This is something EXTREMELY old that I wrote when i was in the Danny Phantom Fandom. Just to warn you, this may be terrible.

On a crystal clear night in Amity Park, Danny sits on the roof of his house, staring at the full moon. Danny just finished a fight with Skulker. And it was rough. Danny won the fight yet again, but he got several major bruises and a scar on his left cheek. Danny looks at the bandage on his cheek then sighs. Dan Phantom. The once evil and most powerful ghost who lived. Now lived with Danny as his somewhat older brother. Dan hears Danny on the roof then floats up onto the roof and sees danny sitting at the edge of the building, just staring off at the night sky. Dan (while still in his ghost form) walks up to danny and asks.

Dan: Hey kid. What's up?

Danny doesn't say a word. He just continues looking at the moon and sky. Dan sits down next to him and tries to think of another question to ask him.

Dan: So... Rough fight huh?

Danny looks at him and says.

Danny: Yeah... I got a little beat up. Skulker was determined to stay and kill me. But I did what I usually do, I trapped him in the thermos and sent him back to the Ghost Zone.

Dan: Yeah the Ghost Zone. Not the nicest place in the world. But it's where ghosts like him belong.

Danny smiles then turns back to the night sky.

Danny: Have you ever seen the night sky look so wonderful?

Dan looks at the sky and sees every star shining and the full moon at it's brightest. Danny was right, he thought to himself. The night was beautiful. He turns to danny and says.

Dan: Hey, Danny. I just wanted to say that, I appri-

Before Dan could finish. Both of they're Ghost Senses went off. And not long after, a magenta ball of ecto-energy comes flying towards Danny. Dan jumps in front of Danny, taking the hit for him. Danny is shocked to see that Dan just did that for him.

Danny: You-You just took a bullet for me!? Why?

Dan groans, he gets up and steps in front of danny.

Dan: Your hurt for one, Two I can take a hit better than you can, Three I know that energy blast anywhere. If you got hit by it the way you are now, you wouldn't survive. Now go run in the house and go tell everyone that-

Dan was interrupted by a low, british accent that both Danny and Dan despised.

Vlad: Well hello Daniel. It's been a while. And who's that flaming hot head that's apparently protecting you from yours truly?

Danny: What do you want Plasmius! You have no business here!

Vlad: Oh Daniel. It's like you don't know me at all. Anyways I just came to talk Daniel.

Danny: about what?

Vlad floats down onto the roof the changes into his human form. He walks up to danny but Dan isn't allowing him to get too close.

Vlad: I just want to talk with you Daniel. If it's ok with body guard here.

Danny: Dan could you give us a little space. I can take care of myself. And if I need you I'll call for you ok?

Vlad stares directly into Dan's eyes with great intensity. Dan does the same. Dan turns to Danny and says.

Dan: Fine. But I will be watching.

Dan Flies off into the air and watches at a distance. Vlad walks up closer to danny and says.

Vlad: Daniel. I need your help with something i've been working on. I concerns you and your powers.

Danny: What do you mean My powers?

Vlad walks behind Danny and says.

Vlad: Well I can explain later. Right now your a danger to yourself.

Danny: whaddya mean.. Ah!

Vlad knocks out Danny then turns back into his ghost form.

Vlad: Sorry Daniel. But you need help.

He puts Danny on his shoulder then flies off. Dan notices this and flies after him. Dan gets in front of Vlad and says.

Dan: Heh. Where do you think your going?

Vlad smiles as he drops Danny.

Vlad: Oops.

Dan flies down to grab Danny before he hits the ground. But before he got to him, Danny turned into a cloud of green smoke. Dan Hovers for a moment then says.

Dan: A Clone!

Dan flies up in the air as fast as he could to try and find Vlad. Vlad was at the edge of Amity Park and getting farther. Dan raced over to stop Vlad. As Dan catches up to Vlad He fires a few energy balls, but Vlad dodges everyone. Finally Dan stops, takes a deep breath, then lets out a Ghostly Wail. The wail stops Vlad, but makes him drop danny. Dan grabs Danny then sets him on the ground. He turns around and runs toward Vlad and punches him a few times. Vlad falls to the ground, then stands up and makes five duplicates of himself then makes five duplicates of danny. Each clone of Vlad picks up the clone of Danny and flies off. Dan flies off to try and stop the real Vlad and get back Danny. But the real Vlad was still on the ground. As Dan fights Vlad's clones, Vlad walks up to Danny and picks him up and flies to his mansion.

Vlad Sets Danny down on a bed in one of his guest rooms. While Danny is still unconscious, Vlad change back into his human form, and grabs a bowl of warm water and a damp rag. Vlad places the rag on Danny's forehead then sits on a chair, waiting for Danny to wake up. After about an hour or so, Danny starts to wake up. Danny looks around and sees Vlad sitting somewhat sadly in the chair across from the bed he was in. Vlad looks up with tired eyes and a slight smile and says.

Vlad: Daniel, your finally awake.

Danny: W-what am I doing here?!

Vlad: Daniel. I had to bring you here for something very important. It's... about what's wrong with you.

Danny: What do you mean what's wrong with...

Vlad: Don't play dumb Daniel. You knew something's been wrong with you for a while, haven't you?

Danny: No, no I've been fine. Actually great. Hehehe.... Yeah your right. I noticed just last month. It started out small like, slower flying speed and decreased energy. things like that. Then it started to get worse. My powers started shorting out in battle, I would change back into my human self uncontrollably, and injuries sometimes staying for a couple weeks before going away. I've been needing Dan to help me catch ghosts now that I basically depend on him. I don't know what's wrong with me. But do you?

