthfully respond.
"Don't worry I'll get you out", he reassured me.
"Who are you?"
"I was hired by Eric Gold he's a good friend of mine. My name is Victor Naboa I'm your lawyer"
A smile formed on my lips feeling so grateful for grandpa Eric helping me during my hard times.
"Nice to meet you", I say smiling.
"Gia violated her probation", A loud angry firm voice chirps in.
I snap my head up towards this bearded man who seems in his mid 30's.
"May I add Gia didn't harm the victim", my lawyer argues back.
"She still violated her probation. She knew the rules and disregarded it", the prosecutor retorts.
I hate him
"My client was being bullied by her classmate Francia Raisa which by the way has a record with the law may I add", my lawyer sputters.
What Francia is a criminal?
"Gia should be sentenced to 6 months in juvenile detention center", the prosecutor insists.
Once I hear 6 months my stomach gets into a knot.
Please don't sentence me for that long please
I can hear Eli in the back sighing out of frustration.
Already knowing how Eli is he probably fighting himself from launching at this asshole prosecutor.
"Your Honor my client defended herself from Francia's bullying. I have records of her recent grades since she's been in probation as well as prove that she completed her community hours", my lawyer retorts handing the judge some files.
The judge takes a look at the files.
"Wow from D's and C's to all straight A's", the judge comments while scanning through the files.
He then looks up at me, "Gia what is your academic plans after high school?".
"I'm planning on attending Evergreen Valley College Sir", I firmly respond.
"Good for you", He nods.
"What's your plea deal?", he then turns facing my lawyer.
"House arrest for a month"
I would of complained about this bullshit, but it's better than being in here.
So I was happy with the bargain.
"Your Honor...", the prosecutor gets cut off by the judge.
"Request granted", the judge says grabbing the gravel as he pounds it on the sound block.
My emotions were all over the place.
I was so beyond happy.
"When is her release date?", my lawyer asks as he writes in his notepad.
Please let it be today please please
The Judge scratches his beard while he thinks.
"A month", the judge responds.
Noooooo!
My vision started to blur from hearing my sentence.
I know a month is 10x better than 3 to 6 months I was facing for violating my probation.
I mean I should be happy, but I just really wanted to get the fuck out of this place.
I miss my mom, home, Eli, and friends most importantly I miss my freedom.
I'm probably being overly dramatic, but yeah not all bad girls love being caged up you know.
Once the judge dismisses my case session.
My lawyer walks over to me.
"A month will fly by I promise"
"Are you sure?", I frown feeling a bit upset.
"Yes if I was you I would take advantage with the school credits here, so when your out who knows you might graduate early", he smiles.
He's so right I have to take advantage
"Will do Thank You", I say feeling suddenly happy, motivated, and most importantly very hopeful.
I'm suddenly lifted by my arm by the officer.
I look at my mother who seems so happy by the outcome of all of this.
"I love you see you soon", I say to her as I'm pulled away.
Heading towards the door I quickly take a glance at Eli.
His eyes were intently looking at me as I walked by.
A smile forms on my lips as I whisper to him
"I love you wait for me"
Eli nods then he whispers back
"I love you too and I promise I will"
I feel my heart beat faster by his presence and his words.
I'm so glad I got to see him today.
Eli never breaks his promises
This motivated me even more as I look forward to the day I'm finally free.
