I got this idea after watching Zootopia once more, as they don't show any birds (Aves), reptiles, or amphibians. There is also the fact that Zootopia is the city that welcomes all mammals.

Key word; Mammals.

And with how the movie does show how divided the whole city is, with predators and prey, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that the same thing happens to birds, reptiles and amphibians. Either low-key or not, I could see that happening.

In any case, because of this, I wanted to make my OCs into Zootopia characters, trying to match them best with a bird or reptile.

It was easy to decide who the bird and who the reptile would be. Hope is just more bird-like, in appearance and personality in a lot of ways. The same goes with Nicole, more in personality though.

It was between a Great Egret or a Whooping Crane for Hope. Great Egrets are tall and very thin birds, very thin. So it fit with her in appearance. Whooping Cranes is the tallest bird in North America - their wingspan can go up to 7 feet or more! - so it also fit with Hope as well. In the end, that can be altered. In Zootopia, while realistic in a lot of ways, it is a animated movie and they do not look totally like animals. As Hope is taller and thinner then usual, it stands to reason that it would be the same no matter what species she is in Zootopia. 

Then we get into behaviors and diets, and I looked a read a lot about the whole thing to make sure it fit with Hope. In the end, and after learning more then I have ever about these two birds, I chose the Whooping Crane.

As Whooping Cranes don't have ears, Hope wears her glasses in a goggle fashion. This is to make sure that they stay on her head. It's also a nod to plane fliers as well, or those that have to do things in the air, as they have to wear goggles to protect their eyes from the elements while in the air.

Now for Nicole, it took some time to find a reptile that would work. For one thing, I wanted to make sure that said reptile had feet, as well as teeth. That cut down some of the options. After that, it was going through a list.

Eventually, I came to the Tegu Lizards. These lizards are very intelligent, as they can be train much like dogs. They can even be house-broken, just like a dog or cat. They are also more affectionate then other lizards and reptiles, having been seen going to humans for said affection regally and clearly.

Having said that, they can make great household pets from what I have read and seen on the internet. Not that I would get one, house is full with three dogs already.

Anyway, I found that this smart lizard fit well with Nicole, so I made her into one. It also helps that the Lizard isn't too small, like a Gecko. They can get up to 4.5 feet. But like I said, it can be altered a bit. But I wouldn't be able to alter a Gecko too much in height for Nicole if she was one, they are meant to be small. Here, I have some leg room like with Hope. But I think it's fine at 4.5 feet. I'll think on what their heights are later.

I'm thinking on making a story in Zootopia with my two OCs as this. But it's only a idea right now. We'll see.

I might touch these up a bit and color them later on.