Vlad: My boy. I don't know how to tell you this but, You have contracted a fatal ghost illness called the Phantom Sickness. I noticed this just after you defeated King Pariah. After that I kept a close eye on you since then. As I watched you, you seemed to get weaker in every battle. That's why I haven't fought with you for so long. I came to your house tonight to come and get you. I meant to come peacefully but that so called "Dan" forced me to take more drastic measures.

Danny: Wait, Dan? Where is he? Does he know i'm here? 

Vlad: No. He doesn't. But he probably will come here eventually. Till then, get some rest little badger. You look as pale as a ghost.

Danny: (sarcastically) Ha Ha. Very funny Vlad.

Vlad: Oh and Daniel. This is really important. Don't go into ghost form. It'll just make the sickness worse.

Vlad leaves Danny's room and closes the door behind him. Danny looks up at the ceiling and gets comfortable in the bed that Vlad put him in and thinks to himself.

Danny: Why would Vlad wanna help me? Does he actually care about me? Or is this some trick of his to get me to be his son? Well whatever the case, I'm gonna find out sooner or later.

The Next Morning. Danny wakes up hoping that what happened last night was a dream. He looked around to see that he was in a room with maroon satin sheets and some Packers memorabilia on the shelf next to him. He rubbed his head and thought.

Danny: Ugh...Im in one of Vlad's rooms.

Vlad's Note: Daniel, I completely forgot that I had guests coming over at 1:00 pm today. If your feeling well enough to come down, please wear the suit. I will help you with if you with the suit if you need me to. And if anyone asks who you are, just say that your my nephew visiting from another part of Wisconsin. From, Vlad.

Danny read over the note a few times before looking back up at the suit that Vlad gave him.

Danny: Well, at least he's not asking me to be his son.

Danny looked at the clock that was on the nightstand next to the bed he was in. The clock said 12:34. He thought to himself, and decided to go down to the party-thing that Vlad was hosting. Danny quickly put on the suit and started to walk out the door. Danny struggled with a red tie that came with his suit. Danny didn't know how to tie a tie but he thought that maybe Vlad could help him. He went downstairs and saw Vlad standing at a bookcase, probably looking for something to read before his guests came. Danny walked slowly up to Vlad. Vlad looked over and saw Danny walking up to him.

Vlad: Afternoon Daniel. Feeling better?

Danny: Yeah I guess. Hey I was wondering if... you could help me tie this?

Vlad looks at Danny with shock. Danny was actually asking for help from him.

Vlad: Heh. I would have thought you'd try and figure it out on your own before asking me for help.

Danny: Could you at least show me how to tie it?

Vlad: *sigh* I'll tie it for you.

Vlad walks up to Danny and wraps the tie around Danny's collar.

Vlad: It goes like this. You wrap it around this end twice, pull this up through here, and pull it through the loop here then pull it tight. There see? Simple.

Danny: Wow. Thanks Vlad.

Vlad: Your welcome. Now the guests will be here soon so how about you go and read a book or something in the meantime.

Danny turns away from Vlad and walks to another bookshelf and looks for a decent book to pass the time. Danny looks for about 2 minutes then finds a book that interests him. He picks it up off the shelf and walks to the couch that was sitting behind him. He sat down and flipped open the hardcover of the book then started reading. After flipping page after page, Danny heard a knock at the door. He thought it was going

be Vlad's guests so Danny got up, put the book away, the walked over to Vlad but staying a decent distance away from him. Vlad opened the door but saw a young man in a black suit and red eyes walks up to Vlad and says.

Dan: Hey Vlad, haven't seen you in a little while. I just dropped by to pick up what belongs to me.

Vlad: Im sorry but do I know you?

Dan: No, but he does.

Dan points to danny. Danny walks over to Vlad and says.

Danny: Dan?

Vlad: Wait. This is Dan? He's a halfa?

Danny: No he's not a halfa. He's a full ghost. But he can change his form to look human.

Dan: that's right. Now, danny come. We need to get you back home now.

Dan grabs danny by the arm and pulls him outside. Dan changes into his ghost form. He hovers in the air and sneers at Vlad. Dan waits for danny to change into his ghost form but doesn't. Dan looks at danny confused and impatiently.

Dan: Danny change into your ghost form Now!

Danny: I can't.

Dan: Why not?

Vlad: Because he is slowly dying. And using his powers will make it worse! 

Dan: What?

Danny: I have the Phantom Sickness!

Dan looks down at danny with a shocked expression. He floats down to Danny and says.

Dan: How did you get the Phantom Sickness?

Danny: I don't know. But it started after I defeated King Pariah Dark. When I almost....

Vlad: When you almost died.

Danny: Yeah...

Dan: Well if you can't go home, Then I'm staying here.

Danny: What?

Dan: you heard me.

Dan changes back to his human form and walks up to Vlad. Dan was huge compared to Vlad. He was at least a foot and a half taller than him and this kinda shocked danny since vlad is just as tall as his dad, and his dad is at least 6' 2''.

Dan: If that's ok with Fruitloop here?

Vlad: *sigh* Fine, and I am not a fruitloop!

Dan: Good. Now, I think I saw some of your co-workers and businessmen pulling up around the corner a few minutes ago. You having a meeting or something?

Vlad: You could say that. If anyone asks who you or Daniel are, Daniel is a visiting nephew of mine, and you could be... I don't know, His older brother.

Dan: If it means not getting too much attention drawn to me or him that's fine by me.

Vlad: Fine then.
