Am I procrastinating on artwork I SHOULD be doing?? Yes! Yes I am. And I feel bad but like ahahahahaha what's being a reliable team member?

Anyway

Yeah, so this one took the better part of 4 hours, but believe it or not, an hour of that ended up being useless. Because it was me. Coloring. For an hour. And deciding I didn't like it. And starting over.

So I just reverted my cell shading and made two versions: one monochromatic and one with like, actual colors

Still not sure how I feel about it but like w h a t t h e h e c k h e r e

Monochromatic, baby...before you get impressed I literally just took the colored version and put on a monochromatic filter (which means it's all different shades of one color) and messed with the brightness/contrast. I've never done this before, but it's very atmospheric and I like it

You know you're soulmates when your color schemes are reversed...

(Blue jacket, desaturated blue hair; red jacket, brownish-red hair. Yes I'm a genius. Yes that was accidental.)

This is gonna shock you...but the line art's black

No colored line art this time. I can act like I intended it and say that I wanted harsher lines to blend in the background and bring out the colors while also adding a sense of unity to the piece, but really I just forgot to turn on the layer when I first screenshotted it and decided I liked that better 

My art teacher better be proud of that explanation I just busted out
